John 7:1 Cross References - CAB

¹ And after these things Jesus was walking in Galilee; for He did not wish to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill Him.

²³ But whenever they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly I say to you, by no means will you have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

³⁸ "But when the farmers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and let us gain possession of his inheritance.'

³¹ On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, "Get out and go from here, for Herod wants to kill You." ³² And He said to them, "Go and say to that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.' ³³ Nevertheless I must journey today, tomorrow, and the day following; for it is not possible for a prophet to perish outside of Jerusalem.

¹⁹ And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem so that they might ask him, "Who are you?"

³ He left Judea and went away into Galilee.

⁵⁴ This again is the second sign Jesus did, after He had come out of Judea into Galilee.

¹⁶ And on account of this the Jews began to persecute Jesus, and were seeking to kill Him, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath. ¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I am working." ¹⁸ Because of this the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but also He called God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.

¹⁹ Has not Moses given you the law, yet none of you keeps the law? Why are you seeking to kill Me?"

²⁵ Therefore some of people of Jerusalem were saying, "Is this not He whom they are seeking to kill?

³⁷ "I know that you are Abraham's descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word finds no place in you.

⁴⁰ But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has spoken to you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.

³⁹ Therefore they were seeking again to seize Him, but He escaped from their hand. ⁴⁰ And He went away again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was first baptizing, and He stayed there.

⁵³ Therefore from that day on they took counsel together, that they might kill Him. ⁵⁴ Therefore Jesus no longer walked openly among the Jews, but He went away from there into the country near the desert, to a city called Ephraim, and there He stayed with His disciples.

³⁸ Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all those who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.
