¹ Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: ² Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. ³ We are obligated to give thanks to God always for you, brothers, and rightfully so, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all increases towards one another, ⁴ so that we ourselves are boasting in you among the churches of God about your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure, ⁵ which is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, so that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, on behalf of which you also suffer; ⁶ since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, ⁷ and to give you who are being afflicted rest along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with His mighty angels, ⁸ in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ These shall pay a penalty--eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might, ¹⁰ whenever He comes, in that Day, to be glorified among His saints and to be marveled among all those having believed, because our testimony among you was believed. ¹¹ Therefore we also pray always concerning you that our God may count you worthy of this calling, and may fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, ¹² in order that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

³⁵ In the day of vengeance I will recompense, whenever their foot shall be tripped up; for the day of their destruction is near to them, and the judgments at hand are close upon you.

⁹ You shall rule them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces as a potter's vessel. ¹⁰ Now therefore understand, you kings: be instructed, all you that judge the earth. ¹¹ Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice in Him with trembling. ¹² Accept correction, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you should perish from the righteous way. Whenever His wrath shall be suddenly kindled, blessed are all they that trust in Him.

⁷ but the Lord endures forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment. ⁸ And He will judge the world in righteousness, He will judge the nations in uprightness.

¹⁰ And let them that know Your name hope in You — for You, O Lord, have not failed them that diligently seek You.

¹¹ You have made known to me the ways of life; You will fill me with joy with Your countenance: at Your right hand there are delights forever.

⁴⁴ at the hearing of the ear they obeyed me: the strange children lied to me.

⁸ Let Your hand be found by all Your enemies; let Your right hand find all that hate You. ⁹ You shall make them as a fiery oven at the time of Your presence; the Lord shall trouble them in His anger, and fire shall devour them.

³⁵ God is wonderful in His holy places, the God of Israel; He will give power and strength to His people; blessed be God.

¹⁷ Let His name be blessed forever; His name shall endure longer than the sun, and all the tribes of the earth shall be blessed in Him: all nations shall call Him blessed.

²² Arise, O God, plead Your cause; remember Your reproaches that come from the foolish one all the day. ²³ Forget not the voice of Your enemies; let the pride of them that hate You continually ascend before You.

⁶ Pour out Your wrath upon the heathen that have not known You, and upon the kingdoms which have not called upon Your name.

¹⁰ Why should the heathen say, Where is their God? And let the avenging of Your servant's blood that has been shed be known among the heathen before our eyes. ¹¹ Let the groaning of the prisoners come in before You; according to the greatness of Your power, preserve the sons of the slain. ¹² Repay to our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, with which they have reproached You, O Lord.

⁷ They shall go from strength to strength; the God of gods shall be seen in Zion.

¹³ They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

¹ A Psalm of David for the fourth day of the week. The Lord is a God of vengeance; the God of vengeance has declared Himself.

²⁰ Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with You, which frames mischief by an ordinance? ²¹ They will hunt for the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood. ²² But the Lord was my refuge; and my God the helper of my hope. ²³ And He will recompense to them their iniquity and their wickedness; the Lord our God shall utterly destroy them.

⁴ And the king's honor loves judgment; You have prepared equity, You have established judgment and justice in Jacob.

⁷ The works of His hands are truth and judgment; all His commandments are sure;

⁸ O Lord, You shall recompense them on my behalf: Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever: do not overlook the works of Your hands.

¹⁸ But the ways of the righteous shine like light; they go forth and shine, until the day has fully come.

²⁵ By the Lord shall they be justified, and in God shall all the seed of the children of Israel be glorified.

³ and said to me, You are My servant, O Israel, and in you I will be glorified.

²⁶ And they that afflicted you shall eat their own flesh; and they shall drink their own blood as new wine, and shall be drunk; and all flesh shall perceive that I am the Lord that delivers you, and that upholds the strength of Jacob.

⁷ let the ungodly leave his ways, and the transgressor his counsels; and let him return to the Lord, and he shall find mercy; for He shall abundantly pardon your sins.

⁵ Hear the words of the Lord, you that tremble at His word; speak, our brethren, to them that hate you and abominate you, that the name of the Lord may be glorified, and may appear their joy; but they shall be ashamed.

⁹ But I have raised this expectation, yet you have not remembered Me, says the Lord; behold, have not I made the bearing and barren woman? Says your God.

