And who is able to make war against it?” ⁵ And a mouth was given to it, speaking great things and blasphemy, and it was given authority to act forty and two months. ⁶ And it opened its mouth unto blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, those dwelling in heaven. ⁷ And there was given to it to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. ⁸ And all dwelling on the earth will worship it, of whom their names have not been written from the founding of the world in the book of life of the Lamb having been slain. ⁹ If anyone has an ear, let him hear. ¹⁰ “If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he goes; If anyone is to be killed with the sword, by the sword it is necessary for him to be killed.” Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints. ¹¹ And I saw another beast rising out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb, and it was speaking like a dragon. ¹² And it exercises all the authority of the first beast in the presence of it, and causes the earth and those dwelling in it, that they will worship the first beast, of whom its fatal wound had been healed. ¹³ And it works great signs, so that it should even cause fire out of heaven to come down to the earth in the presence of men. ¹⁴ And it deceives those dwelling on the earth, by reason of the signs that were given to it to perform before the beast, telling those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the beast that has the wound of the sword and has lived. ¹⁵ And there was given to it to give breath to the image of the beast, so that image of the beast also should speak, and should cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast would be killed. ¹⁶ And it causes all the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the servants, that it should give them a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, ¹⁷ and that no one should be able to buy or to sell, if not the one having the mark—the name of the beast, or the number of its name. ¹⁸ Here is the wisdom. The one having understanding, let him count the number of the beast, for it is a man’s number, and its number is six hundred sixty-six.

³ No one should deceive you in any way, because it is not until the apostasy shall have come first, and the man of lawlessness shall have been revealed—the son of destruction, ⁴ the one opposing and exalting himself above every so-called god or object of worship—so as for him to sit down in the temple of God, setting forth that he himself is God.

⁷ And when they shall have completed their testimony, the beast coming up out of the abyss will make war with them, and will overcome them, and will kill them.

³ And another sign was seen in heaven, and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his heads, seven diadems.

⁵ And a mouth was given to it, speaking great things and blasphemy, and it was given authority to act forty and two months. ⁶ And it opened its mouth unto blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, those dwelling in heaven.

² And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those conquering over the beast, and over its image, and over the number of its name, standing upon the sea of glass, having harps of God.

³ And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast being full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

⁵ And upon her forehead a name was written, a mystery: Babylon the Great, the mother of the prostitutes, and of the abominations of the earth.

⁷ And the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast carrying her, having the seven heads and the ten horns. ⁸ The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go into destruction; and those dwelling on the earth whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will wonder, seeing the beast which was, and is not, and yet will be. ⁹ Here is the mind having wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains, where the woman sits on them; ¹⁰ and there are seven kings. The five are fallen, the one is, the other has not yet come; and when he shall have come, it behooves him to remain a little while. ¹¹ And the beast which was, and is not, is also himself an eighth, and is of the seven, and goes into destruction. ¹² And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but receive authority as kings one hour, along with the beast.

¹⁶ And the ten horns that you saw, and the beast, these will hate the prostitute, and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh, and will burn her with fire.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation would be fully accomplished, and all the Gentiles should hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

⁸ Be sober-minded; watch. Your adversary the devil prowls about as a roaring lion seeking whom to devour,

³ And another sign was seen in heaven, and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his heads, seven diadems. ⁴ And his tail drags a third of the stars of heaven, and he cast them to the earth. And the dragon stands before the woman being about to bring forth, so that when she should bring forth, he might devour her child.

⁹ And the great dragon was thrown out, the ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, deceiving the whole inhabited world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

¹³ And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who had brought forth the male child.

¹⁵ And out of his mouth the serpent cast water as a river after the woman, so that he might cause her to be carried away by a flood.

⁴ And they worshiped the dragon, who had given authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? And who is able to make war against it?”

¹⁰ And the fifth poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast, and its kingdom became darkened, and they were gnawing their tongues for the distress,

¹² And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but receive authority as kings one hour, along with the beast.

²⁰ And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet, the one having done the signs before him, by which he deceived those having received the mark of the beast and those worshiping its image. The two were cast living into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

² And he seized the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.

¹ And it came to pass in those days, a decree went out from Caesar Augustus to register all the world.

¹⁹ Therefore the Pharisees said among themselves, “You see that you gain nothing. Behold, the world has gone after Him.”

¹⁰ to whom all were giving heed, from small to great, saying, “This one is the power of God that is called Great.” ¹¹ Now they were giving heed to him because for a long time he had amazed them with the magic arts.

