¹² Μετὰ (After) δὲ (now) ταῦτα (these things), δυσὶν (to two) ἐξ (of) αὐτῶν (them) περιπατοῦσιν (as they are walking), ἐφανερώθη (He appeared) ἐν (in) ἑτέρᾳ (another) μορφῇ (form), πορευομένοις (going) εἰς (into) ἀγρόν (the country). ¹³ κἀκεῖνοι (And they), ἀπελθόντες (having gone), ἀπήγγειλαν (told it) τοῖς (to the) λοιποῖς (rest); οὐδὲ (neither) ἐκείνοις (them) ἐπίστευσαν (did they believe).

¹⁸ ἀποκριθεὶς (Answering) δὲ (now), εἷς (the one) ὀνόματι (named) Κλεοπᾶς (Cleopas) εἶπεν (said) πρὸς (to) αὐτόν (Him), “Σὺ (You) μόνος (alone) παροικεῖς (visit) Ἰερουσαλὴμ (Jerusalem) καὶ (and) οὐκ (not) ἔγνως (have known) τὰ (the things) γενόμενα (having come to pass) ἐν (in) αὐτῇ (it) ἐν (in) ταῖς (the) ἡμέραις (days) ταύταις (these)?”
