James Cross References - CAB

1 James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. 2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 But let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing, for he that doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he shall receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. 9 Let the lowly brother rejoice in his exaltation, 10 but the rich man in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. 11 For the sun arose with burning heat and withered the grass, and its flower fell off, and its beautiful appearance perished. So the rich man also shall fade away in his pursuits. 12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; because when he is approved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted by his own lusts, being drawn away and being seduced by them. 15 Then lust, when it conceives, gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Exercising His will He begat us by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures. 19 So then, my beloved brothers, let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore laying aside all filthiness and abundance of evil, in meekness receive the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observed himself and has gone away, and immediately forgot what sort of man he was. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one shall be blessed in what he does. 26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceiving his heart, the religion of this man is useless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

12 But where has wisdom been discovered? And where is the place of understanding? 13 A mortal has not known its way, neither indeed has it been discovered among men. 14 The depth said, It is not in me, and the sea said, It is not with me. 15 One shall not give fine gold instead of it, neither shall silver be weighed in exchange for it. 16 Neither shall it be compared with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx and sapphire. 17 Gold and crystal shall not be equaled to it, neither shall vessels of gold be its exchange. 18 Coral and fine pearl shall not be mentioned, but do you esteem wisdom above the most precious things. 19 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not be equaled to it; it shall not be compared with pure gold. 20 Where then is wisdom found? And of what kind is the place of understanding? 21 It has escaped the notice of every man, and has been hidden from the birds of the sky. 22 Destruction and Death said, We have heard the report of it. 23 God has well ordered the way of it, and He knows the place of it. 24 For He surveys the whole earth under heaven, knowing the things in the earth; 25 all that He has made; the weight of the winds, the measures of the water. 26 When He made them, thus He saw and numbered them, and made a way for the pealing of the thunder. 27 Then He saw it, and declared it: He prepared it, and traced it out. 28 And He said to man, Behold, godliness is wisdom: and to abstain from evil is understanding.

6 They that trust in their strength, and boast themselves in the multitude of their wealth — 7 a brother does not redeem, shall a man redeem? He shall not give to God a ransom for himself, 8 or the price for the redemption of his soul, though he labor forever, 9 and live to the end, so that he should not see corruption. 10 When he shall see wise men dying, the fool and the senseless one shall perish together; and they shall leave their wealth to strangers. 11 And their tombs are their houses forever, even their tabernacles to all generations; they have called their lands after their own names. 12 And man being in honor, understands not; he is compared to the senseless cattle, and is likened unto them. 13 This their way is an offense to them; yet afterwards men will commend their sayings. Pause. 14 They have laid them as sheep in Hades; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning, and their help shall fail in Hades from their glory.

And even the dogs came and would lick his sores. 22 And it came to pass that the beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham from afar, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am suffering in this flame.' 25 But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things, but now here he is comforted and you are suffering.

Romans 1:1

1 Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, having been separated to the gospel of God

Romans 1:16

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes, both to the Jew first and to the Greek.

Romans 2:7

7 to those who by the endurance of good works are seeking glory and honor and incorruption--eternal life.

Romans 2:7-10

7 to those who by the endurance of good works are seeking glory and honor and incorruption--eternal life.

Romans 2:7-8

7 to those who by the endurance of good works are seeking glory and honor and incorruption--eternal life. 8 But to those who are contentious, and who disobey the truth, but obey unrighteousness--indignation and wrath,

Romans 2:8-8

8 But to those who are contentious, and who disobey the truth, but obey unrighteousness--indignation and wrath, 9 ~ tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that works evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; 10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone that works good, both to the Jew first and to the Greek.

Romans 2:13

13 (for not the hearers of the law are righteous with God, but the doers of the law shall be justified;

Romans 4:17

17 (just as it is written, "I have appointed you a father of many nations") before God, whom he believed, the One who gives life to the dead and calls those things which are not as though they were;

Romans 5:2-3

2 through whom also we have had access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also rejoice in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces endurance;

Romans 5:3-3

3 And not only that, but we also rejoice in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces endurance; 4 and endurance, character; and character, hope.

Romans 5:12-21

12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death passed to all men, because all sinned-- 13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who did not sin according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. 15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of one man many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to the many. 16 And the gift is not as by one having sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the offense of the one man death reigned through the one man, much more those receiving the abundance of the grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For through the disobedience of the one man the many were constituted sinners, so also through the obedience of the One many shall be constituted righteous. 20 But the law came in alongside, so that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace superabounded, 21 so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:17

17 But thanks be to God, that though you used to be slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from your heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

Romans 6:21-23

21 So what fruit did you have then of which things you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22 But now having been freed from sin, and having become enslaved to God, you have your fruit resulting in sanctification, and the end, eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 7:11

11 For sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, deceived me, and by it, killed me. 12 Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy and righteous and good. 13 Then has that which is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through that which is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.

