⁴ Καὶ (And) ἐξῆλθεν (went forth) ἄλλος (another) ἵππος (horse) πυρρός (bright red); καὶ (and) τῷ (to the one) καθημένῳ (sitting) ἐπ’ (on) αὐτὸν (it) ἐδόθη (was granted) αὐτῷ (to him) λαβεῖν (to take) τὴν (the) εἰρήνην (peace) ἐκ (from) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth), καὶ (and) ἵνα (that) ἀλλήλους (one another) σφάξουσιν (they will slay); καὶ (and) ἐδόθη (was given) αὐτῷ (to him) μάχαιρα (a sword) μεγάλη (great).

³⁴ Μὴ (Not) νομίσητε (think) ὅτι (that) ἦλθον (I came) βαλεῖν (to bring) εἰρήνην (peace) ἐπὶ (to) τὴν (the) γῆν (earth); οὐκ (not) ἦλθον (I came) βαλεῖν (to bring) εἰρήνην (peace), ἀλλὰ (but) μάχαιραν (a sword).

¹¹ Ἀπεκρίθη (Answered) ‹αὐτῷ› (him) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), “Οὐκ (Not) εἶχες (you would have) ἐξουσίαν (authority) κατ’ (also) ἐμοῦ (Me) οὐδεμίαν (against), εἰ (if) μὴ (not) ἦν (it were) δεδομένον (given) σοι (to you) ἄνωθεν (from above). διὰ (Because of) τοῦτο (this), ὁ (the one) παραδούς (having delivered up) μέ (Me) σοι (to you), μείζονα (greater) ἁμαρτίαν (sin) ἔχει (has).”

³ Καὶ (And) ὤφθη (was seen) ἄλλο (another) σημεῖον (sign) ἐν (in) τῷ (-) οὐρανῷ (heaven), καὶ (and) ἰδοὺ (behold), δράκων (a dragon) πυρρός (red) μέγας (great), ἔχων (having) κεφαλὰς (heads) ἑπτὰ (seven), καὶ (and) κέρατα (horns) δέκα (ten), καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (upon) τὰς (the) κεφαλὰς (heads) αὐτοῦ (of him), ἑπτὰ (seven) διαδήματα (royal crowns).

¹⁰ “Εἴ (If) τις (anyone is to go) εἰς (into) αἰχμαλωσίαν (captivity), εἰς (into) αἰχμαλωσίαν (captivity) ὑπάγει (he goes); εἴ (If) τις (anyone) ἐν (with) μαχαίρῃ (the sword) ἀποκτανθῆναι* (is to be killed), 〈δεῖ〉 (it is necessary for) αὐτὸν (him) ἐν (by) μαχαίρῃ (the sword) ἀποκτανθῆναι (to be killed).” Ὧδέ (Here) ἐστιν (is) ἡ (the) ὑπομονὴ (endurance) καὶ (and) ἡ (the) πίστις (faith) τῶν (of the) ἁγίων (saints).

³ Καὶ (And) ἀπήνεγκέν (he carried away) με (me) εἰς (into) ἔρημον (a wilderness) ἐν (in) Πνεύματι (the Spirit), καὶ (and) εἶδον (I saw) γυναῖκα (a woman) καθημένην (sitting) ἐπὶ (upon) θηρίον (a beast) κόκκινον (scarlet), γέμοντα (being full) ὀνόματα (of names) βλασφημίας (of blasphemy), ἔχων (having) κεφαλὰς (heads) ἑπτὰ (seven) καὶ (and) κέρατα (horns) δέκα (ten).

⁶ Καὶ (And) εἶδον (I saw) τὴν (the) γυναῖκα (woman) μεθύουσαν (being drunk) ἐκ (with) τοῦ (the) αἵματος (blood) τῶν (of the) ἁγίων (saints), καὶ (and) ἐκ (with) τοῦ (the) αἵματος (blood) τῶν (of the) μαρτύρων (witnesses) Ἰησοῦ (of Jesus). Καὶ (And) ἐθαύμασα (I marveled), ἰδὼν (having seen) αὐτὴν (her), θαῦμα (with wonder) μέγα (great).
