1 And it came to pass on one of the days He was teaching the people in the temple and proclaiming the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came up with the elders,
2 and spoke to Him, saying, “Tell us by what authority You do these things, or who is the one having given to You this authority?”
3 And answering, He said to them, “I also will ask you one thing, and you tell Me:
4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?”
5 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “If we should say ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Why did you not believe him?’
6 But if we should say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are having been persuaded John to be a prophet.”
7 And they answered, they did not know from where.
8 And Jesus said to them, “Neither do I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”
9 And He began to speak to the people this parable: “A certain man planted a vineyard, and rented it to farmers, and went abroad a long time.
10 And in the season, he sent a servant to the farmers, that they will give to him from the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers sent him away empty-handed, having beaten him.
11 And he proceeded to send another servant; but having beaten him and having dishonored him, they sent him away empty-handed.
12 And he proceeded to send a third; and having wounded him also, they cast him out.
13 Then the master of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps they will respect him.’
14 And having seen him, the farmers began reasoning among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir; let us kill him, so that the inheritance might become ours.’
15 And having cast him forth outside the vineyard, they killed him. What therefore will the master of the vineyard do to them?
16 He will come and will destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.” And having heard it, they said, “Never may it be!”
17 But having looked at them, He said, “What then is this that has been written: ‘The stone which those building rejected, this has become into the head of the corner’?
18 Everyone falling on that stone will be broken, but on whomever it might fall, it will grind him into powder.”
19 And the scribes and the chief priests sought to lay hands on Him in that hour, and they feared the people. For they perceived that He was speaking this parable against them.
20 And having watched Him, they sent spies, feigning themselves to be righteous, that they might catch Him in His word, in order to deliver Him to the rule and to the authority of the governor.
21 And they questioned Him, saying, “Teacher, we know that You speak and teach rightly, and do not receive any person, but teach the way of God on the basis of truth.
22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar, or not?”
23 But having perceived their craftiness, He said to them,
24 “Show Me a denarius. Whose image and inscription does it have?” And they said, “Caesar’s.”
25 And He said to them, “Therefore give back to Caesar the things of Caesar, and to God the things of God.”
26 And they were not able to catch Him in His word before the people. And having marveled at His answer, they became silent.
27 And some of the Sadducees, the ones denying there is a resurrection, having approached, questioned Him,
28 saying, “Teacher, Moses wrote to us if anyone’s brother should die having a wife, and he is childless, that his brother should take the wife and should raise up seed to his brother.
29 Therefore there were seven brothers. And the first, having taken a wife, died childless;
30 and the second
31 and the third took her; and likewise also the seven did not leave children and died.
32 Finally the woman also died.
33 Therefore in the resurrection, the woman, whose wife does she become? For the seven had her as wife.”
34 And Jesus said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage.
35 But those having been considered worthy to obtain that which is to the age, and the resurrection which is from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage.
36 For neither are they able to die any more, for they are like the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
37 But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he calls the Lord ‘the God of Abraham, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob.’
38 Now He is not God of the dead, but of the living; for all live to Him.”
39 And some of the scribes answering, said, “Teacher, you have spoken well.”
40 And no longer did they dare to ask Him anything.
41 And He said to them, “How do they declare the Christ to be Son of David?
42 For David himself says in the book of Psalms: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand,
43 until I place Your enemies, as a footstool of Your feet.”’
44 David therefore calls Him Lord, and how is He his son?”
45 While all the people were listening, He said to His disciples,
46 “Beware of the scribes, desiring to walk in long robes, and loving greetings in the marketplaces and first seats in the synagogues and first places in the banquets,
47 who devour the houses of widows, and pray at great length as a pretext. These will receive more abundant condemnation.”

35 And the farmers having taken his servants, one they beat, and one they killed, and one they stoned.

1 I am the true vine and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch not bearing fruit in Me, He takes it away; and every one bearing fruit, He prunes it that it may bear more fruit.
3 Already you are clean by reason of the word that I have spoken to you.
4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch is not able to bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither you, unless you abide in Me.
5 I am the vine; you are the branches. The one abiding in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit. For apart from Me you are able to do nothing.
6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown out like the branch and is dried up, and they gather them and cast them into the fire, and it is burned.
7 If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you wish, and to you it will come to pass.