Romans 7:22-23

22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23 But I see a different law in my members, waging war with the law of my mind, and capturing me by the law of sin which is in my members.

Romans 8:15

15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again unto fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."

Romans 8:17-18

17 And if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer together, so that we may also be glorified together.

Romans 8:17

17 And if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer together, so that we may also be glorified together. 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the coming glory to be revealed in us.

Romans 8:25

25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly await it with endurance.

Romans 8:28

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29 Because whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:35-37

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 Just as it is written: "For Your sake we are put to death the whole day long; we are accounted as sheep for slaughter." 37 But in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Romans 9:15-18

15 For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion." 16 So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God who shows mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very thing I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be proclaimed in all the earth." 18 So then He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens. 19 You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who has ever resisted His will?" 20 But indeed, O man, who are you to be answering back against God? Surely the thing formed will not say to him who formed it, "Why did you made me like this?"

Romans 11:17

17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and became a partaker of the root and of the fatness of the olive tree,

Romans 11:22

22 Behold then the kindness and severity of God: upon those that fell, severity; but upon you, kindness, if you continue in His kindness. Otherwise you also shall be cut off.

Romans 11:29-30

29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30 For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now you were shown mercy through their disobedience,

Romans 12:2

2 And do not fashion yourselves after this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and well pleasing and perfect will of God.

Romans 12:6-8

6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace having been given to us, let us use them: whether prophecy, let us prophecy according to the proportion of faith; 7 whether ministry, let us use it in our ministry; whether teaching; in the teaching; 8 whether exhorting, in the exhortation; whether sharing, with simplicity; whether leading, with diligence; whether showing mercy, with cheerfulness.

Romans 13:12-13

12 The night is advanced, the day is at hand. Therefore let us put off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelries and drinking bouts, not in orgies and debaucheries, not in strife and jealousy.

Romans 15:4

4 For as many things as were previously written, were written for our own instruction, that through the patience and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we may have hope.

1 Corinthians 2:6

6 However, we speak wisdom among those that are perfect, but not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are being destroyed.

1 Corinthians 2:9

9 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

1 Corinthians 4:7

7 For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? And if you did indeed receive what you have, why do you boast as though you did not receive it?

1 Corinthians 4:15

15 For though you might have ten thousand tutors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

1 Corinthians 6:9

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,

31 and those using this world as not using it up. For the form of this world is passing away.

1 Corinthians 8:3

3 But if anyone loves God, this one has been known by Him.

1 Corinthians 9:25

25 And everyone who competes exercises self-control in all things. Now they compete in order that they may receive a perishable crown, but we compete for an imperishable crown.

1 Corinthians 12:4-12

4 Now there are varieties of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are varieties of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are varieties of activities, but the same God works all in all. 7 But to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the profit {\I of all). 8 For to one is given a word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another a word of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9 and to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another discerning of spirits, and to another different kinds of tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills. 12 For just as the body is one and has many parts, but all the parts of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:2

2 through which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:15

15 And we are found to be false witnesses of God, because we bore witness concerning God, that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise--if in fact the dead are not raised.

1 Corinthians 15:33

33 Do not be deceived: "Evil associations corrupts good habits."

1 Corinthians 15:58

58 So then, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

2 Corinthians 2:16

16 To some we are the fragrance of death leading to death, but to others the fragrance of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?

2 Corinthians 3:17-18

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 4:6

6 Because it is God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 7:1

1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in calamities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 13:5

5 Scrutinize yourselves as to whether you are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless indeed you are reprobates?

Galatians 1:4

4 who gave Himself for our sins, so that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

Galatians 1:19

19 But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the brother of the Lord.

Galatians 2:4

4 and that was because of false brothers secretly brought in (who slipped in to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might reduce us to slavery),

Galatians 2:6

6 But from those who seemed to be something--whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God shows partiality to no man--so to me, those with influence contributed nothing,

Galatians 2:9

9 and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace which was given to me, they gave me and Barnabas their right hands of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised;

Galatians 2:12

12 For before certain men came from James, he would eat together with the Gentiles; but when they came, he began to draw back and began to separate himself, fearing those of the circumcision party.

