1 And when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany near the Mount of Olives, He sends two of His disciples
2 and says to them, “Go into the village before you, and immediately entering into it, you will find a colt having been tied, upon which no one of men has ever sat; having untied it, also bring it.
3 And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘Because the Lord has need of it, and He will send it back here soon.’”
4 And they departed and found the colt having been tied at the door outside, by the street. And they untied it,
5 and some of those standing there were saying to them, “What are you doing, untying the colt?”
6 And they spoke to them as Jesus had commanded, and they allowed them.
7 And they led the colt to Jesus, and they cast upon it their cloaks, and He sat on it.
8 And many spread their cloaks on the road, and others, branches having been cut down from the fields.
9 And those going before and those following were crying out: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord!”
10 “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father, David!” “Hosanna in the highest!”
11 And He entered into Jerusalem, into the temple; and having looked around on all things, the hour being already late, He went out to Bethany with the Twelve.
12 And on the next day, they having gone out from Bethany, He was hungry.
13 And having seen a fig tree from afar, having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He will find anything on it. And having come to it, He found nothing except leaves; for it was not the season of figs.
14 And answering He said to it, “May no one eat the fruit of you, no more to the age.” And His disciples were listening.
15 And they come to Jerusalem. And having entered into the temple, He began to cast out those selling and those buying in the temple. And He overturned the tables of the money changers, and the seats of those selling doves.
16 And He would not permit that anyone should carry a vessel through the temple.
17 And He began teaching, and was saying to them, “Has it not been written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’”
18 And the chief priests and the scribes heard it, and they were seeking how they might destroy Him. For they were afraid of Him, for the whole crowd was astonished at His teaching.
19 And when evening came, they were going forth out of the city.
20 And passing by in the morning, they saw the fig tree having been dried up from the roots.
21 And Peter having remembered, says to Him, “Rabbi, look, the fig tree that You cursed is dried up.”
22 And Jesus answering, says to them, “Have faith from God.
23 Truly I say to you that whoever shall say to this mountain, ‘Be you taken away and be you cast into the sea,’ and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he says takes place, it will be done for him.
24 Because of this I say to you, all things whatever praying, you also ask, believe that you receive, and it will be to you.
25 And when you may stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive it, so that your Father in the heavens also might forgive you your trespasses.”
26 27 And they come again to Jerusalem. And as He is walking in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders come to Him.
28 And they were saying to Him, “By what authority are You doing these things? Or who gave You this authority, that You should do these things?”
29 And Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one thing, and you answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

31 And they began reasoning with themselves, saying, “What should we say? If we should say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
32 But should we say, ‘From men’...” They were afraid of the people, for all were holding that John truly was a prophet.
33 And answering to Jesus, they say, “We do not know.” And Jesus says to them, “Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

9 And I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.
10 For everyone asking receives; and the one seeking finds; and to the one knocking, it will be opened.
11 And which father among you, if the son will ask for a fish, and instead of a fish, will give to him a serpent?
12 Or also if he will ask for an egg, will he give to him a scorpion?
13 Therefore if you, being evil, know to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father who is in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those asking Him!”
Luke 18:1-8
1 And He was speaking to them a parable about the way it behooves them always to pray and not to lose heart,
2 saying, “In a certain city, there was a certain judge, not fearing God, and not respecting man.
3 And there was a widow in that city, and she was coming to him, saying, ‘Avenge me of my adversary.’
4 And for a time he would not, but afterward he said within himself, ‘Even if I do not fear God, nor respect man,
5 yet because this widow causes me trouble, I will avenge her, so that in the end she does not exhaust me, coming to me.’”
6 And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says.
7 And shall not God execute the avenging of His elect, the ones crying out to Him day and night, and be deferring in regard to them?
8 I say to you that He will execute their avenging in quickness. Nevertheless, the Son of Man having come, will He find faith on the earth?”
John 16:23-27
23 And in that day, you will ask of Me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you may ask the Father in My name, He will give you.
24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
25 I have spoken these things to you in allegories; an hour is coming when I will speak to you no more in allegories, but I will report to you plainly concerning the Father.
26 In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will implore the Father for you.
27 For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from God.
James 5:15-18
15 And the prayer of faith will save the one ailing, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he might be one having committed sins, it will be forgiven him.
16 Therefore confess the sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man being made effective prevails much.
17 Elijah was a man of like nature to us, and with fervent prayer he prayed for it not to rain, and it did not rain upon the earth three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