13 By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us: because He has given to us from out of His Spirit.
14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.
15 Whoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
Matthew 2:2-16
2 saying, “Where is the One having been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”
3 And King Herod having heard this, was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And having assembled all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he was inquiring of them where the Christ was to be born.
5 And they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus has it been written through the prophet:
6 ‘And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah, for out of you will come forth One leading, who will shepherd My people Israel.’”
7 Then Herod, having called the Magi secretly, inquired of them the exact time of the star appearing.
8 And having sent them to Bethlehem, he said, “Having gone, search carefully for the Child; and when You shall have found Him, bring word back to me, so that I also having come, may worship Him.”
9 And having heard the king, they departed. And behold, the star they had seen in the east went before them until, having arrived, it stood over the place where the Child was.
10 And having seen the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
11 And having come into the house, they found the Child with His mother Mary, and having fallen down, they worshiped Him. And having opened their treasures, they offered to Him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.
12 And having been divinely warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they withdrew into their own country by another route.
13 And of them having withdrawn, behold, an angel of the Lord appears to Joseph in a dream saying, “Having arisen, take the Child and His mother, and flee into Egypt, and remain there until I should tell you, for Herod is about to seek the Child to destroy Him.”
14 And having arisen, he took the Child and His mother by night and withdrew into Egypt,
15 and there he remained until the death of Herod, so that it might be fulfilled what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I have called my Son.”
16 Then Herod, having seen that he had been outwitted by the Magi, was intensely enraged. And having sent forth, he put to death all the boys in Bethlehem and in all its vicinity from two years old and under, according to the time he had ascertained from the Magi.

24 And Pilate having seen that it availed nothing, but rather a riot is arising, having taken water, washed the hands before the crowd, saying, “I am guiltless of the blood of this man. For yourselves you will see.”

49 But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest the same year, said to them, “You know nothing at all,

26 Likewise also the second, and the third, unto the seventh.
27 And last of all, the woman died.
28 In the resurrection, therefore, of which of the seven will she be wife? For all had her.”

24 Jesus was saying to them, “Do you not err because of this, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God?
25 For when they rise out from the dead, neither do they marry, nor are given in marriage; but they are like angels in the heavens.
26 And concerning the dead, that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses on the bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?

1 Corinthians 7:2-16
2 But because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have the own husband.
3 Let the husband fulfill the duty to the wife, and likewise also the wife to the husband.
4 The wife does not have authority over the own body, but the husband; and likewise also, the husband does not have authority over the own body, but the wife.
5 Do not deprive one another, except by mutual agreement, for a time, that you might be at leisure for prayer; and be together the same again, so that Satan may not tempt you through your lack of self-control.
6 Now I say this by way of concession, not by way of command.
7 And I wish all men to be even like myself. But each has his own gift from God; for one has this, but one that.
8 Now I say to the unmarried and to the widows, it is good for them if they should remain as even I.
9 But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
10 Now to those having married I give this charge (not I, but the Lord): A wife is not to be separated from a husband.
11 But if indeed she is separated, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to the husband; and a husband is not to send away a wife.
12 Now to the rest I say (I, not the Lord): If any brother has an unbelieving wife and she consents to dwell with him, let him not divorce her.
13 And if any woman has an unbelieving husband, and he consents to dwell with her, let her not divorce the husband.
14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband. Otherwise, your children are unclean; but now they are holy.
15 But if the unbeliever separates himself, let him separate himself. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases. But God has called you into peace.
16 For how do you know, wife, if you will save the husband? Or how do you know, husband, if you will save the wife?

Romans 8:17-23
17 and if children, also heirs: heirs indeed of God, and joint-heirs of Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, so that we may also be glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are not comparable to the coming glory to be revealed to us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creation awaits the revelation of the sons of God.
20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of the One having subjected it, in hope
21 that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of decay, into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groans together and travails together until now.
23 And not only so, but we ourselves, even having the firstfruit of the Spirit, also groan ourselves in ourselves, awaiting divine adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.
1 Corinthians 15:26
26 The last enemy to be abolished is death.
1 Corinthians 15:42