Galatians 3:4

4 Have you suffered so many things in vain--If indeed they really were in vain?

Galatians 5:1

1 Stand fast therefore in the freedom in which Christ has made us free, and do not be loaded down again with a yoke of bondage.

Galatians 5:6

6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.

Galatians 5:20-21

20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, 21 envies, murders, drinking bouts, revelries, and the like; which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 6:3

3 For if anyone thinks that he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

Galatians 6:7

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for what a man sows, this also he will reap.

Galatians 6:9

9 And while we do good, let us not lose heart, for in due season we shall reap if we do not become weary.

Galatians 6:9-10

9 And while we do good, let us not lose heart, for in due season we shall reap if we do not become weary. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us work what is good toward all, but especially toward those who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:14

14 But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Ephesians 1:12

12 so that we should be to the praise of His glory, we who first trusted in Christ; 13 in whom also you, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Ephesians 1:18

18 the eyes of your heart having been enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Ephesians 2:3-5

3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the senses, and were by nature children of wrath, as also the rest. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

Ephesians 2:8

8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

Ephesians 4:8-11

8 Therefore He says: "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men." 9 But that "He ascended"--what it is but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He that descended, He is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things. 11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,

Ephesians 4:14

14 that we may no longer be infants, being tossed as by waves, and being carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in regard to deceitful scheming,

Ephesians 4:22

22 that you put off, concerning your former way of life, the old man which is being corrupted according to the deceitful lusts,

Ephesians 4:26

26 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun set on your anger,

Ephesians 4:29

29 Let no corrupt word proceed from your mouth, but only what is good for edification, that it may give grace to them that hear.

Ephesians 4:31

31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and blasphemy be removed from you, with all malice.

Ephesians 5:4

4 neither wickedness, nor foolish talk or coarse jesting, which are not proper, but rather thanksgiving.

Philippians 1:1

1 Paul and Timothy, bondservants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, together with the overseers and ministers:

Philippians 1:29

29 For to you it has been granted for the sake of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,

Philippians 2:12

12 So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

Philippians 2:17

17 But even if I am being poured upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice; yea, and I rejoice with you all.

Philippians 3:3

3 For we are the true circumcision, worshipping by the Spirit of God, rejoicing in Christ Jesus, and having no confidence in the flesh,

Philippians 3:8

8 More than that I also consider all things to be loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have sustained the loss of all things, and I consider them to be rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

Philippians 3:12-15

12 Not that I have already obtained, or have already been made perfect; but I press on, if also I may lay hold of that for which I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brothers, I do not count myself to have laid hold; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:14

14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Therefore, as many as are mature, let us think this way; and if in anything you think otherwise, even this God will reveal to you.

Philippians 4:1

1 Therefore, my beloved and longed for brothers, my joy and crown, in this way stand fast in the Lord, beloved.

Philippians 4:8

8 Finally, brothers, as many things as are true, as many as are honorable, as many as are just, as many as are pure, as many as are lovely--if there is any virtue and if there is any praise--meditate on these things.

Colossians 1:11

11 being strengthened with all power, according to the might of His glory, for all endurance and longsuffering with joy;

Colossians 1:20-21

20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of His cross. 21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled

Colossians 1:23

23 if indeed you continue in the faith, having been founded and firm and not drifting away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was proclaimed to all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. 24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for His body, which is the church,

Colossians 2:4

4 Now this I say lest anyone may deceive you with persuasive words.

Colossians 2:8

8 Beware lest anyone captures you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

Colossians 3:1-3

1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God.

Colossians 3:5-8

5 Therefore put to death your members on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of which things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. 8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: wrath, anger, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.

Colossians 3:8-8

8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: wrath, anger, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.

Colossians 3:15

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

Colossians 3:17

17 And whatever you may do in word or deed, do all things in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Colossians 4:6

6 Let your word always be with grace, having been seasoned with salt, to know how you ought to answer each one.

Colossians 4:12

12 Epaphras greets you, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, always struggling for you in his prayers, that you may stand mature and complete in all the will of God.

1 Thessalonians 1:5

5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, just as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

1 Thessalonians 2:13

13 Because of this we also give thanks to God unceasingly, so that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you received not the word of men, but just as it truly is, the word of God, which also is at work in you who believe.

2 Thessalonians 1:4

4 so that we ourselves are boasting in you among the churches of God about your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14

13 But we are obligated to give thanks to God always for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth, 14 to which He called you through our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3:5

5 Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

1 Timothy 1:5

5 Now the goal of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith,

1 Timothy 2:8

8 I desire therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

1 Timothy 2:15

15 Nevertheless she shall be saved through childbirth, if they remain in faith and love, and sanctification, with self-control.