Matthew 18:23-35
23 Because of this, the kingdom of the heavens has become like to a man, a king, who desired to settle accounts with his servants.
24 And he having begun to settle, one was brought to him, a debtor of ten thousand talents.
25 And of him having nothing to pay, the master commanded him to be sold, and the wife and children, and everything that he had, and payment to be made.
26 Therefore the servant, having fallen down, was bowing on his knees to him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay everything to you.’
27 And the master of that servant having been moved with compassion, released him and forgave him the debt.
28 But the same servant having gone out, found one of his fellow servants who was owing him a hundred denarii, and having seized him, he was throttling him, saying, ‘Pay what you owe.’
29 Therefore his fellow servant having fallen down, was begging him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you.’
30 But he was not willing. Rather, having gone, he cast him into prison until he should pay what was owed.
31 Therefore his fellow servants having seen the things having taken place, were deeply grieved, and having gone, narrated to their master everything having taken place.
32 Then his master having called him, says to him, ‘Evil servant, I forgave you all that debt because you begged me.
33 Did it not behoove you also to have pitied your fellow servant, as I also had pitied you?’
34 And having been angry, his master delivered him to the jailers, until that he should pay all being owed to him.
35 Thus also My Heavenly Father will do to you, unless each of you forgives his brother from your heart.”

23 And of Him having come into the temple, teaching, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to Him, saying, “By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave to You this authority?”
24 And Jesus answering, said to them, “I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell Me, I also will say to you by what authority I do these things.
25 From where was the baptism of John? From heaven, or from men?” And they were reasoning with themselves, saying, “If we should say, ‘from heaven,’ He will say to us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
26 But if we should say, ‘from men,’ we fear the multitude; for all hold John as a prophet.”
27 And answering Jesus, they said “We do not know.” And He said to them, “Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

3 And answering, He said to them, “I also will ask you one thing, and you tell Me:
4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?”
5 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “If we should say ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Why did you not believe him?’
6 But if we should say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are having been persuaded John to be a prophet.”
7 And they answered, they did not know from where.

Matthew 3:1-17
1 Now in those days John the Baptist comes, preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.”
3 For this is the one having been spoken of through the prophet Isaiah, saying, “A voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight His paths.’”
4 And John himself had his garment of camel’s hair, and a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locusts and wild honey.
5 At that time were going out to him Jerusalem, and all Judea, and all the region around the Jordan,
6 and confessing their sins, were being baptized by him in the Jordan River.
7 But having seen many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
8 Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance.
9 And do not presume to say within yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as father.’ For I say to you that out of these stones God is able to raise up children unto Abraham.
10 Already now the ax is applied to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but after me is coming He who is mightier than I, of whom I am not worthy to carry the sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire,
12 whose winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will clear His threshing floor and will gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
13 Then Jesus comes from Galilee to the Jordan, unto John, to be baptized by him.
14 But John was hindering Him, saying, “I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?”
15 But Jesus answering, said unto him, “Permit it presently; for thus it is fitting to us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he permits Him.
16 And immediately, having been baptized, Jesus went up from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and alighting upon Him.
17 And behold, a voice out of the heavens, saying, “This is my Son, the beloved, in whom I was well pleased.”
Mark 1:1-11
1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, Son of God.
2 As it has been written in the prophet Isaiah: “Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way.”
3 “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight His paths.’”
4 John came baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.
5 And all the region of Judea and all of Jerusalem were going out to him and were being baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.
6 And John was clothed in camel’s hair and a belt of leather around his waist; and he is eating locusts and wild honey.
7 And he was preaching, saying, “He who comes after me is mightier than I, of whom I am not sufficient, having stooped down, to untie the strap of His sandals.
8 I baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
9 And it came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized in the Jordan by John.
10 And immediately going up from the water, he saw the heavens tearing open and the Spirit descending as a dove upon Him.
11 And a voice came out of the heavens: “You are My Son, the beloved; in You I am well pleased.”
Mark 9:13
13 But I say to you, that also Elijah has come, and they did to him whatever they desired, as it has been written of him.”
Luke 3:1-20
1 And in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip being tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and of Trachonitis, and Lysanias being tetrarch of Abilene,
2 during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came upon John son of Zechariah in the wilderness.
3 And he went into all the region surrounding the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins,
4 as it has been written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.’
5 Every valley will be filled, and every mountain and hill will be made low; and the crooked will become into straight, and the rough ways into smooth.
6 And all flesh will see the salvation of God.”
7 So he was saying to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “Offspring of vipers, who forewarned you to flee from the coming wrath?
8 Therefore produce fruits worthy of repentance. And do not begin to say in yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
9 And already also the ax is applied to the root of the trees; therefore every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and is thrown into the fire.”
10 And the crowds were asking him, saying, “What then shall we do?”
11 And answering, he was saying to them, “The one having two tunics, let him impart to the one having none; and the one having food, let him do likewise.”
12 And tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, “Teacher, what shall we do?”
13 And he said to them, “Collect nothing more beyond that having been appointed to you.”
14 And those being soldiers also were asking him, saying, “And what shall we do?” And he said to them, “Extort no one, nor accuse falsely, and be content with your wages.”
15 And the people are expecting and all wondering in their hearts concerning John, whether he might be the Christ.
16 John answered all saying, “I indeed baptize you with water, but the One mightier than I comes, of whom I am not worthy to untie the strap of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire,
17 of whom the winnowing fork is in His hand to clear His threshing floor, and to gather the wheat into His barn. But He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
18 Therefore indeed exhorting many other things, he was preaching the good news to the people.
19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him concerning Herodias the wife of his brother, and concerning all the evils that Herod had done,
20 added this yet to all: He also locked up John in prison.

