¹⁹ And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of springing water; and she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the child a drink.

³¹ And God opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the Angel of the Lord withstanding him in the way, and His sword drawn in His hand, and he stooped down and worshipped on his face.

¹⁷ And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, open the eyes of the servant, I pray, and let him see. And the Lord opened his eyes, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses, and there were chariots of fire round about Elisha. ¹⁸ And they came down to him; and he prayed to the Lord, and said, Strike this people, I pray, with blindness. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.

⁵ Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall hear. ⁶ Then shall the lame man leap as a deer, and the tongue of the stammerers shall speak plainly; for water has burst forth in the desert, and a channel of water in a thirsty land.

So they said to Him, "The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who proved to be a man who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, ²⁰ and how the chief priests and our rulers handed Him over to be condemned to death, and they crucified Him. ²¹ But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. ²² Moreover certain women of our group astonished us, after they arrived early at the tomb. ²³ And not finding His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. ²⁴ And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it thus just as also the women had said; but Him they did not see." ²⁵ Then He said to them, "O you foolish, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! ²⁶ Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?" ²⁷ And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. ²⁸ Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He made as though He was going farther. ²⁹ But they constrained Him, saying, "Stay with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent." And He went in to stay with them. ³⁰ Now it came to pass, as He was reclining to eat with them, having taken bread, He blessed and broke it, and He gave it to them. ³¹ Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight.