¹³ And Simon himself also believed, and having been baptized, was steadfastly continuing with Philip. And beholding the signs and great miracles being performed, he was amazed.

⁹ whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in every power, and in signs, and in wonders of falsehood, ¹⁰ and in every deception of wickedness unto those perishing, in return for which they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved. ¹¹ And because of this, God will send to them a working of delusion, for them to believe what is false, ¹² in order that all those not having believed the truth but having delighted in unrighteousness should be judged.

⁶ And I saw the woman being drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And having seen her, I marveled with great wonder.

⁸ The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go into destruction; and those dwelling on the earth whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will wonder, seeing the beast which was, and is not, and yet will be.

¹⁰ and there are seven kings. The five are fallen, the one is, the other has not yet come; and when he shall have come, it behooves him to remain a little while.

¹³ These have one mind, and they shall give up their power and authority to the beast.

¹⁷ For God has put into their hearts to accomplish His purpose, and to do one purpose, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God will be fulfilled.

²⁰ Rather, that what the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. And I do not want you to be fellow partakers with demons. ²¹ You are not able to drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You are not able to partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons. ²² Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?

⁴ in whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so as for not to beam forth the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

⁴ the one opposing and exalting himself above every so-called god or object of worship—so as for him to sit down in the temple of God, setting forth that he himself is God.

²⁰ And the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues did not even repent of the works of their hands so that they will not worship the demons, and the golden and silver and bronze and stone and wooden idols, which are able neither to see, nor to hear, nor to walk.

¹⁸ and were crying out, seeing the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What is like the great city?’

² And leave out the courtyard outside the temple, and do not measure it, because it has been given up to the nations, and they will trample upon the holy city forty and two months. ³ And I will grant to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy a thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”

⁶ And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place having been prepared there by God, so that they should nourish her there one thousand two hundred sixty days.

¹⁴ And the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly from the face of the serpent into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished there a time, and times, and half a time.

⁷ And there was given to it to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.

³⁴ Offspring of vipers, how are you able to speak good things, being evil? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

¹⁹ For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immorality, thefts, false testimonies, slanders.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. And we beheld His glory, a glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

¹³ Their throat is a grave having been opened; they keep practicing deceit with their tongues; the venom of vipers is under their lips,

¹⁹ because all the fullness was pleased to dwell in Him,

⁹ For in Him all the fullness of the Deity dwells bodily.

² For a tabernacle was prepared, the first room in which were both the lampstand and the table, and the bread of the presentation, which is called the Holy Place.

¹¹ But Christ, having appeared as high priest of the good things having come, by the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made by hands, that is, not of this creation, ¹² nor by blood of goats and calves, but through the own blood, He entered once for all into the holy places, having obtained eternal redemption.

²⁴ For Christ has entered not into holy places made by hands, copies of the true ones, but into heaven itself, now to appear for us in the presence of God,

²² But you have come to Mount Zion, and the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, ²³ and to the assembly, to the church of the firstborn having been enrolled in the heavens, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous having been perfected,

¹ After these things I looked, and behold, a door was standing open in heaven, and the first voice that I heard like a trumpet was speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show to you what it behooves to take place after these things.”

⁴ And around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and sitting on the thrones twenty-four elders, having been clothed in white garments; and on their heads, golden crowns.

¹³ And I heard every creature which is in heaven, and upon the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and everything in them, saying: “To the One sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb, blessing and honor and glory and might to the ages of the ages.”

⁹ After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no one was able to number it, out of every nation, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, having been clothed with white robes, and palm branches in their hands.

¹² And they heard a great voice out of heaven, saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in the cloud, and their enemies beheld them.

¹² Because of this, rejoice O heavens, and those dwelling in them! Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great fury, knowing that he has a short time.”

²⁰ “Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because God has judged for you the judgment against her.”

¹ After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out: “Hallelujah! The salvation and the glory and the power to our God! ² For His judgments are true and righteous, because He has judged the great prostitute, who had corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and He has avenged the blood of His servants, out of her hand.” ³ And a second time they said: “Hallelujah! And her smoke goes up to the ages of the ages.” ⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, the One sitting on the throne, saying: “Amen, Hallelujah!” ⁵ And a voice came forth from the throne, saying: “Praise our God, all you His servants, and those fearing Him, the small and the great!” ⁶ And I heard something like the voice of a great multitude, and like the sound of many waters, and like a sound of mighty thunders, saying: “Hallelujah! For the Lord God our Almighty has reigned.

