¹ And it comes to pass as David sat in his house, that David said unto Nathan the prophet, `Lo, I am dwelling in a house of cedars, and the ark of the covenant of Yahweh [is] under curtains;. <sup>2</sup> and Nathan said unto David, `All that [is] in your heart do, for Elohim [is] with you.. ³ And it comes to pass on that night that a word of Elohim is unto Nathan, saying, ⁴ `Go, and you have said unto David My servant, Thus said Yahweh, You do not build for Me the house to dwell in. <sup>5</sup> for I have not dwelt in a house from the day that I brought up Israel till this day, and I am from tent unto tent:and from the tabernacle, <sup>6</sup> whithersoever I have walked up and down among all Israel, a word spoke I, with one of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed My people, saying, Why have you not built for Me a house of cedars? <sup>7</sup> `And now, thus do you say to My servant, to David, Thus said Yahweh of Hosts, I have taken you from the habitation, from after the sheep, to be leader over My people Israel, ⁸ and I am with you whithersoever you have walked, and I cut off all your enemies from your presence, and have made for you a name like the name of the great ones who [are] in the earth. ⁹ `And I have prepared a place for My people Israel, and planted it, and it has dwelt in its place, and is not troubled any more, and the sons of perverseness add not to wear it out as at first, <sup>10</sup> yea, even from the days that I appointed judges over My people Israel. `And I have humbled all your enemies, and I declare to you that a house does Yahweh build for you, ¹¹ and it has come to pass, when your days have been fulfilled to go with your fathers, that I have raised up your seed after you, who is of your sons, and I have established his kingdom, ¹² he does build for Me a house, and I have established his throne unto the eon;" ¹³ I am to him for a father, and he is to Me for a son, and My kindness I turn not aside from him as I turned it aside from him who was before you, ¹⁴ and I have established him in My house, and in My kingdom unto the eon, and his throne is established unto the eon.. ¹⁵ According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so spoke Nathan unto David. ¹⁶ And David the king comes in and sits before Yahweh, and said, `Who [am] I, O Yahweh Elohim, and what my house, that You have brought me hitherto? <sup>17</sup> And this is small in Your eyes, O Elohim, and You speak concerning the house of your servant afar off, and have seen me as a type of the man who is on high, O Yahweh Elohim!" <sup>18</sup> `What does David add more unto You for the honor of Your servant; and You Your servant have known. ¹⁹ O Yahweh, for Your servant's sake, and according to Your own heart You have done all this greatness, to make known all these great things. ²⁰ O Yahweh, there is none like You, and there is no elohim save You, according to all that we have heard with our ears. ²¹ `And who [is] as Your people Israel, one nation in the earth whom Elohim has gone to ransom to Him for a people, to make for You a name great and fearful, to cast out from the presence of Your people whom You have ransomed out of Egypt--nations? <sup>22</sup> Yea, You do appoint Your people Israel to You for a people unto the eon, and You, O Yahweh, have been to them for Elohim. <sup>23</sup> `And now, O Yahweh, the word that You have spoken concerning Your servant, and concerning his house, let be stedfast unto the eon, and do as You have spoken;" ²⁴ and let it be stedfast, and Your name is great unto the eon, saying, Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel, is Elohim to Israel, and the house of Your servant David is established before You;" ²⁵ for You, O my Elohim, You have uncovered the ear of Your servant--to build to him a house, therefore has Your servant found to pray before You. ²⁶ `And now, Yahweh, You [are] Elohim Himself, and You speak concerning Your servant this goodness;" ²⁷ and now, You have been pleased to bless the house of Your servant, to be to the eon before You; for You, O Yahweh, have blessed, and it is blessed to the eon..

¹⁵ Yet you shall come to your forefathers in peace, and be entombed at a good grey-haired age.

⁷ And I set up My covenant between Me and you, and your seed after you, for their generations, for a covenant eonian, to become your Elohim and your seed's after you.

³³ And trembling is Isaac, a trembling, great unto excess. And saying is he, "Who, indeed, was he, the hunter of game who brought it to me, and I ate of all ere you came, and bless him did I? And, moreover, blessed shall he be!"

¹⁵ And behold! I am with you, and keep you in every way which you shall go, and will restore you to this ground, for not forsake you will I, till I should do all which I have spoken to you.

¹⁰ Smaller am I than all the kindnesses and than all the truth which You do to Your servant, for with my stick I crossed this Jordan, and now I have become two camps.

¹² And you said, `Good, yea, good will I do to you, and I make your seed as the sand of the sea, which is not being numbered for multitude..

¹⁵ And blessing them is he and saying, "The Elohim before Whom my forefathers, Abraham and Isaac, walked, the Elohim, my Shepherd from my youth till this day, ¹⁶ the Messenger, my Redeemer from all evil, bless these youths. And called on them shall be my name, and the name of my forefathers, Abraham and Isaac. And prolific shall they be, to make a vast increase within the land.

¹³ So the Egyptians made the sons of Israel serve with rigor, ¹⁴ and they embittered their lives with hard service in clay and in bricks, and with all service in the field, in addition to all their service which they served among them with rigor.

