¹ Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have directed the churches of Galatia, so also you are to do.

¹³ But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many concerning this man, how many evils he did to Your saints in Jerusalem.

⁴¹ And having given her his hand, he raised her up. And having called the saints and the widows, he presented her living.

²⁸ And one of them named Agabus, having risen up, signified by the Spirit that a great famine is about to be over the whole world—which came to pass under Claudius.

³⁰ which also they did, having sent it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.

⁶ And having passed through Phrygia and the Galatian region, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia,

²³ And having stayed some time, he went forth, passing successively through the Galatian region and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.

¹⁷ Now after many years, I arrived to bring alms to my nation, and offerings,

¹³ contributing to the needs of the saints, pursuing hospitality.

²⁵ But now I am going to Jerusalem, ministering to the saints. ²⁶ For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.

¹ Now we make known to you, brothers, the grace of God having been bestowed among the churches of Macedonia, ² that in much proof of tribulation, the abundance of their joy and of their deep poverty abounded into the riches of their generosity. ³ For I testify that according to their ability and beyond their ability, they were willing of themselves, ⁴ imploring of us with much entreaty for the grace and the fellowship of the service among the saints. ⁵ And not only as we had hoped, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us, by the will of God. ⁶ Accordingly, we exhorted Titus that as he had begun, so also he might complete with you this grace as well. ⁷ But even as you abound in every way—in faith, and speech, and knowledge, and all earnestness, and in the love from us to you—that also you should abound in this grace. ⁸ I do not speak as a command, but proving the genuineness of your love through the earnestness of others also. ⁹ For you know the grace our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich, for the sake of you He became poor, so that you through His poverty might be enriched.

¹² For the ministry of this service is not only completely filling up the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God, ¹³ through the proof of this service, glorifying God at your submission of confession to the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of the participation toward them and toward all. ¹⁴ And their supplication is for you, longing for you on account of the surpassing grace of God upon you. ¹⁵ Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

² and all the brothers with me, To the churches of Galatia:

¹⁰ only that we should be mindful of the poor, also the same thing that I was eager to do.

⁵ hearing of your love and the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,

⁷ For I have great joy and encouragement by occasion of your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

¹⁰ For God is not unjust to forget your work and the love that you have shown toward His name, having ministered to the saints, and still ministering.

¹⁷ Now whoever might have the world’s goods, and might see his brother having need, and might close up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
