Matthew 8:5-13

5 And He having entered into Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, imploring Him, 6 and saying, “Lord, my servant is lying in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented.” 7 And He says to him, “I having come, will heal him.” 8 But the centurion answering, said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof; but just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” 10 And Jesus having heard, marveled and said to those following, “Truly I say to you, no one in Israel with faith so great have I found. 11 And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and will recline with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens. 12 But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.” 13 And Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! As you have believed, be it to you.” And his servant was healed in that very hour.

Luke 7:1-10

1 And when He had completed all His words in the hearing of the people, He entered into Capernaum. 2 And a certain servant of a centurion, who was valued highly to him, being sick, was about to die. 3 And having heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, begging Him that having come, He might save his servant. 4 And having come to Jesus, they were begging Him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy to whom You will grant this, 5 for he loves our nation, and he built the synagogue for us.” 6 And Jesus was going with them. And already, He being not far distant from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. 7 Therefore neither did I count myself worthy to come to You; but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. 8 For I also am a man appointed under authority, having soldiers under me; and I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” 9 And Jesus having heard these things, marveled at him; and having turned to the crowd following Him, He said, “I say to you, not even in Israel did I find such great faith.” 10 And having returned to the house, those having been sent found the servant in good health.