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
1 Corinthians 15:52-54
52 in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
53 For it behooves this, the perishable to put on the imperishable; and this, the mortal to put on immortality.
54 Now when this the perishable shall have put on the imperishable, and this, the mortal, shall have put on immortality, then the word having been written will come to pass: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17
13 But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those having fallen asleep, so that you should not be grieved, just as also the rest, those having no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those having fallen asleep.
15 For this we declare to you in the word of the Lord, that we the living, remaining unto the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those having fallen asleep,
16 because the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we, the living remaining, will be caught away together with them in the clouds for the meeting of the Lord in the air; and so we will be always with the Lord.
1 John 3:1-2
1 Behold what love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God—and we are! Because of this, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.
Revelation 5:6-14
6 And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God having been sent out into all the earth.
7 And He came and took it out of the right hand of the One sitting on the throne.
8 And when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls being full of incenses, which are the prayers of the saints.
9 And they are singing a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain, and You purchased to God by Your blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
10 and You have made them a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.”
11 And I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, and of the living creatures, and of the elders; and their number was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands,
12 saying in a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb having been slain, to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
13 And I heard every creature which is in heaven, and upon the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and everything in them, saying: “To the One sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb, blessing and honor and glory and might to the ages of the ages.”
14 And the four living creatures kept saying, “Amen.” And the elders fell down and worshiped.
Revelation 7:9-12
9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no one was able to number it, out of every nation, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, having been clothed with white robes, and palm branches in their hands.
10 And they were crying out in a loud voice, saying: “Salvation to our God, the One sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
11 And all the angels stood around the throne, and the elders, and the four living creatures, and they fell upon their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
12 saying, “Amen! Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and strength, to our God, to the ages of the ages! Amen.”

2 In the middle of its street and of the river, on this side and on that side, was a tree of life, producing twelve fruits, yielding its fruit according to each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
3 And there will not be any curse any longer. And the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His servants will serve Him.
4 And they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
5 And there will be no night there, and they have no need of the light of a lamp and of the light of the sun, because the Lord God will enlighten upon them, and they will reign to the ages of the ages.

4 Again he sent other servants, saying, ‘Say to those having been invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My oxen and the fatlings have been killed, and all things are ready; come to the wedding feast.”’
5 And having paid no attention they went away, one to the own field, and one to his business.
6 And the rest, having laid hold of his servants, mistreated and killed them.
7 And the king was angry, and having sent his armies, he destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Then he says to his servants, ‘Indeed the wedding feast is ready, but those having been invited were not worthy.
9 Therefore go into the thoroughfares of the highways, and invite to the wedding feast as many as you shall find.’
10 And those servants, having gone out into the highways, brought together all, as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding hall became full of those reclining.
11 And the king having entered in to see those reclining, he beheld a man there not being dressed in wedding clothes.
12 And he says to him, ‘Friend, how did you enter here not having a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.
13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Having bound his hands and feet, cast him out into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.’
14 For many are called, but few chosen.”
15 Then the Pharisees having gone out, took counsel how they might trap Him in His words.
16 And they send their disciples to Him, with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and You teach the way of God in the truth, and to You there is care about no one, for You do not look on the appearance of men.
17 Therefore tell us, what do You think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?”
18 But having known their malice, Jesus said, “Hypocrites, why do you test Me?
19 Show Me the coin of the tribute.” And they presented to Him a denarius.
20 And He says to them, “Whose likeness and whose inscription is this?”
21 They say to Him, “Caesar’s.” Then He says to them, “Therefore give back to Caesar the things of Caesar, and to God the things of God.”
22 And having heard, they marveled. And having left Him, they went away.

32 ‘I am the God of your Fathers, the God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob.’ And Moses, having become terrified, did not dare to look.

9 For unto this, Christ died and lived again that He might rule over both the dead and living.

35 And one of them, a lawyer, questioned Him, testing Him,
36 “Teacher, which commandment is the greatest in the Law?”
37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

30 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’
31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is not another commandment greater than these.”
32 And the scribe said to Him, “Right, Teacher. You have spoken according to truth that He is One, and there is not another besides Him,
33 and to love Him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love the neighbor as oneself is more important than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
34 And Jesus, having seen him that he answered wisely, said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And no one dared to question Him any longer.

20 And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet, the one having done the signs before him, by which he deceived those having received the mark of the beast and those worshiping its image. The two were cast living into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