1 Timothy 4:16

16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for by doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

1 Timothy 5:4

4 But if a certain widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety to their own household and to make repayment to their parents; for this is acceptable before God.

1 Timothy 6:17

17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to put their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, who provides all things richly for us to enjoy,

2 Timothy 2:18

18 who have strayed concerning the truth, asserting that the resurrection has already occurred; and they overturn the faith of some.

2 Timothy 2:24-25

24 And a servant of the Lord ought not to fight, but to be gentle to all, skillful at teaching, forbearing, 25 in meekness instructing those that oppose, if God perhaps may give them repentance, to a full knowledge of the truth,

2 Timothy 3:13

13 But evil men and impostors shall advance worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

2 Timothy 3:15-17

15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:17-17

17 that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 4:8

8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.

2 Timothy 4:21

21 Be diligent to come before winter. Eubulus greets you, as well as Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brothers.

Titus 1:1

1 Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of the elect of God and the full knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,

Titus 2:11

11 For the saving grace of God has appeared to all men,

Titus 3:3-5

3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, being deceived, being enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

Titus 3:3

3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, being deceived, being enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we did, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Hebrews 1:11-12

11 They shall perish, but You continue; and they all shall grow old like a garment; 12 and like a cloak You will roll them up, and they shall be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will not fail."

Hebrews 2:3

3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which in the beginning was spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

Hebrews 3:13

13 but encourage yourselves every day, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 4:2

2 For indeed we have had the gospel preached to us just as those also; but the word which they heard did not profit those, not having been mixed with faith in those having heard it.

Hebrews 6:15

15 And so, after he had been patient, he obtained the promise.

Hebrews 10:23

23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Hebrews 10:32

32 But remember the former days, in which after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle of sufferings,

Hebrews 10:34

34 For you sympathized with me in my chains, and you received the plunder of your possessions with joy, knowing that you have for yourselves a better and enduring possession in heaven.

Hebrews 10:36

36 For you have need of endurance, so that having done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

Hebrews 11:6

6 But without faith it is impossible to please God, for it is necessary for the one approaching God to believe that He is, and that He becomes a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Hebrews 11:17

17 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, had offered up Isaac, and he that received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

Hebrews 11:36-38

36 Still others took a trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and of prison. 37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were tried, they were slain, being murdered with the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, being in want, being afflicted, being ill treated, 38 of whom the world was not worthy, wandering in deserts and mountains and caves, and the holes of the earth.

Hebrews 12:1

1 So therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every impediment, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Hebrews 12:5

5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: "My son, do not despise the discipline of the LORD, nor be discouraged when you are reproved;

Hebrews 12:15

15 looking diligently lest anyone fall from the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness growing up cause trouble, and through this many be defiled;

Hebrews 12:23

23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn having been enrolled in the heavens, to God the Judge of all, and to spirits of just men made perfect,

Hebrews 13:1

1 Let brotherly love remain.

Hebrews 13:8

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 9 Do not be carried away with various and strange doctrines. For it is good for the heart to be established by grace, not by foods, by which those having walked were not profited.

Hebrews 13:21

21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing before Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

James 1:2-4

2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various trials,

James 1:2

2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 But let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him.

James 1:12

12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; because when he is approved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to those who love Him.

James 1:17

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

James 1:19

19 So then, my beloved brothers, let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;

James 1:21

21 Therefore laying aside all filthiness and abundance of evil, in meekness receive the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observed himself and has gone away, and immediately forgot what sort of man he was.

James 1:26

26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceiving his heart, the religion of this man is useless.

James 2:5-6

5 Listen, my beloved brothers. Did God not choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those that love Him?

James 2:5

5 Listen, my beloved brothers. Did God not choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those that love Him? 6 But you have dishonored the poor. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into court?

James 2:12

12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.

James 2:14-20

14 What does it profit, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Is that kind of faith able to save him?

James 2:14-26

14 What does it profit, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Is that kind of faith able to save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,

James 2:15-26

15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the necessary things of the body, what is the benefit?

James 2:16-26

16 and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the necessary things of the body, what is the benefit? 17 Thus also that faith, if it does not have works, is dead, being by itself

James 2:17-26

17 Thus also that faith, if it does not have works, is dead, being by itself 18 But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by means of my works.

