¹ And the fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star having fallen out of heaven to the earth, and the key of the pit of the abyss was given to it. ² And he opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. ³ And out of the smoke, locusts came forth unto the earth, and power was given to them, like the scorpions of the earth have power. ⁴ And it was said to them that they shall not harm the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men not having the seal of God on the foreheads. ⁵ And it was granted to them that they should not kill them, but that they shall torment them five months. And their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it might strike a man. ⁶ And in those days, men will seek death, and will not find it; and they will long to die, and death shall flee from them. ⁷ And the appearance of the locusts was like horses having been prepared for battle, and upon their heads were something like crowns, like gold; and their faces like the faces of men. ⁸ And they had hair like hair of women, and their teeth were like those of lions. ⁹ And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of many chariots of horses rushing into battle. ¹⁰ And they have tails and stingers like scorpions, and their power to injure men for five months is in their tails. ¹¹ They have a king over them, the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek, he has the name Apollyon. ¹² The first woe has passed. Behold, two woes still are coming after these things. ¹³ And the sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard one voice from the four horns of the golden altar before God, ¹⁴ saying to the sixth angel, the one having the trumpet, “Release the four angels, those having been bound at the great river Euphrates.” ¹⁵ And the four angels having been prepared for the hour and day and month and year were released, so that they might kill a third of mankind. ¹⁶ And the number of the armies of the cavalry was twice ten thousand ten thousands; I heard the number of them. ¹⁷ And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those sitting on them, having fiery and hyacinthine and brimstone breastplates. And the heads of the horses were like heads of lions, and out of their mouths proceed fire and smoke and brimstone. ¹⁸ By these three plagues, a third of mankind was killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone proceeding out of their mouths. ¹⁹ For the powers of the horses are in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents having heads, and with them they injure. ²⁰ And the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues did not even repent of the works of their hands so that they will not worship the demons, and the golden and silver and bronze and stone and wooden idols, which are able neither to see, nor to hear, nor to walk. ²¹ And they did not repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.

³¹ And they were begging Him not to command them to depart into the abyss.

¹⁸ And He said to them, “I beheld Satan having fallen as lightning out of heaven.

⁷ or, ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring up Christ out from the dead).”

³ No one should deceive you in any way, because it is not until the apostasy shall have come first, and the man of lawlessness shall have been revealed—the son of destruction, ⁴ the one opposing and exalting himself above every so-called god or object of worship—so as for him to sit down in the temple of God, setting forth that he himself is God. ⁵ Do you not remember that, being yet with you, I was saying these things to you? ⁶ And now you know that which is restraining for his being revealed in his time. ⁷ For the mystery of lawlessness is working already; there is only the one at present restraining it, until he might be gone out of the midst. ⁸ And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will consume with the breath of His mouth and will annul by the appearing of His coming,

¹ But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will be present. ² For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boasters, proud, verbally abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, ³ unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, savage, haters of good, ⁴ betrayers, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, ⁵ having a form of godliness but denying its power. And turn away from these.

¹⁸ and the Living One. And I was dead, and behold I am living to the ages of the ages, and I have the keys of Death and of Hades.

²⁰ the mystery of the seven stars, which you saw on My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

² And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

⁶ And the seven angels having the seven trumpets prepared themselves, that they might sound the trumpets. ⁷ And the first sounded his trumpet, and there was hail and fire having been mixed with blood, and it was cast upon the earth. And a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up. ⁸ And the second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea. And a third of the sea became blood,

¹⁰ And the third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star fell out of heaven, burning like a torch. And it fell upon a third of the rivers, and upon the springs of waters.

¹² And the fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them should be darkened, and the day should not appear for a third of it, and the night likewise.

¹⁴ The second woe has passed. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly. ¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were great voices in heaven, saying: “The kingdom of the world has become that of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign to the ages of the ages.”

⁸ The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go into destruction; and those dwelling on the earth whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will wonder, seeing the beast which was, and is not, and yet will be.

¹ And I saw an angel descending out of heaven, holding in his hand the key of the Abyss, and a great chain.

¹⁰ And the devil, the one deceiving them, was cast into the lake of fire and of sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet also are; and they will be tormented day and night to the ages of the ages.

¹⁹ And I will show wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and vapor of smoke.