²⁴ And they shall go forth, and see the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against Me; for their worm shall not die, and their fire shall not be quenched; and they shall be a spectacle to all flesh.

⁶ There is usury upon usury, and deceit upon deceit: they would not know Me, says the Lord.

²⁴ but let him that boasts boast in this: the understanding and knowing that I am the Lord that exercises mercy, and judgment, and righteousness upon the earth; for in these things is My pleasure, says the Lord.

⁹ And it shall be for joy and praise, and for glory to all the people of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I will do. And they shall fear and be provoked for all the good things and for all the peace which I will bring upon them.

¹⁷ For our God whom we serve is in the heavens, able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He shall rescue us from your hands, O king.

³⁷ Now therefore, I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and greatly exalt and glorify the King of heaven; for all His works are true, and His paths are judgment: and all that walk in pride He is able to abase.

¹⁰ A stream of fire rushed forth before Him. Thousands upon thousands ministered to Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand attended to Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.

² And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproach and everlasting shame.

³ Let us follow on to know the Lord: we shall find Him ready as the morning, and He will come to us as the early and latter rain to the earth.

⁸ For thus says the Lord Almighty; After the glory has he sent Me to the nations that spoiled you: for he that touches you is as one that touches the apple of His eye.

⁷ Who are you, O great mountain before Zerubbabel, that you should prosper? Whereas I will bring out the stone of the inheritance, its grace equal to My grace.

¹⁷ And they shall be Mine, says the Lord Almighty, in the day which I appoint for a peculiar possession; and I will make choice of them, as a man makes choice of his son that serves him.

¹⁰ Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. ¹¹ "Blessed are you whenever they revile you, and they persecute you, and they say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. ¹² Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

²² Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name we cast out demons, and in Your name we did many mighty works?' ²³ "And then I will confess to them, 'I never knew you! Depart from Me, you who work iniquity!'

³⁹ The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. ⁴⁰ Therefore just as the tares are gathered and burned with fire, thus it will be at the end of this age. ⁴¹ The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who work iniquity, ⁴² and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. ⁴³ Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

²⁷ For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will render to each according to his works.

¹³ Then the king said to the servants, 'Tie him up hands and feet, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

³⁰ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

³⁶ "But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

³¹ "And when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then will He sit upon His glorious throne.

⁴¹ "Then He will also say to those on the left, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

⁴⁶ "And these shall go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

²⁴ Indeed, the Son of Man goes just as it is written about Him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."

Indeed the world did not know You, yet I knew You; and these knew that You sent Me. ²⁶ And I made known to them Your name, and I will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."

⁴⁶ But Paul and Barnabas, speaking boldly said, "It was necessary for the word of God to be spoken to you first; but since you thrust it away, and judge yourselves not worthy of eternal life; behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

²² strengthening the souls of the disciples, urging them to continue in the faith, saying, "Through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God."

¹ Now he arrived at Derbe and Lystra. And behold, a certain disciple was there named Timothy, the son of a certain Jewish woman who believed, but his father was Greek,

⁵ through whom we received grace and apostleship for obedience of faith among all the nations for His name,

⁷ To all those who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. ⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. ⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers,

²⁸ And just as they did not approve to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things which are not fitting;

⁵ But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you are storing up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God,

⁷ to those who by the endurance of good works are seeking glory and honor and incorruption--eternal life.

²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly await it with endurance.

³⁰ Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

²³ and so that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, ²⁴ even us whom He called, not only of the Jews, but also of the Gentiles?

^{26 (14:25)} but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the eternal God, for obedience to the faith--

³ Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. ⁴ I thank my God always on your behalf for the grace of God which was given to you in Christ Jesus,

⁶ just as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you,

⁸ who will also confirm you until the end, that you may be unimpeachable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹³ each one's work shall be made manifest; for the Day shall reveal it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall test each one's work, as to what sort it is.

¹⁷ Otherwise as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let him walk. And so I command in all the churches.

³⁴ Awake to righteousness, and do not sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet on account of you He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

² for I know your readiness, about which I boast concerning you to the Macedonians, that Achaia has been prepared since last year, and your zeal has provoked the majority.

⁴ lest perhaps if some Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we (not to mention you!) should be ashamed of this confident boasting.

⁵ casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ,