²¹ So it came to be because the midwives feared the One, Elohim, that He provided households for them.

²³ In the course of these many days it came to be that the king of Egypt died. Yet the sons of Israel sighed under the servitude and cried out, and their imploration ascended to the One, Elohim, out of the servitude.

¹ As for Moses, he had become a shepherd of the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. Once he was leading the flock behind the wilderness and came to the Mount of the One, Elohim, to Horeb. ² Then the messenger of Yahweh appeared to him in a blaze of fire from the midst of a thornbush. So he stared, and behold, the thornbush was consuming with fire, yet the thornbush, it was not being devoured. ³ Hence Moses said: Let me withdraw, I pray, and discern this great sight, for what reason the thornbush is not being consumed. ⁴ When Yahweh saw that he withdrew to discern, Elohim called to him from the midst of the thornbush and said: Moses! Moses! So he answered: Behold me!" ⁵ Then he said: Do not come near hither! Ease your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing, this is ground of holiness. ⁶ And He said: I am the Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac and the Elohim of Jacob. Now Moses concealed his face, for he feared to look toward the One, Elohim. ⁷ Then Yahweh said: I see, yea see the humiliation of My people who are in Egypt. And I hear their crying because of the presence of their exactors; for I know their pains.

¹¹ Who is like You among the elim, Yahweh? Who is like You, ennobled in holiness, fear-inspiring in praiseworthy deeds, working marvels?

¹¹ Now I know that Yahweh is greater than all the elohim, yea in the matter in which they were arrogant against them.

⁴ You have seen what I did to the Egyptians when I bore you on vultures' wings and brought you to Myself. ⁵ Now, if you shall hearken, yea hearken to My voice and observe My covenant then you will become Mine, a special possession, above all the peoples, for Mine is all the earth. ⁶ As for you, you shall become Mine, a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the sons of Israel.

¹⁴ And He said: My presence, shall it go that I may give rest to you? ¹⁵ So he said to him: If Your presence is not going, do not bring us up hence!"

⁶ Now Yahweh passed by before his face and called: Yahweh, Yahweh El, Who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and with much kindness and truth, ⁷ preserving kindness to thousands, bearing with depravity, transgression and sin, yet He is not immediately making innocent in order to make innocent, but visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons and on the sons' sons, on the third and on the fourth generation.

² On the first day of the month, in month one, you shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of appointment. ³ You will place there the coffer of the testimony and screen off the coffer with the curtain.

¹⁹ Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and placed the cover of the tent over it above, just as Yahweh had instructed Moses. ²⁰ He took and bestowed the testimony into the coffer, placed the poles on the coffer, put the propitiatory shelter on the coffer above, ²¹ brought the coffer into the tabernacle and placed the portiere curtain so that it screened off the coffer of the testimony just as Yahweh had instructed Moses.

³⁵ so that Moses was unable to enter into the tent of appointment, for the cloud tabernacled on it, and the glory of Yahweh filled the tabernacle. ³⁶ Whenever the cloud ascended above the tabernacle the sons of Israel journeyed in all their journeyings. ³⁷ Yet if the cloud was not taken up, then they would not journey until the day it was taken up;" ³⁸ for the cloud of Yahweh was over the tabernacle by day, and fire, it came to be in it by night for the eyes of all the house of Israel in all their journeyings.

¹¹ I will put My tabernacle in your midst, and My soul shall not loathe you. ¹² I will walk about in your midst and will be your Elohim and you, you shall be My people.

³³ They journeyed from the mount of Yahweh a way of three days while the coffer of the covenant of Yahweh was journeying before them a way of three days to explore a resting place for them. ³⁴ And the cloud of Yahweh was over them by day on their journey from the camp. ³⁵ It came to be whenever the coffer journeyed Moses said:Arise, Yahweh, that Your enemies may scatter and those hating You may flee from Your presence. ³⁶ And whenever it stopped he said:Dwell, Yahweh, with the myriads of Israel's thousands.

⁶ He said:Oh hear My words. If there were a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, in an appearance shall make Myself known to him; in a dream shall I speak to him.

²⁴ My Lord Yahweh, You Yourself have started to show Your servant Your greatness and Your steadfast hand, and Your outstretched arm. For what el is in the heavens or on the earth who could do according to Your deeds and according to Your mastery?

⁷ For what great nation is there which has elohim so near to it as Yahweh our Elohim is in all that we call to Him?

³² For ask now about the former days which came before you, from the day that Elohim created humanity on the earth, and from one end of the heavens unto the other end of the heavens:Has there occurred anything like this great thing, or has anything been heard like it? ³³ Has a people ever heard the voice of the living Elohim speaking from the midst of the fire just as you heard it, and lived? ³⁴ Or has an elohim ever tried to come and take for himself a nation from among another nation by trials, by signs and by miracles, by war, by a steadfast hand and by an outstretched arm and by great fear-inspiring deeds, such as all that Yahweh your Elohim did for you in Egypt before your eyes? ³⁵ You were shown this to know that Yahweh, He is the only Elohim. There is no one else aside from Him.