John 1:15-36
15 John witnesses concerning Him, and he cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I was saying, ‘The One coming after me has precedence over me, because He was before me.’”
16 For from His fullness, we have all received and grace upon grace.
17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 No one has ever yet seen God. The only begotten God, the One being in the bosom of the Father, He has made Him known.
19 And this is the testimony of John when the Jews sent to him priests and Levites from Jerusalem, that they might ask him, “Who are you?”
20 And he confessed and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.”
21 And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” And he says, “I am not.” “Are you the prophet?” And he answered, “No.”
22 Therefore they said to him, “Who are you, that we might give an answer to those having sent us? What do you say about yourself?”
23 He was saying, “I am a voice crying in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’” as Isaiah the prophet said.
24 And those having been sent were of the Pharisees,
25 and they asked him and said to him, “Why then do you baptize, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?”
26 John answered them saying, “I baptize with water, but in the midst of you stands One whom you do not know,
27 the One coming after me, of whom am I not worthy that I should untie the strap of His sandal.”
28 These things took place in Bethany, across the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29 On the next day, he sees Jesus coming to him and says, “Behold the Lamb of God, the One taking away the sin of the world.
30 This is He concerning whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who has precedence over me, because He was before me.’
31 And I did not know Him. But so that He might be revealed to Israel, because of this, I came baptizing with water.”
32 And John bore witness saying, “I have beheld the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and it remained upon Him.
33 And I did not know Him; but the One having sent me to baptize with water, He said to me, ‘Upon whom you shall see the Spirit descending and abiding on Him, He is the One baptizing with the Holy Spirit.’
34 And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.”
35 On the next day John again was standing, and two of his disciples.
36 And having looked at Jesus walking, he says, “Behold the Lamb of God!”
John 3:25-36
25 Then a debate arose among the disciples of John with a certain Jew about purification.
26 And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have borne witness, behold He baptizes, and all are coming to Him.”
27 John answered and said, “A man is able to receive not one thing if it is not given to him from heaven.
28 You yourselves bear witness to me that I said, ‘I am not the Christ, but I am sent before Him.’
29 The one having the bride is the bridegroom; and the friend of the bridegroom, the one standing and listening for him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore, this joy of mine is fulfilled.
30 It behooves Him to increase, but me to decrease.
31 The One coming from above is above all. The one being from the earth is from the earth, and speaks from the earth. The One coming from heaven is above all.
32 What He has seen and heard, this He testifies, but no one receives His testimony.
33 The one having received His testimony has set his seal that God is true.
34 For He whom God sent speaks the words of God, for He gives the Spirit without measure.
35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.
36 The one believing in the Son has eternal life, but the one not obeying the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
Matthew 11:7-14
7 And as these were going away, Jesus began to speak to the crowds concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
8 But what did you go out to see? A man having been dressed in delicate clothing? Behold, those wearing delicate clothing are in kings’ houses.
9 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and one more excellent than a prophet.
10 For this is he about whom it has been written: ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You.’
11 Truly I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the least in the kingdom of the heavens is greater than he!
12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of the heavens is taken by violence and the violent seize it.
13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
14 And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah, the one being about to come.
Matthew 21:31-32
31 Which of the two did the will of the father?” They say, “The first.” Jesus says to them, “Truly I say to you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes go before you into the kingdom of God.
32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him; and you having seen, did not even repent afterward to believe him.

18 And you say, ‘Whoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gift that is upon it is bound by his oath.’
19 Blind! For which is greater, the gift, or the altar sanctifying the gift?

Luke 10:21-22
21 In the same hour, He rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I fully consent to You, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for thus was it well-pleasing before You.
