³ For our exhortation was not from error nor from uncleanness, nor in trickery,

¹⁵ And Moses was exceeding indignant, and said to the Lord, Take no heed to their sacrifice; I have not taken away the desire of anyone of them, neither have I hurt anyone of them.

³ Behold, here am I, answer against me before the Lord and before His anointed. Whose calf have I taken? Or whose donkey have I taken? Or who among you have I oppressed? Or from whose hand have I taken a bribe, even as much as a sandal? Bear witness against me, and I will make restitution to you.

³³ I have desired the silver or gold or clothes of no one. ³⁴ You yourselves know that these hands rendered service to my needs, and those who were with me.

¹⁷ For we are not as the rest, corrupting the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.

² but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor falsifying the word of God, but by the disclosure of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience before God.

⁵ For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake.

² Receive us in your hearts. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have defrauded no one.

¹³ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.

¹⁶ But be that as it may, I did not burden you. Nevertheless, being crafty, I took you with guile! ¹⁷ Did I take advantage of you by any of those whom I sent to you? ¹⁸ I urged Titus, and I sent with him the brother. Did Titus take advantage of you? Did we not walk in the same Spirit? Did we not walk in the same steps?

⁵ For neither were we using flattering speech, as you know, nor covering up greed, God is our witness. ⁶ Nor seeking glory from men, neither from you, nor from others, even though we were able to carry weight as apostles of Christ.

¹¹ as indeed you know how each one of you, as a father to his own children, we exhorted, and comforted you, and imploring you,

¹ Finally then, brothers, we request of you and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you should abound more. ² For you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

⁷ For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in sanctification.

¹¹ And because of this, God will send them strong delusion, in order for them to believe the lie,

¹⁶ For we did not follow craftily devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but rather became eyewitnesses of His majesty.
