³² so that having come to you in joy, by the will of God I may be refreshed with you.

⁶ But God, the One comforting the downcast, encouraged us by the coming of Titus, ⁷ and not only by his coming, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted as to you, relating to us your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so as for me to rejoice the more.

¹³ On account of this, we have been comforted. And besides our comfort, we have rejoiced the more abundantly rather at the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by all of you.

²⁸ Therefore I have sent him all the more eagerly, that having seen him again, you may rejoice, and I might be less anxious. ²⁹ Therefore, receive him in the Lord with all joy, and hold such in honor,

⁸ whom I sent to you for this very purpose, that you might know the things concerning us, and he may encourage your hearts,

⁶ But presently, Timothy having come to us from you and having brought good news to us of your faith and love, and that always you have a good remembrance of us, longing to see us just as also we you, ⁷ because of this, brothers, we were encouraged as to you in all our distress and tribulation, through your faith.

¹² But we implore you, brothers, to appreciate those toiling among you, and taking the lead over you in the Lord, and admonishing you,

⁷ For I have great joy and encouragement by occasion of your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

²⁰ Yes, brother, may I have profit from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in Christ.

⁷ Remember those leading you, who spoke the word of God to you, of whom, considering the outcome of their way of life, you are to imitate the faith.

⁴ I have no greater joy than these things, that I should hear of my children walking in the truth.

¹¹ Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one doing good is of God; the one doing evil has not seen God. ¹² Witness has been given to Demetrius by all, and by the truth itself; and we also bear witness, and you know that our testimony is true.
