¹ Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread quickly and may be glorified, just as also with you,

³⁸ Beseech the Lord of the harvest, therefore, that He might send out workmen into His harvest.”

² And He was saying to them, “The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the workmen are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest, that He may send out workmen into His harvest.

⁷ And the word of God continued to increase, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem was multiplied exceedingly, and a great multitude of the priests were becoming obedient to the faith.

²⁴ But the word of God continued to grow and to multiply.

⁴⁸ And the Gentiles hearing it were rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed. ⁴⁹ And the word of the Lord was carried through the whole region.

²⁰ Thus the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail with might.

³⁰ Now I exhort you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in the prayers for me to God,

⁹ For a great and productive door has opened to me, and many are opposing.

¹¹ of you also joining together for us by supplication, so that thanks may be given for us by many persons for the grace bestowed toward us through many.

¹⁹ and also for me, that in the opening of my mouth, divine utterance may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, ²⁰ for which I am an ambassador in a chain, that in it I may be bold, as it behooves me to speak.

³ praying at the same time also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which also I have been bound,

⁵ because our gospel came to you not in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit, and with much full assurance, just as you know what we were among you on account of you.

⁸ For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and in Achaia, but in every place your faith toward God has gone abroad, so as for us to have no need to say anything.

¹ For you yourselves know, brothers, that our coming to you has not been in vain.

¹³ And because of this, we also give thanks to God unceasingly that, having received the word of God by your hearing from us, you accepted not the word of men, but even as truly it is, the word of God, which also works in you who believe.

¹ Finally then, brothers, we implore and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that just as you have received from us in what manner it behooves you to walk and to please God, just as even you walk now, so you should abound more.

¹⁷ Pray unceasingly.

²⁵ Brothers, pray also for us.

⁹ in which I suffer hardship even to chains as an evildoer. But the word of God is not bound!

¹⁸ Pray for us, for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves well in all things. ¹⁹ And more abundantly I exhort you to do this, so that I may be restored to you more quickly.