³⁹ so you know today, and you recall it to your heart that Yahweh, He is the only Elohim in the heavens above and on the earth beneath; there is no one else.

¹ When Yahweh your Elohim brings you into the land where you are about to enter in order to tenant it, and He eases many nations out before your face, the Hittite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite, seven nations more numerous and substantial than you, ² when Yahweh your Elohim gives them up before you, and you smite them, then you shall doom, yea doom them. You shall neither contract a covenant with them nor be gracious to them,

⁶ For you are a people holy to Yahweh your Elohim; Yahweh your Elohim has chosen you to become His, a special people from all the peoples who are on the surface of the ground. ⁷ It was not because your multitude was more than all the other peoples that Yahweh was attached to you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all the peoples. ⁸ But it was because of the love of Yahweh for you and because of His keeping the oath that He had sworn to your fathers that Yahweh brought you forth with a steadfast hand and ransomed you from the house of servants, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

¹⁵ Remember that you had become a servant in the country of Egypt, and Yahweh your Elohim ransomed you. Therefore I am instructing you to obey this word today.

¹⁴ For Yahweh your Elohim is walking about within your camp to rescue you and to deliver up your enemies before you; hence your camps will come to be holy so that He should not see among you the nakedness of anything and turn away from following you.

¹⁸ As for Yahweh, He affirms today that you are to be for Him a special people, just as He promised to you, and that you are to observe all His instructions;" ¹⁹ then He promises to give you supremacy over all the nations which He has made, for praise, for a name and for beauty, and for you to be a people holy to Yahweh your Elohim just as He has promised.

¹⁶ Yahweh said to Moses:Behold, you are about to lie with your fathers. Yet this people will rise and prostitute after the elohim of the foreigners of the land where they are entering to be among them; and they will forsake Me and annul My covenant that I contracted with them.

Your enemies shall dissimulate submission to you, yet you, you shall tread on their fane heights.

¹⁴ And the men take of their provision, and the mouth of Yahweh have not asked;"

⁴² and all these kings and their land has Joshua captured [at] one time, for Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, is fighting for Israel.

⁴³ And Yahweh gives to Israel the whole of the land which He has sworn to give to their fathers, and they possess it, and dwell in it;" ⁴⁴ and Yahweh gives rest to them round about, according to all that which He has sworn to their fathers, and there has not stood a man in their presence of all their enemies, the whole of their enemies has Yahweh given into their hand;" ⁴⁵ there has not fallen a thing of all the good thing which Yahweh spoke unto the house of Israel--the whole has come.

¹¹ `And you pass over the Jordan, and come in unto Jericho, and fight against you do the possessors of Jericho--the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Girgashite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite--and I give them into your hand. ¹² And I send before you the hornet, and it casts them out from your presence--two kings of the Amorite--not by your sword, nor by your bow.

¹⁴ And the anger of Yahweh burns against Israel, and He gives them into the hand of spoilers, and they spoil them, and He sells them into the hand of their enemies round about, and they have not been able any more to stand before their enemies;" ¹⁵ in every [place] where they have gone out, the hand of Yahweh has been against them for evil, as Yahweh has spoken, and as Yahweh has sworn to them, and they are distressed--greatly. ¹⁶ And Yahweh raises up judges, and they save them from the hand of their spoilers;" ¹⁷ and also unto their judges they have not hearkened, but have gone a-whoring after other elohims, and bow themselves to them; they have turned aside [with] haste out of the way [in] which their fathers walked to obey the commands of Yahweh--they have not done so. ¹⁸ And when Yahweh raised up to them judges--then was Yahweh with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it repents Yahweh, because of their groaning from the presence of their oppressors, and of those thrusting them away.

³ and the sons of Israel cry unto Yahweh, for he has nine hundred chariots of iron, and he has oppressed the sons of Israel mightily twenty years.

³ And it has been, if Israel has sowed, that Midian has come up, and Amalek, and the sons of the east, yea, they have come up against him, ⁴ and encamp against them, and destroy the increase of the land till your entering Gaza; and they leave no sustenance in Israel, either sheep, or ox, or ass;" ⁵ for they and their cattle come up, with their tents; they come in as the fulness of the locust for multitude, and of them and of their cattle there is no number, and they come into the land to destroy it. ⁶ And Israel is very weak from the presence of Midian, and the sons of Israel cry unto Yahweh.

¹⁵ And he said unto him, `O, my lord, wherewith do I save Israel? lo, my chief [is] weak in Manasseh, and I the least in the house of my father..

² There is none holy like Yahweh, For there is none save You, And there is no rock like our Elohim.

³⁰ `Therefore--the affirmation of Yahweh, Elohim of Israel--I certainly said, Your house and the house of your father, do walk up and down before Me to the eon; and now--the affirmation of Yahweh--Far be it from Me! for he who is honoring Me, I honor, and those despising Me, are lightly esteemed.

