⁷ καὶ (And) ταχὺ (quickly) πορευθεῖσαι (having gone), εἴπατε (say) τοῖς (to the) μαθηταῖς (disciples) αὐτοῦ (of Him) ὅτι (that) Ἠγέρθη (He is risen) ἀπὸ (from) τῶν (the) νεκρῶν (dead) καὶ (and) ἰδοὺ (behold), προάγει (He goes before) ὑμᾶς (you) εἰς (into) τὴν (-) Γαλιλαίαν (Galilee); ἐκεῖ (there) αὐτὸν (Him) ὄψεσθε (you will see). ἰδοὺ (Behold), εἶπον (I have told) ὑμῖν (you).” ⁸ Καὶ (And) ἀπελθοῦσαι (having gone out) ταχὺ (quickly) ἀπὸ (from) τοῦ (the) μνημείου (tomb) μετὰ (with) φόβου (fear) καὶ (and) χαρᾶς (joy) μεγάλης (great), ἔδραμον (they ran) ἀπαγγεῖλαι (to tell) τοῖς (the) μαθηταῖς (disciples) αὐτοῦ (of Him).

⁹ «Ἀναστὰς (Having risen) δὲ (now) πρωῒ (early the) πρώτῃ (first day) σαββάτου (of the week), ἐφάνη (He appeared) πρῶτον (first) Μαρίᾳ (to Mary) τῇ (-) Μαγδαληνῇ (Magdalene), παρ’ (from) ἧς (whom) ἐκβεβλήκει (He had cast out) ἑπτὰ (seven) δαιμόνια (demons). ¹⁰ ἐκείνη (She) πορευθεῖσα (having gone), ἀπήγγειλεν (told it) τοῖς (to those) μετ’ (with) αὐτοῦ (Him), γενομένοις (having been) πενθοῦσι (mourning) καὶ (and) κλαίουσιν (weeping).

¹ Τῇ (The) δὲ (however) μιᾷ (first day) τῶν (of the) σαββάτων (week), ὄρθρου (dawn) βαθέως (very early), ἐπὶ (to) τὸ (the) μνῆμα (tomb) ἦλθον (they came), φέρουσαι (bringing) ἃ (that) ἡτοίμασαν (they had prepared) ἀρώματα (spices). ² εὗρον (They found) δὲ (then) τὸν (the) λίθον (stone) ἀποκεκυλισμένον (having been rolled away) ἀπὸ (from) τοῦ (the) μνημείου (tomb). ³ εἰσελθοῦσαι (Having entered) δὲ (however), οὐχ (not) εὗρον (they found) τὸ (the) σῶμα (body) τοῦ (of the) Κυρίου (Lord) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus). ⁴ καὶ (And) ἐγένετο (it came to pass) ἐν (while) τῷ (-) ἀπορεῖσθαι (are perplexed) αὐτὰς (they) περὶ (about) τούτου (this), καὶ (that) ἰδοὺ (behold), ἄνδρες (men) δύο (two) ἐπέστησαν (stood by) αὐταῖς (them) ἐν (in) ἐσθῆτι (garments) ἀστραπτούσῃ (dazzling). ⁵ ἐμφόβων (Terrified) δὲ (then) γενομένων (having become) αὐτῶν (of them) καὶ (and) κλινουσῶν (bowing) τὰ (the) πρόσωπα (faces) εἰς (to) τὴν (the) γῆν (ground), εἶπαν (they said) πρὸς (to) αὐτάς (them), “Τί (Why) ζητεῖτε (seek you) τὸν (the) ζῶντα (living) μετὰ (among) τῶν (the) νεκρῶν (dead)? ⁶ οὐκ (Not) ἔστιν (He is) ὧδε (here), ἀλλὰ (but) ἠγέρθη (He is risen)! μνήσθητε (Remember) ὡς (how) ἐλάλησεν (He spoke) ὑμῖν (to you), ἔτι (yet) ὢν (being) ἐν (in) τῇ (-) Γαλιλαίᾳ (Galilee), ⁷ λέγων (saying), ‘Τὸν (The) Υἱὸν (Son) τοῦ (-) ἀνθρώπου (of Man) ὅτι (-) δεῖ (it behooves) παραδοθῆναι (to be delivered) εἰς (into) χεῖρας (hands) ἀνθρώπων (of men) ἁμαρτωλῶν (sinful), καὶ (and) σταυρωθῆναι (to be crucified), καὶ (and) τῇ (the) τρίτῃ (third) ἡμέρᾳ (day) ἀναστῆναι (to arise).’” ⁸ Καὶ (And) ἐμνήσθησαν (they remembered) τῶν (the) ῥημάτων (words) αὐτοῦ (of Him). ⁹ καὶ (And) ὑποστρέψασαι (having returned) ἀπὸ (from) τοῦ (the) μνημείου (tomb), ἀπήγγειλαν (they related) ταῦτα (these things) πάντα (all) τοῖς (to the) ἕνδεκα (eleven) καὶ (and) πᾶσιν (to all) τοῖς (the) λοιποῖς (rest). ¹⁰ ἦσαν (It was) δὲ (now) ἡ (-) Μαγδαληνὴ (Magdalene) Μαρία (Mary), καὶ (and) Ἰωάννα (Joanna), καὶ (and) Μαρία (Mary) ἡ (the mother) Ἰακώβου (of James), καὶ (and) αἱ (the) λοιπαὶ (other women) σὺν (with) αὐταῖς (them), ἔλεγον (telling) πρὸς (to) τοὺς (the) ἀποστόλους (apostles) ταῦτα (these things). ¹¹ καὶ (And) ἐφάνησαν (appeared) ἐνώπιον (before) αὐτῶν (them) ὡσεὶ (like) λῆρος (folly) τὰ (the) ῥήματα (words) ταῦτα (of them), καὶ (and) ἠπίστουν (they did not believe) αὐταῖς (them).

¹ Τῇ (-) δὲ (Now) μιᾷ (the first day) τῶν (of the) σαββάτων (week), Μαρία (Mary) ἡ (-) Μαγδαληνὴ (Magdalene) ἔρχεται (comes) πρωῒ (early), σκοτίας (dark) ἔτι (still) οὔσης (it being), εἰς (to) τὸ (the) μνημεῖον (tomb), καὶ (and) βλέπει (she sees) τὸν (the) λίθον (stone) ἠρμένον (having been removed) ἐκ (from) τοῦ (the) μνημείου (tomb). ² τρέχει (She runs) οὖν (therefore) καὶ (and) ἔρχεται (comes) πρὸς (to) Σίμωνα (Simon) Πέτρον (Peter) καὶ (and) πρὸς (to) τὸν (the) ἄλλον (other) μαθητὴν (disciple), ὃν (whom) ἐφίλει (loved) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), καὶ (and) λέγει (she says) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Ἦραν (They have taken away) τὸν (the) Κύριον (Lord) ἐκ (out of) τοῦ (the) μνημείου (tomb), καὶ (and) οὐκ (not) οἴδαμεν (we know) ποῦ (where) ἔθηκαν (they have laid) αὐτόν (Him).”

¹⁸ Ἔρχεται (Comes) Μαριὰμ (Mary) ἡ (-) Μαγδαληνὴ (Magdalene) ἀγγέλλουσα (bringing word) τοῖς (to the) μαθηταῖς (disciples) ὅτι (-), “Ἑώρακα (I have seen) τὸν (the) Κύριον (Lord),” καὶ (and that) ταῦτα (these things) εἶπεν (He had said) αὐτῇ (to her).
