²⁹ Καὶ (And) ὑμεῖς (you) μὴ (not) ζητεῖτε (seek) τί (what) φάγητε (you might eat), καὶ (and) τί (what) πίητε (you might drink), καὶ (and) μὴ (not) μετεωρίζεσθε (be in suspense);

³¹ Μὴ (Not) οὖν (therefore) μεριμνήσητε (be anxious), λέγοντες (saying), ‘Τί (What) φάγωμεν (shall we eat)?’ ἤ (Or) ‘Τί (what) πίωμεν (shall we drink)?’ ἤ (Or) ‘Τί (what) περιβαλώμεθα (shall we wear)?’

⁷ ἐν (In) αὐτῇ (the same) δὲ (now) τῇ (-) οἰκίᾳ (house) μένετε (remain), ἐσθίοντες* (eating) καὶ (and) πίνοντες (drinking) τὰ (the things supplied) παρ’ (by) αὐτῶν (them); ἄξιος (worthy is) γὰρ (for) ὁ (the) ἐργάτης (workman) τοῦ (of the) μισθοῦ (wages) αὐτοῦ (of him). μὴ (Not) μεταβαίνετε (move) ἐξ (from) οἰκίας (house) εἰς (to) οἰκίαν (house). ⁸ Καὶ (And) εἰς (into) ἣν (whatever) ἂν (-) πόλιν (city) εἰσέρχησθε (you might enter), καὶ (and) δέχωνται (they receive) ὑμᾶς (you), ἐσθίετε (eat) τὰ (the things) παρατιθέμενα (set before) ὑμῖν (you).

²² Εἶπεν (He said) δὲ (then) πρὸς (to) τοὺς (the) μαθητὰς (disciples) αὐτοῦ (of Him), “Διὰ (Because of) τοῦτο (this) λέγω (I say) ὑμῖν (to you), μὴ (not) μεριμνᾶτε (be anxious) τῇ (for the) ψυχῇ (life), τί (what) φάγητε (you should eat), μηδὲ (nor) τῷ (for the) σώματι (body) (ὑμῶν) (of you), τί (what) ἐνδύσησθε (you should put on).

³⁵ Καὶ (And) εἶπεν (He said) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Ὅτε (When) ἀπέστειλα (I sent) ὑμᾶς (you) ἄτερ (without) βαλλαντίου (purse) καὶ (and) πήρας (bag) καὶ (and) ὑποδημάτων (sandals), μή (not) τινος (anything) ὑστερήσατε (did you lack)?” Οἱ (-) δὲ (And) εἶπαν (they said), “Οὐθενός (Nothing).”
