¹ Christ, then, having suffered for our sakes in flesh, you also arm yourselves with the same thought, for he who is suffering in flesh has ceased his sins,

¹⁶ Wash yourselves! Purge yourselves! Take away the evil of your actions from in front of My eyes!

⁴¹ And burnt your houses with fire, And done in you judgments before the eyes of many women, And I have caused you to cease from going a-whoring, And also a gift you give no more."

² May it not be coming to that! We, who died to sin, how shall we still be living in it?

⁷ for one who dies has been justified from Sin.

¹¹ Thus you also, be reckoning yourselves to be dead, indeed, to Sin, yet living to God in Christ Jesus, our Lord."

¹² The night progresses, yet the day is near. We, then, should be putting off the acts of darkness, yet should be putting on the implements of light." ¹³ As in the day, respectably, should we be walking, not in revelries and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy, ¹⁴ but put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and be making no provision for the lusts of the flesh."

²⁰ With Christ have I been crucified, yet I am living; no longer I, but living in me is Christ. Now that which I am now living in flesh, I am living in faith that is of the Son of God, Who loves me, and gives Himself up for me."

²⁴ Now those of Christ Jesus crucify the flesh together with its passions, and lusts."

¹³ Therefore take up the panoply of God that you may be enabled to withstand in the wicked day, and having effected all, to stand."

⁵ For let this disposition be in you, which is in Christ Jesus also,

³ for you died, and your life is hid together with Christ in God." ⁴ Whenever Christ, our Life, should be manifested, then you also shall be manifested together with Him in glory." ⁵ Deaden, then, your members that are on the earth: prostitution, uncleanness, passion, evil desire and greed, which is idolatry,

¹⁰ For he who is entering into His stopping, he also stops from his works even as God from His own."

³ For take into account the One Who has endured such contradiction by sinners while among them, lest you should be faltering, fainting in your souls."

¹⁸ seeing that Christ also, for our sakes, once died concerning sins, the just for the sake of the unjust, that He may be leading us to God; being put to death, indeed, in flesh, yet vivified in spirit,
