¹ And the Lord visited Sarah, as He said, and the Lord did to Sarah, as He spoke.

¹⁶ And I will bless her, and give you a son by her, and I will bless him, and he shall become nations, and kings of nations shall be of him.

¹⁹ And God said to Abraham, Yea, behold, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him, for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to him and to his seed after him.

²¹ But I will establish My covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this time, in the next year.

¹⁰ And He said, I will return and come to you according to this period seasonably, and Sarah your wife shall have a son; and Sarah heard at the door of the tent, being behind him.

¹⁴ Shall anything be impossible with the Lord? At the appointed time I shall return to you, and Sarah shall have a son.

²⁴ And Joseph spoke to his brothers, saying, I die, and God will surely visit you, and will bring you out of this land to the land concerning which God swore to our fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

¹⁶ Go then and gather the elders of the children of Israel, and you shall say to them, The Lord God of our fathers has appeared to me, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, saying, I have surely looked upon you, and upon all the things which have happened to you in Egypt.

³¹ And the people believed and rejoiced, because God visited the children of Israel, and because He saw their affliction. And the people bowed down and worshipped.

⁵ You shall not bow down to them, nor serve them; for I am the Lord your God, a jealous God, recompensing the sins of the fathers upon the children, to the third and fourth generation to them that hate Me,

⁶ And she rose up, and her two daughters-in-law, and they returned out of the country of Moab, for she heard in the country of Moab that the Lord had visited His people to give them bread.

²¹ And the Lord visited Anna, and she bore yet three sons, and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord.

⁶ The oracles of the Lord are pure oracles; as silver tried in the fire, proved in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

⁴ Remember us, O Lord, with the favor You have toward Your people; visit us with Your salvation;

³⁵ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall by no means pass away.

⁶⁸ "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed His people,

⁴⁴ and they will level you to the ground, and your children with you; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the season of your visitation."

¹⁷ (just as it is written, "I have appointed you a father of many nations") before God, whom he believed, the One who gives life to the dead and calls those things which are not as though they were; ¹⁸ who, contrary to hope, on hope believed, so that he should become a father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be." ¹⁹ And not weakening in faith, he did not consider his own body, already having been worn out (being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb, ²⁰ he did not waver at the promise of God in unbelief, but was empowered by faith, giving glory to God,

²³ But he who was of the servant girl was born according to the flesh, and he of the free woman through the promise,

²⁸ But we, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise.
