³⁴ Οὐ (Not) γὰρ (for) Δαυὶδ (David) ἀνέβη (ascended) εἰς (into) τοὺς (the) οὐρανούς (heavens); λέγει (he says) δὲ (however) αὐτός (himself): ‘Εἶπεν (Said) ‹ὁ› (the) Κύριος (Lord) τῷ (to) Κυρίῳ (the Lord) μου (of me), Κάθου (Sit) ἐκ (at) δεξιῶν (the right hand) μου (of Me),

⁴² λέγων (saying), “Τί (What) ὑμῖν (you) δοκεῖ (think) περὶ (concerning) τοῦ (the) Χριστοῦ (Christ)? τίνος (Of whom) υἱός (son) ἐστιν (is He)?” Λέγουσιν (They say) αὐτῷ (to Him), “Τοῦ (-) Δαυίδ (Of David).” ⁴³ Λέγει (He says) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Πῶς (How) οὖν (then), Δαυὶδ (David) ἐν (in) Πνεύματι (spirit) καλεῖ (does call) αὐτὸν (Him) Κύριον (Lord), λέγων (saying): ⁴⁴ ‘Εἶπεν (Said) Κύριος (the Lord) τῷ (to the) Κυρίῳ (Lord) μου (of me), “Κάθου (Sit) ἐκ (on) δεξιῶν (the right hand) μου (of Me), Ἕως (until) ἂν (-) θῶ (I place) τοὺς (the) ἐχθρούς (enemies) σου (of You) Ὑποκάτω (as a footstool) τῶν (for the) ποδῶν (feet) σου (of You).”’ ⁴⁵ Εἰ (If) οὖν (therefore) Δαυὶδ (David) καλεῖ (calls) αὐτὸν (Him) Κύριον (Lord), πῶς (how) υἱὸς (son) αὐτοῦ (of him) ἐστιν (is He)?”

³⁶ αὐτὸς (Himself) Δαυὶδ (David) εἶπεν (said) ἐν (by) τῷ (the) Πνεύματι (Spirit) τῷ (-) Ἁγίῳ (Holy): ‘Εἶπεν (Said) Κύριος (the Lord) τῷ (to the) Κυρίῳ (Lord) μου (of me), “Κάθου (Sit) ἐκ (at) δεξιῶν (the right hand) μου (of Me), Ἕως (until) ἂν (-) θῶ (I place) τοὺς (of the) ἐχθρούς (enemies) σου (of You) Ὑποκάτω (as a footstool) τῶν (of the) ποδῶν (feet) σου (of You).”’

⁴² αὐτὸς (Himself) γὰρ (for) Δαυὶδ (David) λέγει (says) ἐν (in) βίβλῳ (the book) ψαλμῶν (of Psalms): ‘Εἶπεν (Said) Κύριος (the Lord) τῷ (to the) Κυρίῳ (Lord) μου (of me), “Κάθου (Sit) ἐκ (at) δεξιῶν (the right hand) μου (of Me), ⁴³ Ἕως (until) ἂν (-) θῶ (I place) τοὺς (the) ἐχθρούς (enemies) σου (of You), Ὑποπόδιον (as a footstool) τῶν (of the) ποδῶν (feet) σου (of You).”’

²⁵ δεῖ (It behooves) γὰρ (for) αὐτὸν (Him) βασιλεύειν (to reign) ἄχρι (until) οὗ (that) θῇ (He shall have put) πάντας (all) τοὺς (the) ἐχθροὺς (enemies) ὑπὸ (under) τοὺς (the) πόδας (feet) αὐτοῦ (of Him).

²² καὶ (And) πάντα (all things) ὑπέταξεν (He put) ὑπὸ (under) τοὺς (the) πόδας (feet) αὐτοῦ (of Him), καὶ (and) αὐτὸν (Him) ἔδωκεν (gave) κεφαλὴν (to be head) ὑπὲρ (over) πάντα (all things) τῇ (to the) ἐκκλησίᾳ (church),

¹³ Πρὸς (To) τίνα (which) δὲ (now) τῶν (of the) ἀγγέλων (angels) εἴρηκέν (did He say) ποτε (ever): “Κάθου (Sit) ἐκ (at) δεξιῶν (the right hand) μου (of Me), ἕως (until) ἂν (-) θῶ (I may place) τοὺς (the) ἐχθρούς (enemies) σου (of You) ὑποπόδιον (as a footstool) τῶν (for the) ποδῶν (feet) σου (of You)”?