¹² And Samuel takes a stone, and sets [it] between Mizpeh and Shen, and calls its name Eben-Ezer, saying, `Hitherto has Yahweh helped us..

⁷ and it has been, when these signs come to you--do for yourself as your hand finds, for Elohim [is] with you.

¹¹ `And Yahweh sends Jerubbaal, and Bedan, and Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivers you out of the hand of your enemies round about, and you dwell confidently.

²² for Yahweh does not leave His people, on account of His great name; for Yahweh has been pleased to make you to Him for a people.

⁵ And the Philistines have been gathered to fight with Israel; thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and a people as the sand which [is] on the sea-shore for multitude; and they come up and encamp in Michmash, east of Beth-Aven. ⁶ And the men of Israel have seen that they are distressed, that the people has been oppressed, and the people hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits.

⁷ And Yahweh said unto Samuel, `Look not unto his appearance, and unto the height of his stature, for I have rejected him; for [it is] not as man sees--for man looks at the eyes, and Yahweh looks at the heart..

¹¹ And Samuel said unto Jesse, `Are the youngest men finished?' and he said, `Yet has been left the young; and lo, he delights himself among the flock;' and Samuel said unto Jesse, `Send and take him, for we do not turn round till his coming in hither.. <sup>12</sup> And he sends, and brings him in, and he [is] ruddy, with beauty of eyes, and of good appearance; and Yahweh said, `Rise, anoint him, for this [is] he..

¹⁵ and David is going and returning from Saul, to feed the flock of his father at Beth-Lehem.

¹⁴ And David is in all his ways acting wisely, and Yahweh [is] with him,

²⁸ And Saul sees and knows that Yahweh [is] with David, and Michal daughter of Saul has loved him,

¹⁰ And David said, `Yahweh lives; except Yahweh does smite him, or his day come that he has died, or into battle he go down, and has been consumed-.

¹ And the Philistines are fighting against Israel, and the men of Israel flee from the face of the Philistines, and fall wounded in mount Gilboa, ² and the Philistines follow Saul and his sons, and the Philistines smite Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, sons of Saul. ³ And the battle is hard against Saul, and the archers find him--men with bow--and he is pained greatly by the archers;" ⁴ and Saul said to the bearer of his weapons, `Draw your sword, and pierce me with it, lest they come--these uncircumcised--and have pierced me, and rolled themselves on me;' and the bearer of his weapons has not been willing, for he is greatly afraid, and Saul takes the sword, and falls upon it. ⁵ And the bearer of his weapons sees that Saul [is] dead, and he falls--he also--on his sword, and dies with him;" ⁶ and Saul dies, and three of his sons, and the bearer of his weapons, also all his men, on that day together.

¹⁷ And they bring in the ark of Yahweh, and set it up in its place, in the midst of the tent which David has spread out for it, and David causes to ascend burnt-offerings before Yahweh, and peace-offerings.

²¹ And David said unto Michal, `--Before Yahweh, who fixed on me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me leader over the people of Yahweh, and over Israel, --yea, I played before Yahweh;"

¹¹ To You, O Yahweh, [is] the greatness, and the might, and the beauty, and the victory, and the honor, because of all in the heavens and in the earth; to You, O Yahweh, [is] the kingdom, and he who is lifting up himself over all for head;" ¹² and the riches, and the honor [are] from before You, and You are ruling over all, and in Your hand [is] power and might, and in Your hand, to make great, and to give strength to all.

¹⁵ for sojourners we [are] before You, and settlers, like all our fathers; as a shadow [are] our days on the land, and there is none abiding.

²⁸ and he dies in a good old age, satisfied with days, riches, and honor, and reign does Solomon his son in his stead. ²⁹ And the matters of David the king, the first and the last, lo, they are written beside the matters of Samuel the seer, and beside the matters of Nathan the prophet, and beside the matters of Gad the seer,

³³ then You do hear from the heavens, from the settled place of Your dwelling, and have done according to all that the stranger calls unto You for:so that all the peoples of the earth do know Your name, so as to fear You, as Your people Israel, and to know that Your name is called on this house that I have built.

²⁰ There were mighty kings over Jerusalem with authority over the whole province Beyond-the-Stream; and tribute, tax and toll were granted to them.

¹⁸ Then to whom will you liken El? And what likeness will you arrange for Him?

²⁵ Then to whom will you liken Me, and whose equal will I be?saying is the Holy One."

¹ Behold My Servant! I am upholding Him. My Chosen! Accepted by My soul! I bestow My spirit upon Him, and He shall bring forth judgment to the nations."

¹⁰ You are My witnesses,averring is Yahweh Elohim, "And My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and will believe Me, and understand that I am He:Before Me was formed no El. And after Me none shall come."

⁶ Thus says Yahweh, King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Yahweh of hosts is His name. "I am the First and I am the Last, and apart from Me there is no Elohim."

⁵ I am Yahweh Elohim, and there is none else. There is no Elohim except Me. I am belting you, yet you do not know Me."

²² Face to Me and be saved, all the limits of the earth, for I am El, and there is none else."

