Genesis 12:14-17

14 And it came to pass when Abram entered into Egypt — the Egyptians having seen his wife that she was very beautiful — 15 that the princes of Pharaoh saw her, and praised her to Pharaoh, and brought her into Pharaoh's house. 16 And they treated Abram well on her account, and he had sheep, calves, donkeys, male and female servants, mules, and camels. 17 And God afflicted Pharaoh and his house with great and severe afflictions, because of Sarai, Abram's wife.

Genesis 20:1-7

1 And Abraham journeyed from there to the southern country, and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar. 2 And Abraham said concerning Sarah his wife, She is my sister, for he feared to say, She is my wife, lest at any time the men of the city should kill him for her sake. So Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah. 3 And God came to Abimelech by night in his sleep, and said, Behold, you'll die for the woman whom you have taken, for she has lived with a husband. 4 But Abimelech had not touched her, and he said, Lord, will You destroy an ignorantly sinning and just nation? 5 Did he not say to me, She is my sister, and she, even she herself said, He is my brother? With a pure heart and in the righteousness of my hands have I done this. 6 And God said to him in his sleep, Yes, I knew that you did this with a pure heart, and I spared you, so that you should not sin against Me, therefore I did not let you touch her. 7 But now return the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for you, and you shall live; but if you restore her not, know that you and all yours shall die.

Genesis 26:14-33

14 And he had herds of sheep, and herds of oxen, and many tilled lands, and the Philistines envied him. 15 And all the wells which the servants of his father had dug in the time of his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth. 16 And Abimelech said to Isaac, Depart from us, for you have become much greater than us. 17 And Isaac departed from there, and rested in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there. 18 And Isaac dug again the wells of water, which the servants of his father Abraham had dug, and the Philistines had stopped them up, after the death of his father Abraham; and he gave them names, according to the names by which his father named them. 19 And the servants of Isaac dug in the valley of Gerar, and they found there a well of living water. 20 And the shepherds of Gerar quarreled with the shepherds of Isaac, saying that the water was theirs; and they called the name of the well, Injury, for they injured him. 21 And having departed from there he dug another well, and they fought also for that; and he named the name of it, Enmity. 22 And he departed from there and dug another well; and they did not quarrel about that one; and he named the name of it, Room, saying, Because now the Lord has made room for us, and has increased us upon the earth. 23 And he went up from there to the Well of the Oath. 24 And the Lord appeared to him in that night and said, I am the God of Abraham your father; fear not, for I am with you, and I will bless you, and multiply your seed for the sake of Abraham your father. 25 And he built an altar there, and called on the name of the Lord, and there he pitched his tent, and there the servants of Isaac dug a well in the valley of Gerar. 26 And Abimelech came to him from Gerar, and so did Ahuzzath his friend, and Phichol the commander of his army. 27 And Isaac said to them, Why have you come to me? Seeing that you hated me, and sent me away from you. 28 And they said, We have surely seen that the Lord was with you, and we said, Let there be an oath between us and you, and we will make a covenant with you, 29 that you shall do us no harm, as we have not abhorred you, and since we have treated you well, and have sent you forth peaceably; and now you are blessed of the Lord. 30 And he made a feast for them, and they ate and drank. 31 And they arose in the morning, and swore each to his neighbor; and Isaac sent them forth, and they departed from him in safety. 32 And it came to pass in that day, that the servants of Isaac came and told him of the well which they had dug; and they said, We have not found water. 33 And he called it, Oath: therefore he called the name of that city, the Well of Oath, until this day.

Genesis 31:24-29

24 And God came to Laban the Syrian in sleep by night, and said to him, Take heed to yourself that you do not speak evil things to Jacob at any time. 25 And Laban overtook Jacob; and Jacob pitched his tent in the mountain; and Laban stationed his brothers in the mountains of Gilead. 26 And Laban said to Jacob, What have you done? Why did you run away secretly, and pillage me, and lead away my daughters as captives taken with the sword? 27 If you had told me, I would have sent you away with joy, and with songs, with timbrel and harp. 28 And I was not counted worthy to embrace my children and my daughters. Now then you have done foolishly. 29 And now my hand has the power to hurt you; but the God of your father spoke to me yesterday, saying, Take heed to yourself that you speak no evil words to Jacob.

Genesis 35:5

5 So Israel departed from Shechem, and the fear of God was upon the cities round about them, and they did not pursue after the children of Israel.

Exodus 7:16-17

16 And you shall say to him, The Lord God of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, Let My people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness; but indeed, until now you have not heard! 17 Thus says the Lord: By this you shall know that I am the Lord: behold, I strike the water which is in the river with the rod that is in my hand, and it shall change it into blood.