³ And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying: “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will tabernacle with them, and they will be His peoples, and God Himself will be with them as their God.

⁶ And the devil said to Him, “I will give to You all this authority, and its glory; for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I wish.

¹¹ Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over Me, if it were not given to you from above. Because of this, the one having delivered Me up to you has greater sin.”

⁹ And they are singing a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain, and You purchased to God by Your blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

¹¹ And they say to me, “It is necessary for you to prophesy again concerning many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”

¹⁸ And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and to give the reward to Your servants, the prophets, and to the saints, and to those fearing Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who are destroying the earth.”

¹⁷ And the dragon was angry with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her children keeping the commandments of God and holding the testimony of Jesus. And he stood upon the sand of the sea.

¹⁵ And he says to me, “The waters that you saw where the prostitute sits are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues.

³⁴ Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, those being blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom having been prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

²⁰ Yet do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subjected to you; but rejoice that your names are written in the heavens.”

²⁹ On the next day, he sees Jesus coming to him and says, “Behold the Lamb of God, the One taking away the sin of the world.

⁴ just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world for us to be holy and blameless before Him, in love

³ Yes, and I ask you, true yokefellow, help these women who labored together with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

² in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before time eternal

¹⁹ but by the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, ²⁰ having been foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but having been revealed in the last times for the sake of you,

⁵ The one overcoming thus will be clothed in white garments. And I will never blot out his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

¹⁰ Because you have kept the word of My patient endurance, I also will keep you out of the hour of the trial being about to come upon the whole inhabited world, to try those dwelling upon the earth.

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone should hear My voice and open the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

⁶ And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God having been sent out into all the earth. ⁷ And He came and took it out of the right hand of the One sitting on the throne. ⁸ And when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls being full of incenses, which are the prayers of the saints. ⁹ And they are singing a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain, and You purchased to God by Your blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

¹² saying in a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb having been slain, to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

³ And one of its heads was as having been slain to death. And its wound of death was healed, and the whole earth marveled after the beast. ⁴ And they worshiped the dragon, who had given authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? And who is able to make war against it?”

¹⁴ And it deceives those dwelling on the earth, by reason of the signs that were given to it to perform before the beast, telling those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the beast that has the wound of the sword and has lived. ¹⁵ And there was given to it to give breath to the image of the beast, so that image of the beast also should speak, and should cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast would be killed.

²⁷ And anything defiling, and those practicing abomination and a lie, never shall enter into it; only those having been written in the Lamb’s book of life.

⁷ The one having an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one overcoming, I will give to him to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

¹ And He was speaking to them a parable about the way it behooves them always to pray and not to lose heart, ² saying, “In a certain city, there was a certain judge, not fearing God, and not respecting man. ³ And there was a widow in that city, and she was coming to him, saying, ‘Avenge me of my adversary.’ ⁴ And for a time he would not, but afterward he said within himself, ‘Even if I do not fear God, nor respect man, ⁵ yet because this widow causes me trouble, I will avenge her, so that in the end she does not exhaust me, coming to me.’” ⁶ And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. ⁷ And shall not God execute the avenging of His elect, the ones crying out to Him day and night, and be deferring in regard to them? ⁸ I say to you that He will execute their avenging in quickness. Nevertheless, the Son of Man having come, will He find faith on the earth?”

¹⁹ By your patient endurance, you will gain your souls.

¹¹ being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might, unto all endurance and patience with joy,

¹² so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those inheriting the promises through faith and patience.

³⁶ For you have need of endurance, so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise. ³⁷ For “Yet in a very while little, the One coming will come, and will not delay.

³ For consider fully the One having endured such great hostility from sinners against Himself, so that you shall not grow weary, fainting in your souls. ⁴ Not yet have you resisted unto blood, struggling against sin,

² Esteem it all joy, my brothers, when you might fall into various trials, ³ knowing that testing of your faith produces endurance. ⁴ And let endurance have its perfect work, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

⁷ Therefore be patient, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer awaits the precious fruit of the earth, being patient for it until it receives the early and latter rains. ⁸ You also be patient; strengthen your hearts, because the coming of the Lord has drawn near.

⁹ I John, your brother and fellow-partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance in Jesus, was in the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

² I know your works and your labor and endurance, and that you are not able to tolerate evil ones. And you have tested those claiming to be apostles and are not, and you have found them false.

¹⁹ I know your works, and your love and faith and service and perseverance; and your latter works are greater than the first.

³ Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard—and keep it and repent. If therefore you shall not watch, I will come like a thief, and you shall not know at what hour I will come upon you.