⁹ On account of My name am I long-suffering in My anger, and for My praise am I repressing for you, to avoid cutting you off."

³ And He is saying to me, "My servant are you, Israel, in whom I am beautifying Myself."

⁵ And now, thus says Yahweh, Who formed me from the belly, for His servant, to restore Jacob to Him, when Israel is being gathered to Him. Yet I shall be glorified in the eyes of Yahweh, and my Elohim becomes my help." ⁶ And he is saying to me, "A slight thing is it for you to become My servant, to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and the dispersed of Israel to restore. Behold! I give you also for a light of the nations, to become My salvation unto the ends of the earth."

¹⁷ Your sons hasten more than your demolishers, and those who made you a desert, are faring forth from you."

³ Stretch out your ear and go to Me; hear Me, and your soul shall live in good. And I will contract with you a covenant eonian, the kindnesses of David that are faithful."

⁸ For not as My devices are your devices, and not as your ways are My ways,averring is Yahweh." ⁹ For as the heavens are loftier than the earth, so are My ways loftier than your ways, and my devices than your devices."

¹⁸ And no further shall violence be heard in your land, devastation and breaking within your boundaries. And you call your walls "Salvation,and your gates "Praise."

³ to give rejoicing to the mourners of Zion, to give to them beauty instead of ashes, the oil of elation instead of mourning, the muffler of praise instead of dimness of spirit. And they are called arbiters of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, to beautify Himself."

⁹ in all their distress He is not a foe, not an agent or a messenger, but His presence saved them. In His love, and by His sparing, He, He redeems them, and He will transport and assist them all the days of the eon."

¹² conducting them by the right hand of Moses, His glorious arm rending the water before them, to make for Himself a name eonian,

³ When You do fearful things which we are not expecting, You do descend! Quivering because of Your presence, the mountains flow."

¹ Thus says Yahweh, "The heavens are My throne, and the earth is My footstool. Where is this house which you are building for Me? And where is this place of My rest? ² Yet all these were made by My hand, and all these are coming to be Mine,averring is Yahweh. "Yet to this one will I look:to the humble and smitten spirit, and he who trembles at My word."

⁶ Because there is none like You, O Yahweh, Great [are] You, and great Your name in might." ⁷ Who does not fear You, king of the nations? For to You it is becoming, For among all the wise of the nations, And in all their kingdom there is none like You."

⁵ In order to establish the oath that I have sworn to your fathers, To give to them a land flowing with milk and honey, as this day. And I answer and say, `Amen, O Yahweh.'"

¹⁵ Do you reign, because you are fretting yourself in cedar? Your father--did he not eat and drink? Yea, he did judgment and righteousness, Then [it is] well with him."

⁴ And I have raised for them shepherds, And they have fed them, And they fear no more, nor are affrighted, Nor are they lacking--an affirmation of Yahweh." ⁵ Lo, days are coming--an affirmation of Yahweh, And I have raised to David a righteous shoot, And a king has reigned and acted wisely, And done judgment and righteousness in the earth." ⁶ In his days is Judah saved, and Israel dwells confidently, And this his name that Yahweh proclaims him, `Our Righteousness.'"

²⁸ The prophet with whom [is] a dream, Let him recount the dream, And he with whom [is] My word, Let him truly speak My word. What--to the straw with the corn? An affirmation of Yahweh."

⁶ And I have set Mine eyes on them for good, And have brought them back to this land, And built them up, and I throw not down, And have planted them, and pluck not up."

¹ At that time, an affirmation of Yahweh, I am for Elohim to all families of Israel, And they--they are to Me for a people."

³ From afar Yahweh has appeared to me, With love eonian I have loved you, Therefore I have drawn you [with] kindness." ⁴ Again do I build you, And you have been built, O virgin of Israel, Again you put on your tabrets, And have gone out in the chorus of the playful." ⁵ Again you do plant vineyards In mountains of Samaria, Planters have planted, and made common." ⁶ For there is a day, Cried have watchmen on mount Ephraim, `Rise, and we go up to Zion, unto Yahweh our Elohim;" ⁷ For thus said Yahweh:Sing, O you to Jacob, [with] joy, And cry aloud at the head of the nations, Sound you, praise you, and say, Save, O Yahweh, your people, the remnant of Israel." ⁸ Lo, I am bringing them in from the north country, And have gathered them from the sides of the earth, Among them [are] blind and lame, Conceiving and travailing one--together, A great assembly--they turn back hither." ⁹ With weeping they come in, And with supplications I bring them, I cause them to go unto streams of waters, In a right way--they stumble not in it, For I have been to Israel for a father, And Ephraim--My first-born [is] he." ¹⁰ Hear a word of Yahweh, O nations, And declare you among isles afar off, and say:He who is scattering Israel does gather him, And has kept him as a shepherd [does] his flock, ¹¹ For Yahweh has ransomed Jacob, And redeemed him from a hand stronger than he." ¹² And they have come in, And have sung in the high place of Zion, And flowed unto the goodness of Yahweh, For wheat, and for new wine, and for oil, And for the young of the flock and herd, And their soul has been as a watered garden, And they add not to grieve any more."