¹⁷ And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those sitting on them, having fiery and hyacinthine and brimstone breastplates. And the heads of the horses were like heads of lions, and out of their mouths proceed fire and smoke and brimstone.

¹¹ And the smoke of their torment goes up to ages of ages; and those worshiping the beast and its image have no rest day and night, and if anyone receives the mark of its name.”

¹⁹ Behold, I give you the authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and upon all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.

⁵ And it was granted to them that they should not kill them, but that they shall torment them five months. And their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it might strike a man.

¹⁰ And they have tails and stingers like scorpions, and their power to injure men for five months is in their tails. ¹¹ They have a king over them, the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek, he has the name Apollyon.

²⁴ For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

⁸ Now as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth, men being depraved in mind, disqualified regarding the faith. ⁹ But they will not advance much further, for their folly will be plain to all, as also that of those two became.

⁶ And I heard something like a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, “A choenix of wheat for a denarius, and three choenixes of barley for a denarius; and you should not injure the oil and the wine.”

² And I saw another angel, having ascended from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God. And he cried in a loud voice to the four angels to whom it had been given to them to harm the earth and the sea, ³ saying, “Do not harm the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees, until we shall have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” ⁴ And I heard the number of those having been sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand, having been sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel:

⁷ And the first sounded his trumpet, and there was hail and fire having been mixed with blood, and it was cast upon the earth. And a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

¹ And I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing upon Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred forty-four thousand having His name and the name of His Father having been written on their foreheads.

¹¹ Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over Me, if it were not given to you from above. Because of this, the one having delivered Me up to you has greater sin.”

³ And out of the smoke, locusts came forth unto the earth, and power was given to them, like the scorpions of the earth have power.

¹⁰ And they have tails and stingers like scorpions, and their power to injure men for five months is in their tails.

⁷ And when they shall have completed their testimony, the beast coming up out of the abyss will make war with them, and will overcome them, and will kill them.

⁵ And a mouth was given to it, speaking great things and blasphemy, and it was given authority to act forty and two months.

⁷ And there was given to it to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.

³⁰ Then ‘they will begin to say to the mountains, “Fall upon us,” and to the hills, “Cover us.”’

⁸ For His disciples had gone away into the city, that they might buy food. ⁹ Therefore the Samaritan woman says to Him, “How do You, being a Jew, ask drink from me, being a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no association with Samaritans.

¹⁶ And they say to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the One sitting on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb,

¹⁴ Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him, ¹⁵ but if a woman has long hair, it is to her glory? For the long hair instead of a covering is given to her.

⁹ Likewise also women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing,

³ whose adorning let not be the external, of braiding of hair and putting around of gold, or putting on of garments,

¹⁹ For the powers of the horses are in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents having heads, and with them they injure.

⁴⁴ You are of your father the devil, and you desire to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he might speak falsehood, he speaks from the own; for he is a liar, and the father of it.

³¹ Now is the judgment of this world; now the prince of this world will be cast out.

³⁰ No longer will I speak much with you; for the ruler of this world comes, and in Me he has nothing.

¹¹ and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

⁴ in whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so as for not to beam forth the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

² in which once you walked according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit now working in the sons of disobedience,

⁴ You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because the One in you is greater than the one in the world.

¹⁹ We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the evil one.

⁹ And the great dragon was thrown out, the ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, deceiving the whole inhabited world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

¹³ And I looked, and I heard one eagle flying in mid-heaven, saying in a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those dwelling on the earth, because of the remaining voices of the trumpet of the three angels being about to sound their trumpets!”

²⁴ For Christ has entered not into holy places made by hands, copies of the true ones, but into heaven itself, now to appear for us in the presence of God,

²¹ and having a great priest over the house of God,

³ And another angel having a golden censer came and stood at the altar, and much incense was given to him, that he will offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne. ⁴ And the smoke of the incense went up before God, with the prayers of the saints, out of the hand of the angel. ⁵ And the angel took the censer, and filled it from the fire of the altar, and cast it to the earth; and there were thunders, and rumblings, and flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.

¹ After these things I saw four angels standing upon the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

⁶ And the seven angels having the seven trumpets prepared themselves, that they might sound the trumpets.

¹⁵ And the four angels having been prepared for the hour and day and month and year were released, so that they might kill a third of mankind.

¹² And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way might be prepared of the kings of the rising of the sun.