¹² Here is the endurance of the saints, those keeping the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

⁶ because they have poured out the blood of saints and of prophets, and You have given to them blood to drink, they are worthy.”

¹⁵ Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

¹⁸ For such do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own belly; and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

¹³ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. ¹⁵ Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

¹⁷ And the dragon was angry with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her children keeping the commandments of God and holding the testimony of Jesus. And he stood upon the sand of the sea.

⁹ And another, a third angel, followed them, saying in loud a voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image, and receives a mark on his forehead or upon his hand,

⁸ Now as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth, men being depraved in mind, disqualified regarding the faith.

⁵ And if anyone should desire to harm them, fire goes out of their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone should desire to harm them, thus it is necessary for him to be killed.

¹⁴ for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go forth to the kings of the whole inhabited world, to gather them together unto the battle of the great day of God the Almighty.

⁹ And they marched up over the breadth of the earth and encircled the camp of the saints and the city having been beloved. But fire came down out of heaven and devoured them.

⁸ And all dwelling on the earth will worship it, of whom their names have not been written from the founding of the world in the book of life of the Lamb having been slain.

¹¹ And I saw another beast rising out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb, and it was speaking like a dragon. ¹² And it exercises all the authority of the first beast in the presence of it, and causes the earth and those dwelling in it, that they will worship the first beast, of whom its fatal wound had been healed.

² And the first departed and poured out his bowl into the earth, and an evil and grievous sore came upon the men having the mark of the beast and those worshiping its image.

²³ And the light of lamp shall never shine in you any longer, and the voice of a bridegroom and a bride shall never be heard in you any longer. For your merchants were the great ones of the earth, because by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.”

³ And he cast him into the Abyss, and shut and sealed it over him, so that he should not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed. After these things it is necessary for him to be released for a little time. ⁴ And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them, and the souls of those having been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who did not worship the beast, nor his image, and did not take the mark upon the forehead, and upon their hand. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

¹⁰ And the devil, the one deceiving them, was cast into the lake of fire and of sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet also are; and they will be tormented day and night to the ages of the ages.

²⁶ For just as the body apart from spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.

⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters saying: “Righteous are You the One being, and having been, O holy One, because You have judged these things,

²⁴ And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all those having been slain on the earth.

²² Therefore having obtained help from God unto this day, I have stood bearing witness both to small and to great, saying nothing other than what both the prophets and Moses said was about to happen:

¹³ For also in one Spirit we all were baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink one Spirit.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

¹⁷ Henceforth, let no one give to me troubles, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.

⁸ knowing that each one, whatever good he might have done, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is slave or free.

¹¹ where there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, slave, and free; but Christ is all and in all.

¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the great ones, and the commanders, and the rich, and the powerful, and every slave and free, hid themselves in the caves, and among the rocks of the mountains.

³ saying, “Do not harm the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees, until we shall have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”

⁹ And another, a third angel, followed them, saying in loud a voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image, and receives a mark on his forehead or upon his hand, ¹⁰ he also will drink of the wine of the anger of God, having been mixed undiluted in the cup of His wrath; and he will be tormented in fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb. ¹¹ And the smoke of their torment goes up to ages of ages; and those worshiping the beast and its image have no rest day and night, and if anyone receives the mark of its name.”

⁵ And a voice came forth from the throne, saying: “Praise our God, all you His servants, and those fearing Him, the small and the great!”

¹⁸ so that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of commanders, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of horses and of those sitting on them, and the flesh of all, both free and slaves, and small and great.”

¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the one of life. And the dead were judged out of the things having been written in the books, according to their deeds.

¹² The one overcoming, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall not go out anymore. And I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from My God, and My new name.

¹⁶ And it causes all the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the servants, that it should give them a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,

¹⁸ Here is the wisdom. The one having understanding, let him count the number of the beast, for it is a man’s number, and its number is six hundred sixty-six.

⁴ And they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.

¹⁴ And when you see the abomination of the desolation, standing where it should not (the one reading, let him understand), then those in Judea, let them flee to the mountains;

⁵ But if our unrighteousness shows God’s righteousness, what shall we say? God, inflicting the wrath, is unrighteous? I speak according to man.

³ Blessed is the one reading, and those hearing the words of the prophecy, and keeping the things having been written in it; for the time is near.

⁹ Here is the mind having wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains, where the woman sits on them;

¹⁷ And he measured its wall, one hundred forty-four cubits, the measure of man, that is of the angel.
