³⁰ καὶ (And) ἐγένετο (it came to pass) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) κατακλιθῆναι (reclining) αὐτὸν (of Him) μετ’ (with) αὐτῶν (them), λαβὼν (having taken) τὸν (the) ἄρτον (bread) εὐλόγησεν (He blessed it), καὶ (and) κλάσας (having broken it), ἐπεδίδου (He began giving it) αὐτοῖς (to them).

¹⁹ καὶ (And) κελεύσας (having commanded) τοὺς (the) ὄχλους (crowds) ἀνακλιθῆναι (to sit down) ἐπὶ (on) τοῦ (the) χόρτου (grass), λαβὼν (having taken) τοὺς (the) πέντε (five) ἄρτους (loaves) καὶ (and) τοὺς (the) δύο (two) ἰχθύας (fish), ἀναβλέψας (having looked up) εἰς (to) τὸν (-) οὐρανὸν (heaven), εὐλόγησεν (He spoke a blessing); καὶ (and) κλάσας (having broken), ἔδωκεν (He gave) τοῖς (to the) μαθηταῖς (disciples) τοὺς (the) ἄρτους (loaves), οἱ (-) δὲ (and) μαθηταὶ (the disciples) τοῖς (to the) ὄχλοις (crowds).

³⁶ ἔλαβεν (having taken) τοὺς (the) ἑπτὰ (seven) ἄρτους (loaves) καὶ (and) τοὺς (the) ἰχθύας (fish), καὶ (and) εὐχαριστήσας (having given thanks), ἔκλασεν (He broke them) καὶ (and) ἐδίδου (was giving) τοῖς (to) μαθηταῖς (disciples), οἱ (-) δὲ (and the) μαθηταὶ (disciples) τοῖς (to the) ὄχλοις (crowd).

²⁶ Ἐσθιόντων (As they were eating) δὲ (now) αὐτῶν (of them), λαβὼν (having taken) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) ἄρτον (bread), καὶ (and) εὐλογήσας (having blessed), ἔκλασεν (broke it), καὶ (and) δοὺς (having given) τοῖς (to the) μαθηταῖς (disciples), εἶπεν (He said), “Λάβετε (Take), φάγετε (eat); τοῦτό (this) ἐστιν (is) τὸ (the) σῶμά (body) μου (of Me).”

⁴¹ Καὶ (And) λαβὼν (having taken) τοὺς (the) πέντε (five) ἄρτους (loaves) καὶ (and) τοὺς (the) δύο (two) ἰχθύας (fish), ἀναβλέψας (having looked up) εἰς (to) τὸν (the) οὐρανὸν (heaven), εὐλόγησεν (He blessed) καὶ (and) κατέκλασεν (broke) τοὺς (the) ἄρτους (loaves), καὶ (and) ἐδίδου (He kept giving them) τοῖς (to the) μαθηταῖς (disciples) ‹αὐτοῦ› (of Him) ἵνα (that) παρατιθῶσιν (they might set before) αὐτοῖς (them). καὶ (And) τοὺς (the) δύο (two) ἰχθύας (fish) ἐμέρισεν (He divided) πᾶσιν (among all).

⁶ Καὶ (And) παραγγέλλει (He directs) τῷ (the) ὄχλῳ (crowd) ἀναπεσεῖν (to recline) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) γῆς (ground). καὶ (And) λαβὼν (having taken) τοὺς (the) ἑπτὰ (seven) ἄρτους (loaves), εὐχαριστήσας (having given thanks), ἔκλασεν (He broke them) καὶ (and) ἐδίδου (kept giving them) τοῖς (to) μαθηταῖς (disciples) αὐτοῦ (of Him), ἵνα (that) παρατιθῶσιν (they might set before them). καὶ (And) παρέθηκαν (they set it before) τῷ (the) ὄχλῳ (crowd).

²² Καὶ (And) ἐσθιόντων (they were eating) αὐτῶν (of them), λαβὼν (having taken) ἄρτον (bread), εὐλογήσας (having spoken a blessing), ἔκλασεν (He broke), καὶ (and) ἔδωκεν (gave) αὐτοῖς (to them), καὶ (and) εἶπεν (said), “Λάβετε (Take); τοῦτό (this) ἐστιν (is) τὸ (the) σῶμά (body) μου (of Me).”

¹⁶ Λαβὼν (Having taken) δὲ (then) τοὺς (the) πέντε (five) ἄρτους (loaves) καὶ (and) τοὺς (the) δύο (two) ἰχθύας (fish), ἀναβλέψας (having looked up) εἰς (to) τὸν (the) οὐρανὸν (heaven), εὐλόγησεν (He blessed) αὐτοὺς (them) καὶ (and) κατέκλασεν (broke them), καὶ (and) ἐδίδου (He kept giving them) τοῖς (to the) μαθηταῖς (disciples) παραθεῖναι (to set before) τῷ (the) ὄχλῳ (crowd).

¹⁹ Καὶ (And) λαβὼν (having taken) ἄρτον (the bread), εὐχαριστήσας (having given thanks), ἔκλασεν (He broke it) καὶ (and) ἔδωκεν (gave) αὐτοῖς (to them), λέγων (saying), “Τοῦτό (This) ἐστιν (is) τὸ (the) σῶμά (body) μου (of Me), τὸ (which) ὑπὲρ (for) ὑμῶν (you) διδόμενον (is given); τοῦτο (this) ποιεῖτε (do) εἰς (in) τὴν (the) ἐμὴν (of Me) ἀνάμνησιν (remembrance),”

³⁵ Καὶ (And) αὐτοὶ (they) ἐξηγοῦντο (began relating) τὰ (the things) ἐν (on) τῇ (the) ὁδῷ (road), καὶ (and) ὡς (how) ἐγνώσθη (He was known) αὐτοῖς (to them) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) κλάσει (breaking) τοῦ (of the) ἄρτου (bread).

¹¹ Ἔλαβεν (Took) οὖν (then) τοὺς (the) ἄρτους (loaves) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), καὶ (and) εὐχαριστήσας (having given thanks), διέδωκεν (He distributed) τοῖς (to those) ἀνακειμένοις (reclining); ὁμοίως (likewise) καὶ (also) ἐκ (of) τῶν (the) ὀψαρίων (fish), ὅσον (as much as) ἤθελον (they wished).

³⁵ Εἴπας (Having said) δὲ (now) ταῦτα (these things) καὶ (and) λαβὼν (having taken) ἄρτον (bread), εὐχαρίστησεν (he gave thanks) τῷ (-) Θεῷ (to God) ἐνώπιον (before) πάντων (all), καὶ (and) κλάσας (having broken it), ἤρξατο (he began) ἐσθίειν (to eat).
