¹⁶ Λέγει (Says) αὐτῇ (to her) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), “Μαριάμ (Mary).” Στραφεῖσα (Having turned around), ἐκείνη (she) λέγει (says) αὐτῷ (to Him) Ἑβραϊστί (in Hebrew), “Ραββουνι (Rabboni),” ὃ (that) λέγεται (is to say), “Διδάσκαλε (Teacher).”

²⁷ Εὐθὺς (Immediately) δὲ (now) ἐλάλησεν (spoke) «ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς» (Jesus) αὐτοῖς (to them), λέγων (saying), “Θαρσεῖτε (Take courage)! ἐγώ (I) εἰμι (it is), μὴ (not) φοβεῖσθε (fear).”

⁷ καὶ (and) τοὺς (the) ἀσπασμοὺς (greetings) ἐν (in) ταῖς (the) ἀγοραῖς (marketplaces), καὶ (and) καλεῖσθαι (to be called) ὑπὸ (by) τῶν (-) ἀνθρώπων (men), ‘Ῥαββί (Rabbi).’ ⁸ Ὑμεῖς (You) δὲ (however) μὴ (not) κληθῆτε (shall be called) ‘Ῥαββί (Rabbi);’ εἷς (One) γάρ (for) ἐστιν (is) ὑμῶν (of you) ὁ (the) διδάσκαλος (Teacher), πάντες (all) δὲ (now) ὑμεῖς (you) ἀδελφοί (brothers) ἐστε (are). ⁹ καὶ (And) πατέρα (father) μὴ (no one) καλέσητε (call) ὑμῶν (of you) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth); εἷς (One) γάρ (for) ἐστιν (is) ὑμῶν (of you) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father), ὁ (who is) οὐράνιος (in heaven). ¹⁰ μηδὲ (Neither) κληθῆτε (be called) καθηγηταί (instructors), ὅτι (since) καθηγητὴς (the instructor) ὑμῶν (of you) ἐστιν (is) εἷς (One), ὁ (the) Χριστός (Christ).

⁴¹ Ἀποκριθεὶς (Answering) δὲ (now), εἶπεν (said) αὐτῇ (to her) ὁ (the) Κύριος (Lord), “Μάρθα (Martha), Μάρθα (Martha), μεριμνᾷς (you are anxious) καὶ (and) θορυβάζῃ (troubled) περὶ (about) πολλά (many things);

³⁸ Στραφεὶς (Having turned) δὲ (then) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), καὶ (and) θεασάμενος (having beheld) αὐτοὺς (them) ἀκολουθοῦντας (following), λέγει (He says) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Τί (What) ζητεῖτε (seek you)?” Οἱ (-) δὲ (And) εἶπαν (they said) αὐτῷ (to Him), “Ῥαββί (Rabbi)”— ὃ (which) λέγεται (is to say), μεθερμηνευόμενον (being translated), Διδάσκαλε (Teacher)— “Ποῦ (where) μένεις (are You staying)?”

⁴⁹ Ἀπεκρίθη (Answered) αὐτῷ (Him) Ναθαναήλ (Nathanael), “Ῥαββί (Rabbi), σὺ (You) εἶ (are) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God); σὺ (You) Βασιλεὺς (King) εἶ (are) τοῦ (-) Ἰσραήλ (of Israel).”

² οὗτος (He) ἦλθεν (came) πρὸς (to) αὐτὸν (Him) νυκτὸς (by night) καὶ (and) εἶπεν (said) αὐτῷ (to Him), “Ῥαββί (Rabbi), οἴδαμεν (we know) ὅτι (that) ἀπὸ (from) Θεοῦ (God) ἐλήλυθας (You have come), διδάσκαλος (a teacher); οὐδεὶς (no one) γὰρ (for) δύναται (is able) ταῦτα (these) τὰ (-) σημεῖα (signs) ποιεῖν (to do) ἃ (that) σὺ (You) ποιεῖς (do), ἐὰν (if) μὴ (not) ᾖ (should be) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) μετ’ (with) αὐτοῦ (him).”

² Ἔστιν (There is) δὲ (now) ἐν (in) τοῖς (-) Ἱεροσολύμοις (Jerusalem) ἐπὶ (by) τῇ (the) προβατικῇ (Sheep Gate) κολυμβήθρα (a pool), ἡ (-) ἐπιλεγομένη (called) Ἑβραϊστὶ (in Hebrew) Βηθζαθά (Bethesda), πέντε (five) στοὰς (porches) ἔχουσα (having).

²⁵ καὶ (And) εὑρόντες (having found) αὐτὸν (Him) πέραν (on the other side) τῆς (of the) θαλάσσης (sea), εἶπον (they said) αὐτῷ (to Him), “Ῥαββί (Rabbi), πότε (when) ὧδε (here) γέγονας (have You come)?”

³ τούτῳ (To him) ὁ (the) θυρωρὸς (doorkeeper) ἀνοίγει (opens), καὶ (and) τὰ (the) πρόβατα (sheep) τῆς (the) φωνῆς (voice) αὐτοῦ (of him) ἀκούει (hear), καὶ (and) τὰ (the) ἴδια (own) πρόβατα (sheep) φωνεῖ (he calls) κατ’ (by) ὄνομα (name) καὶ (and) ἐξάγει (leads out) αὐτά (them).

²⁸ Καὶ (And) τοῦτο (these things) εἰποῦσα (having said), ἀπῆλθεν (she went away) καὶ (and) ἐφώνησεν (called) Μαριὰμ (Mary), τὴν (the) ἀδελφὴν (sister) αὐτῆς (of her), λάθρᾳ (secretly), εἰποῦσα (having said), “Ὁ (The) Διδάσκαλος (Teacher) πάρεστιν (is come), καὶ (and) φωνεῖ (He calls) σε (you).”

¹³ ὑμεῖς (You) φωνεῖτέ (call) με (Me) Ὁ (-) Διδάσκαλος (Teacher) καὶ (and) ὁ (-) Κύριος (Lord), καὶ (and) καλῶς (rightly) λέγετε (you say), εἰμὶ (I am) γάρ (for).

²⁸ Ἀπεκρίθη (Answered) Θωμᾶς (Thomas) καὶ (and) εἶπεν (said) αὐτῷ (to Him), “Ὁ (The) Κύριός (Lord) μου (of Me) καὶ (and) ὁ (the) Θεός (God) μου (of me)!”

⁴ καὶ (And) πεσὼν (having fallen) ἐπὶ (on) τὴν (the) γῆν (ground), ἤκουσεν (he heard) φωνὴν (a voice) λέγουσαν (saying) αὐτῷ (to him), “Σαοὺλ (Saul), Σαούλ (Saul), τί (why) με (Me) διώκεις (do you persecute)?”

³ εἶδεν (He saw) ἐν (in) ὁράματι (a vision) φανερῶς (clearly), ὡσεὶ (as if) περὶ (about) ὥραν (hour) ἐνάτην (the ninth) τῆς (of the) ἡμέρας (day), ἄγγελον (an angel) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God) εἰσελθόντα (having come) πρὸς (to) αὐτὸν (him) καὶ (and) εἰπόντα (having said) αὐτῷ (to him), “Κορνήλιε (Cornelius)!”