³¹ Lo, days are coming, an affirmation of Yahweh, And I have made with the house of Israel And with the house of Judah a new covenant, ³² Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers, In the day of My laying hold on their hand, To bring them out of the land of Egypt, In that they made void My covenant, And I ruled over them--an affirmation of Yahweh." ³³ For this [is] the covenant that I make, With the house of Israel, after those days, An affirmation of Yahweh, I have given My law in their inward part, And on their heart I do write it, And I have been to them for Elohim, And they are to me for a people." ³⁴ And they do not teach any more Each his neighbor, and each his brother, Saying, Know you Yahweh, For they all know Me, from their least unto their greatest, An affirmation of Yahweh; For I pardon their iniquity, And of their sin I make mention no more."

⁴¹ and I have rejoiced over them to do them good, and have planted them in this land in truth, with all my heart, and with all My soul."

⁹ And I do [it] for My name's sake, Not to pollute [it] before the eyes of the nations, In whose midst they [are], Before whose eyes I became known to them, To bring them out from the land of Egypt." ¹⁰ And I bring them out of the land of Egypt, And I bring them in unto the wilderness,

⁴ By your wisdom and by your understanding You have made for you wealth, And make gold and silver in your treasuries."

² `Son of man, prophesy concerning shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and you have said unto them:To the shepherds, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe [to] the shepherds of Israel, Who have been feeding themselves! The flock do not the shepherds feed?

¹³ And brought them out from the peoples, And have gathered them from the lands, And brought them unto their own ground, And have fed them on mountains of Israel, By streams, and by all dwellings of the land."

¹⁴ Therefore, man you devour no more, And your nations you cause not to stumble any more, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh." ¹⁵ And I proclaim not unto you any more the shame of the nations, And the reproach of peoples you bear no more, And your nations stumble not any more, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh.'"

³⁷ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Yet this I am required, By the house of Israel to do to them, I multiply them as a flock of men,

²⁵ And they have dwelt on the land that I gave to My servant, to Jacob, In which your fathers have dwelt, And they have dwelt on it, they and their sons, And their son's sons--unto the eon, And David My servant [is] their prince--to the eon."

⁴⁴ In their days, that is, of these kings, the Eloah of the heavens will set up a kingdom that for the eons shall not come to harm. His kingdom shall not be left to another people. It will pulverize and terminate all these kingdoms, and it shall be confirmed for the eons."

⁴ I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at ease in my house, and flourishing in my palace."

²⁹ when, at the end of twelve months, he is going about on the royal palace of Babylon." ³⁰ Responding is the king to all this by saying, "Is not this Babylon great that I have built to be the house of the kingdom within the might of my safeguarding walls, for the esteem of my honor!"

¹⁷ And now hearken, Lord our Elohim, to the prayer of Thy servant and to his supplications. Light up Thy face over Thy desolated sanctuary on Thy account, my Lord:"

⁷ For my Lord Yahweh is not doing a thing save He reveals His deliberation to His servants, the prophets."

¹⁴ Yet Amos is answering and saying to Amaziah, I am not a prophet, nor am I a son of a prophet. For I am a herder and a puncturer of sycamore figs." ¹⁵ And Yahweh is taking me from behind the flock, and Yahweh is saying to me, Go, prophesy to My people Israel."

¹⁵ And I will plant them on their ground, and not again shall they be plucked up off their ground which I give to them. Says Yahweh, your Elohim, Him Who-Suffices."

⁴ And He stands and shepherds His flock in the strength of Yahweh, in the pomp of the name of Yahweh, His Elohim. And they shall dwell, for now shall He be great unto the limits of the land."

⁴ Is it the season for you yourselves to dwell in your ceiled houses while this house is deserted?

⁹ You face about for increase, and behold it is little! Yet you bring it home, and I blow on it. Because of what? (averring is Yahweh of hosts). Because of My house! It is deserted, yet you are running, each to his own house!"

¹² And you speak to him, saying, Thus speaks Yahweh of hosts, saying:Behold the man! Sprout is his name. And from under him shall it sprout. And he shall build the temple of Yahweh, ¹³ even he shall build the temple of Yahweh, and he shall bear the splendor. And he shall sit and rule on his throne, and there comes to be a priest at his throne, and the counsel of welfare shall come to be between the two of them."

²³ Thus says Yahweh of hosts:In those days ten mortals, from all the languages of the nations, will take fast hold. And they will take fast hold of the hem of a man, a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we hear that Elohim is with you."

⁹ And I will bring the third into the fire. And I will refine them as silver is refined. And I will test them as gold is tested. It shall call in My name, and I will answer it. I will say, My people is it. And it will say, Yahweh is my Elohim."

⁶ 'And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah,
Are you in any respect least among the mentors of Judah?
For out of you shall come forth the Ruler
Who shall shepherd My people Israel.'"