⁹ and a third of the creatures having life in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

¹¹ And the name of the star is called Wormwood. And a third of the waters became wormwood, and many of the men died from the waters, because they were made bitter. ¹² And the fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them should be darkened, and the day should not appear for a third of it, and the night likewise.

¹⁸ By these three plagues, a third of mankind was killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone proceeding out of their mouths.

¹¹ And I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, and of the living creatures, and of the elders; and their number was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands,

⁴ And I heard the number of those having been sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand, having been sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel:

⁹ And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of many chariots of horses rushing into battle.

⁵ And if anyone should desire to harm them, fire goes out of their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone should desire to harm them, thus it is necessary for him to be killed.

¹⁰ he also will drink of the wine of the anger of God, having been mixed undiluted in the cup of His wrath; and he will be tormented in fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb.

²⁰ And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet, the one having done the signs before him, by which he deceived those having received the mark of the beast and those worshiping its image. The two were cast living into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

⁸ But to the cowardly and unbelieving and having become abominable and murderers and the sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their portion is in the lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

²⁰ the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.

¹⁴ so that no longer we might be infants, being tossed by waves and being carried about by every wind of teaching in the cunning, in the craftiness of men with a view to the scheming of deceit.

³² For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him; and you having seen, did not even repent afterward to believe him.

⁴¹ And in those days they made a calf and offered a sacrifice to the idol and were rejoicing in the works of their hands.

²⁹ Therefore, being offspring of God, we ought not to consider the Divine Being to be like to gold or to silver or to stone, a graven thing of man’s craft and imagination.

²⁶ And you see and hear that not only in Ephesus, but almost all of Asia, this Paul, having persuaded them, has turned away a great many people, saying that they are not gods which have been made by hands.

²¹ For having known God, they glorified Him not as God, or were thankful; but they became futile in their thinking and their foolish heart was darkened. ²² Professing to be wise, they became fools, ²³ and they changed the glory of the immortal God into a likeness of an image of mortal man and birds and quadrupeds and creeping things.

²⁰ Rather, that what the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. And I do not want you to be fellow partakers with demons. ²¹ You are not able to drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You are not able to partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.

²¹ lest of my having come again, my God should humble me as to you, and I should mourn over many of those having before sinned and not having repented of the impurity, and sexual immorality, and sensuality that they have practiced.

¹ But the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,

²¹ And I have given her time that she might repent, and she is not willing to repent of her sexual immorality. ²² Behold, I will cast her into a sickbed, and those committing adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they shall repent of her deeds.

²¹ And they did not repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.

⁸ And the fourth poured out his bowl upon the sun, and there was given to it to scorch men with fire.

¹⁹ For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immorality, thefts, false testimonies, slanders.

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, contentions, dissensions, factions,

⁷ And when they shall have completed their testimony, the beast coming up out of the abyss will make war with them, and will overcome them, and will kill them. ⁸ And their body will be upon the street of the great city, which is called spiritually Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. ⁹ And those of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations gaze upon their bodies three and a half days, and they will not allow their bodies to be put into a tomb.

¹³ And it works great signs, so that it should even cause fire out of heaven to come down to the earth in the presence of men.

¹⁵ And there was given to it to give breath to the image of the beast, so that image of the beast also should speak, and should cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast would be killed.

⁸ And another, a second angel, followed, saying, “Fallen, Fallen is Babylon the great, who has given all the Gentiles to drink of the wine of the passion of her immorality.”

⁶ because they have poured out the blood of saints and of prophets, and You have given to them blood to drink, they are worthy.”

² with whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and those dwelling on the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her sexual immorality.”

⁵ And upon her forehead a name was written, a mystery: Babylon the Great, the mother of the prostitutes, and of the abominations of the earth.

³ For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her sexual immorality; and the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality with her; and the merchants of the earth have been enriched through the power of her luxury.”

²³ And the light of lamp shall never shine in you any longer, and the voice of a bridegroom and a bride shall never be heard in you any longer. For your merchants were the great ones of the earth, because by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.” ²⁴ And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all those having been slain on the earth.

² For His judgments are true and righteous, because He has judged the great prostitute, who had corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and He has avenged the blood of His servants, out of her hand.”

¹⁵ Outside are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the sexually immoral, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone loving and practicing falsehood.