James 2:18-26

18 But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by means of my works. 19 You believe God is one. You do well. Even the demons believe--and they shudder!

James 2:19-26

19 You believe God is one. You do well. Even the demons believe--and they shudder! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

James 2:20-26

20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

James 2:20

20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by means of his works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called a friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by means of works, when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

James 3:1-2

1 My brothers, let not many become teachers, knowing that we shall receive greater judgment. 2 For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a mature man, able also to bridle the whole body.

James 3:2-2

2 For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a mature man, able also to bridle the whole body.

James 3:2-6

2 For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a mature man, able also to bridle the whole body. 3 Consider that we put bits in horses' mouths that they may obey us, and we guide their whole body. 4 Consider also the ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the impulse of the pilot desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a small member and it boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. Thus the tongue is set among our members, as that which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

James 3:15

15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.

James 3:17

17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

James 3:17-18

17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those making peace.

James 4:1-2

1 From where come wars and disputes among you? Is it not from here, from your lusts, which war in your members? 2 You lust and you do not have. You murder and are jealous and you cannot obtain. You fight and make war. You do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend it in gratifying your lusts. 4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world is constituted an enemy of God.

James 4:8

8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

James 4:14

14 you who do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? For it will be a vapor that appears for a little time, but then also disappears.

James 4:17

17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

James 5:1-7

1 Listen now, you rich, weep and howl at your miseries which are coming upon you! 2 Your riches have decayed, and your garments have become moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver have become corroded, and their poison will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You stored up treasure in the last days. 4 Indeed, the wages of the laborers who reaped your fields, which were kept back by you, cry out, and the cries of the reapers have entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts. 5 You lived luxuriously upon the earth and you lived riotously, you nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned; you have murdered the just. He does not resist you. 7 Therefore be patient, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer awaits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient for it, until it receives the early and late rain.

James 5:7-7

7 Therefore be patient, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer awaits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient for it, until it receives the early and late rain. 8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, because the coming of the Lord has drawn near. 9 Do not murmur against one another, brothers, lest you be judged. Behold, the Judge stands before the doors! 10 My brothers, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of evil suffering and of longsuffering. 11 Indeed we count those blessed who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you saw the end of the Lord--that He is compassionate and He is merciful.

James 5:11

11 Indeed we count those blessed who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you saw the end of the Lord--that He is compassionate and He is merciful.

James 5:16

16 Confess your transgressions to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of the righteous is very powerful.

1 Peter 1:1

1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the elect sojourners of the Dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

1 Peter 1:3

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 into an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, reserved in the heavens for you,

1 Peter 1:6-8

6 In which you greatly rejoice, though for a little while now, if need be, you have been distressed by various trials, 7 so that the genuineness of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, though being tested with fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:7

7 so that the genuineness of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, though being tested with fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8 Whom not having seen, you love, in whom now not seeing, but believing, you rejoice with inexpressible joy and glorified, 9 obtaining for yourselves the outcome your faith--the salvation of your souls.

1 Peter 1:23

23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever. 24 For "All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man is as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away,

1 Peter 2:1

1 Therefore having put away all malice, all guile, hypocrisy, envy, and all slanders,

1 Peter 2:9

9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellent virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

1 Peter 2:11

11 Beloved, I implore you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from the lusts of the flesh which war against the soul;

1 Peter 2:16

16 as free, yet not using freedom as a cover for wickedness, but as bondservants of God.

1 Peter 3:10

10 For "He that desires to love life and see good days, let him stop his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile.

1 Peter 3:14

14 But even if you should suffer on account of righteousness, you are blessed. "But do not fear their threats, nor be troubled."

1 Peter 4:13-16

13 but inasmuch as you partake in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, in order that also at the unveiling of His glory, you may rejoice with great happiness.

1 Peter 4:13

13 but inasmuch as you partake in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, in order that also at the unveiling of His glory, you may rejoice with great happiness. 14 If you are reviled in the name of Christ, blessed are you, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On the one hand He is blasphemed, but on the other He is glorified. 15 For let not anyone of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evildoer, or as a meddler in other people's affairs; 16 but if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be put to shame, but let him glorify God in this matter.

1 Peter 5:4

4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

1 Peter 5:10

10 But may the God of all grace, the One having called you into His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, may He Himself make you complete--He will establish, strengthen, and firmly ground you.

2 Peter 1:1

1 Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

2 Peter 1:6

6 and with knowledge self-control, and with self-control perseverance, and with perseverance godliness,

2 Peter 1:9