¹⁸ Now, walking beside the sea of Galilee, He perceived two brothers, Simon, termed Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a purse net into the sea, for they were fishers. ¹⁹ And He is saying to them, "Hither! After Me, and I will be making you fishers of men!" ²⁰ Now immediately leaving the nets, they follow Him. ²¹ And, advancing thence, He perceived two others, brothers, James of Zebedee and John, his brother, in the ship with Zebedee, their father, adjusting their nets. And He calls them. ²² Now, immediately leaving the ship and their father, they follow Him.

⁹ Thus, then, you be praying: 'Our Father Who art in the heavens, hallowed be Thy name."

¹³ And mayest Thou not be bringing us into trial, but rescue us from the wicked one.'"

²⁶ Yea, Father, seeing that thus it became a delight in front of Thee."

²⁸ And, entering to her, the messenger said, "Rejoice, favored one! The Lord is with you, you blessed among women!"

³² He shall be great, and Son of the Most High shall He be called. And the Lord God shall be giving Him the throne of David,

³⁸ Now Miriam said, "Lo! the slave of the Lord! May it come to be with me according to your declaration! And the messenger came away from her."

⁵² He pulls down potentates from thrones, And exalts the humble."

¹⁰ Now likewise are James also and John, sons of Zebedee, who were Simon's mates. And Jesus said to Simon, "Fear not! From now on men you shall be catching alive!"

³⁵ And a voice came out of the cloud saying, "This is My Son, The Chosen; Him be hearing."

¹⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, "Raze this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." ²⁰ The Jews, then, said, "In forty and six years was this temple built, and you will be raising it up in three days!" ²¹ Yet He said it concerning the temple of His body.

³⁵ The Father is loving the Son and has given all into His hand."

²⁸ But therefore came I into this hour. Father, glorify Thy name!A voice, then, came out of heaven, "I glorify it also, and shall be glorifying it again!"

¹ These things speaks Jesus, and lifting His eyes to heaven, He said, "Father, come has the hour. Glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son should be glorifying Thee,

¹⁷ He is saying to him the third time, "Simon of John, are you fond of Me?Peter was sorry that He said to him the third time "Are you fond of Me?and he is saying to Him, "Lord, Thou art aware of all things! Thou knowest that I am fond of Thee.And Jesus is saying to him, "Graze My little sheep!"

²⁹ Men! Brethren! Allow me to say to you with boldness concerning the patriarch David, that he deceases also and was entombed, and his tomb is among us until this day."

⁴⁴ The tabernacle of the testimony was with our fathers in the wilderness, according as He prescribes, Who speaks to Moses, to make it according to the model which he had seen, ⁴⁵ which also our fathers who succeed him, with Joshua, led into the tenure of the nations, whom God thrusts out from the face of our fathers, till the days of David, ⁴⁶ who found favor before God. And he requests that he may find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.

²⁰ (about four hundred and fifty years). And after this He gives judges till Samuel the prophet.

³⁶ For David, indeed, subserving his own generation by God's counsel, was put to repose, and was added to his fathers, and was acquainted with decay;"

²⁷ for under no circumstances do I shrink from informing you of the entire counsel of God.

²² Happening, then, on assistance from God, until this day I stand attesting both to small and to great, saying nothing outside of what both the prophets and Moses speak of impending occurrences - if it be the suffering Christ -"

³ concerning His Son (Who comes of the seed of David according to the flesh, ⁴ Who is designated Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead),

⁴ who are Israelites, whose is the sonship and the glory and the covenants and the legislation and the divine service and the promises;" ⁵ whose are the fathers, and out of whom is the Christ according to the flesh, Who is over all, God be blessed for the eons. Amen!" ⁶ Now it is not such as that the word of God has lapsed, for not all those out of Israel, these are Israel;"

²⁵ As He is saying in Hosea also: I shall be calling those who are not My people "My people,And she who is not beloved "Beloved, ²⁶ And it shall be, in the place where it was declared to them, 'Not My people are you,'There "they shall be called 'sons of the living God.'"

¹ I am saying, then, Does not God thrust away His people? May it not be coming to that! For I also am an Israelite, out of Abraham's seed, Benjamin's tribe." ² God does not thrust away His people whom He foreknew. Or have you not perceived in Elijah what the scripture is saying, as he is pleading with God against Israel? ³ Lord, Thy prophets they kill, Thine altars they dig down, and I was left alone, and they are seeking my soul." ⁴ But what is that which apprises saying to him? I left for Myself seven thousand men who do not bow the knee to the image of Baal. ⁵ Thus, then, in the current era also, there has come to be a remnant according to the choice of grace." ⁶ Now if it is in grace, it is no longer out of works, else the grace is coming to be no longer grace. Now, if it is out of works, it is no longer grace, else the work is no longer work." ⁷ What then? What Israel is seeking for, this she did not encounter, yet the chosen encountered it. Now the rest were calloused, ⁸ even as it is written, God gives them a spirit of stupor, eyes not to be observing, and ears not to be hearing, till this very day." ⁹ And David is saying, Let their table become a trap and a mesh, And a snare and a repayment to them:" ¹⁰ Darkened be their eyes, not to be observing, And their backs bow together continually." ¹¹ I am saying, then, Do they not trip that they should be falling? May it not be coming to that! But in their offense is salvation to the nations, to provoke them to jealousy." ¹² Now if their offense is the world's riches and their discomfiture the nations' riches, how much rather that which fills them!"

