¹² Not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered once for all into the Holies, having obtained eternal redemption.

² Take Aaron and his sons, and his robes and the anointing oil, and the calf for the sin-offering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread,

¹⁵ And he brought the gift of the people, and took the goat of the sin-offering of the people, and slew it, and purified it as also the first.

⁵ And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin-offering, and one lamb for a whole burnt offering. ⁶ And Aaron shall bring the calf for his own sin-offering, and shall make atonement for himself and for his house. ⁷ And he shall take the two goats, and place them before the Lord by the door of the tabernacle of witness. ⁸ And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats, one lot for the Lord, and the other for the scapegoat. ⁹ And Aaron shall bring forward the goat on which the lot for the Lord fell, and shall offer him for a sin-offering. ¹⁰ And the goat upon which the lot of the scapegoat came, he shall present alive before the Lord, to make atonement upon him, so as to send him away as a scapegoat, and he shall send him into the wilderness.

²⁴ Seventy weeks have been determined upon your people, and upon the holy city, for sin to be ended, to seal up transgressions, to blot out iniquities, to make atonement for iniquities, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.

²⁹ but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is under sentence of eternal condemnation"--

²⁸ Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit placed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of the Lord, and of God, which He purchased with His own blood.

¹³ Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree," ¹⁴ so that the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

⁷ In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

¹⁴ in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

¹⁰ and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the coming wrath.

¹⁴ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people as His own possession, zealous for good works.

³ who being the effulgence of His glory and the exact expression of His substance, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

⁹ And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

²⁷ who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices beforehand, in behalf of His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.

⁷ but into the second part the high priest goes alone once during the year, not without blood, which he offers for himself and for the people's sins committed in ignorance;

¹³ For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling those having been defiled, sanctifies for the purity of the flesh,

¹⁵ And on account of this He is the Mediator of the new covenant, so that, since a death has occurred for redemption of the transgressions at the time of the first covenant, that those having been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

²⁴ For Christ did not enter into the holies made by hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf; ²⁵ not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters into the Holies every year with another's blood-- ²⁶ since it would have been necessary for Him to suffer often from the foundation of the world; but now, once at the consummation of the ages, He has been revealed for the removal of sin through the sacrifice of Himself.

²⁸ so also Christ having been offered once in order to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time apart from sin for salvation, to those eagerly waiting for Him.

⁴ For it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

⁹ then He has said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first in order that He may establish the second. ¹⁰ By which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. ¹¹ And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which are never able to take away sins. ¹² But He Himself, having offered one sacrifice for sins forever, He sat down at the right hand of God, ¹³ from that time waiting till His enemies are placed as a footstool for His feet. ¹⁴ For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

¹⁹ Therefore, brothers, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,

¹⁸ knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your futile way of life handed down from your forefathers, ¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb blameless and spotless,

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and who washed us from our sins in His own blood,

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; because You were slain, and You redeemed us to God by Your blood, out of every tribe and language and people and nation;