²⁹ For unregretted are the graces and the calling of God.

³³ O, the depth of the riches and the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How inscrutable are His judgments, and untraceable His ways!" ³⁴ For, who knew the mind of the Lord? or, who became His adviser?

⁹ For out of an instalment are we knowing, and out of an instalment are we prophesying."

²⁵ For He must be reigning until He should be placing all His enemies under His feet.

¹⁰ Who rescues us from a death of such proportions, and will be rescuing; on Whom we rely that He will still be rescuing also;"

¹⁶ Now what concurrence has a temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, according as God said, that I will be making My home and will be walking in them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

¹⁸ and I will be a Father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty."

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who blesses us with every spiritual blessing among the celestials, in Christ,

⁹ making known to us the secret of His will (in accord with His delight, which He purposed in Him)" ¹⁰ to have an administration of the complement of the eras, to head up all in the Christ - both that in the heavens and that on the earth" ¹¹ in Him in Whom our lot was cast also, being designated beforehand according to the purpose of the One Who is operating all in accord with the counsel of His will,

² in which once you walked, in accord with the eon of this world, in accord with the chief of the jurisdiction of the air, the spirit now operating in the sons of stubbornness " ³ (among whom we also all behaved ourselves once in the lusts of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and of the comprehension, and were, in our nature, children of indignation, even as the rest),

⁸ To me, less than the least of all saints, was granted this grace: to bring the evangel of the untraceable riches of Christ to the nations,

¹¹ in accord with the purpose of the eons, which He makes in Christ Jesus, our Lord;"

²⁰ Now to Him Who is able to do superexcessively above all that we are requesting or apprehending, according to the power that is operating in us,

⁶ Let no one be seducing you with empty words, for because of these things the indignation of God is coming on the sons of stubbornness."

⁸ and, being found in fashion as a human, He humbles Himself, becoming obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." ⁹ Wherefore, also, God highly exalts Him, and graces Him with the name that is above every name, ¹⁰ that in the name of Jesus every knee should be bowing, celestial and terrestrial and subterranean, ¹¹ and every tongue should be acclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord, for the glory of God, the Father."

⁹ for in Him the entire complement of the Deity is dwelling bodily.

² in expectation of life eonian, which God, Who does not lie, promises before times eonian,

¹⁴ Who gives Himself for us, that He should be redeeming us from all lawlessness and be cleansing for Himself a people to be about Him, zealous for ideal acts."

⁵ For to whom of the messengers said He at any time, "My Son art Thou! I, today, have begotten Thee"? And again, "I shall be to Him for a Father And He shall be to Me for a Son"?

⁶ Yet Christ, as a Son over His house-Whose house we are, that is, if we should be retaining the boldness and the glorying of the expectation confirmed unto the consummation."

¹⁸ that by two immutable matters, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong consolation, who are fleeing for refuge to lay hold of the expectation lying before us,

¹⁰ For this is the covenant which I shall be covenanting with the house of Israel after those days,the Lord is saying: "Imparting My laws to their comprehension, On their hearts, also, shall I be inscribing them, And I shall be to them for a God, And they shall be to Me for a people."

¹⁶ Yet now they are craving a better, that is, a celestial; wherefore God is not ashamed of them, to be invoked as their God, for He makes ready for them a city."

⁹ Yet you are a chosen race, a "royal priesthood,a "holy nation,a procured people, so that you should be recounting the virtues of Him Who calls you out of darkness into His marvelous light,

¹¹ if anyone is speaking, as the oracles of God; if anyone is dispensing, as out of the strength which God is furnishing; that in all God may be glorified, through Jesus Christ, to Whom is the glory and the might for the eons of the eons. Amen!"

¹⁴ And this is the boldness which we have toward Him, that if we should be requesting anything according to his will, He is hearing us." ¹⁵ And if ever we are aware that He is hearing us, whatever we may be requesting, we are aware that we have the requests which we have requested from Him."

¹ To the messenger of the ecclesia in Ephesus write: `Now this He is saying Who is holding the seven stars in His right hand, Who is walking in the midst of the seven golden lampstands:"

²³ And her children shall I be killing with death, and all the ecclesias shall know that I an He Who is searching the kidneys and hearts. And I will be giving to each of you in accord with your acts."

¹⁵ And the seventh messenger trumpets. And loud voices occurred in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of this world became our Lord's and His Christ's, and He shall be reigning for the eons of the eons! Amen!"

³ And I hear a loud voice out of the throne saying, "Lo! the tabernacle of God is with mankind, and He will be tabernacling with them, and they will be His peoples, and God Himself will be with them." ⁴ And He will be brushing away every tear from their eyes. And death will be no more, nor mourning, nor clamor, nor misery; they will be no more, for the former things passed away."
