¹² τὰ (The) μὲν (indeed) σημεῖα (signs) τοῦ (of the) ἀποστόλου (apostle) κατειργάσθη (were performed) ἐν (among) ὑμῖν (you) ἐν (in) πάσῃ (all) ὑπομονῇ (perseverance), σημείοις (in signs) τε (both), καὶ (and) τέρασιν (wonders), καὶ (and) δυνάμεσιν (miracles).

⁴⁸ Εἶπεν (Said) οὖν (therefore) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) πρὸς (to) αὐτόν (him), “Ἐὰν (If) μὴ (not) σημεῖα (signs) καὶ (and) τέρατα (wonders) ἴδητε (you people see), οὐ (no) μὴ (not) πιστεύσητε (will you believe).”

¹ Οὐκ (Not) εἰμὶ (am I) ἐλεύθερος (free)? οὐκ (Not) εἰμὶ (am I) ἀπόστολος (an apostle)? οὐχὶ (Not) Ἰησοῦν (Jesus) τὸν (the) Κύριον (Lord) ἡμῶν (of us) ἑόρακα (have I seen)? οὐ (Not) τὸ (the) ἔργον (work) μου (of me), ὑμεῖς (you) ἐστε (are), ἐν (in) Κυρίῳ (the Lord). ² εἰ (If) ἄλλοις (to others) οὐκ (not) εἰμὶ (I am) ἀπόστολος (an apostle), ἀλλά (yet) γε (at least) ὑμῖν (to you) εἰμι (I am); ἡ (the) γὰρ (for) σφραγίς (seal) μου (of my) τῆς (the) ἀποστολῆς (apostleship), ὑμεῖς (you) ἐστε (are) ἐν (in) Κυρίῳ (the Lord).

² ἀλλὰ (But) ἀπειπάμεθα (we have renounced) τὰ (the) κρυπτὰ (hidden things) τῆς (-) αἰσχύνης (of shame), μὴ (not) περιπατοῦντες (walking) ἐν (in) πανουργίᾳ (craftiness) μηδὲ (nor) δολοῦντες (falsifying) τὸν (the) λόγον (word) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God), ἀλλὰ (but) τῇ (-) φανερώσει (by manifestation) τῆς (of the) ἀληθείας (truth) συνιστάνοντες (commending) ἑαυτοὺς (ourselves) πρὸς (to) πᾶσαν (every) συνείδησιν (conscience) ἀνθρώπων (of men) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (God).

⁴ ἀλλ’ (rather), ἐν (in) παντὶ (everything), συνιστάνοντες (we are commending) ἑαυτοὺς (ourselves) ὡς (as) Θεοῦ (God’s) διάκονοι (servants), ἐν (in) ὑπομονῇ (endurance) πολλῇ (great), ἐν (in) θλίψεσιν (tribulations), ἐν (in) ἀνάγκαις (hardships), ἐν (in) στενοχωρίαις (distresses), ⁵ ἐν (in) πληγαῖς (beatings), ἐν (in) φυλακαῖς (imprisonments), ἐν (in) ἀκαταστασίαις (riots), ἐν (in) κόποις (labors), ἐν (in) ἀγρυπνίαις (watchings), ἐν (in) νηστείαις (fastings); ⁶ ἐν (in) ἁγνότητι (purity), ἐν (in) γνώσει (knowledge), ἐν (in) μακροθυμίᾳ (patience), ἐν (in) χρηστότητι (kindness), ἐν (in the) Πνεύματι (Spirit) Ἁγίῳ (Holy), ἐν (in) ἀγάπῃ (love) ἀνυποκρίτῳ (genuine); ⁷ ἐν (in the) λόγῳ (word) ἀληθείας (of truth), ἐν (in the) δυνάμει (power) Θεοῦ (of God); διὰ (with) τῶν (the) ὅπλων (weapons) τῆς (-) δικαιοσύνης (of righteousness) τῶν (for the) δεξιῶν (right hand) καὶ (and) ἀριστερῶν (for the left); ⁸ διὰ (through) δόξης (glory) καὶ (and) ἀτιμίας (dishonor), διὰ (through) δυσφημίας (bad report) καὶ (and) εὐφημίας (good report); ὡς (as) πλάνοι (imposters), καὶ (and yet) ἀληθεῖς (true); ⁹ ὡς (as) ἀγνοούμενοι (being unknown), καὶ (and yet) ἐπιγινωσκόμενοι (being well-known); ὡς (as) ἀποθνήσκοντες (dying), καὶ (and yet) ἰδοὺ (behold), ζῶμεν (we live); ὡς (as) παιδευόμενοι (being disciplined), καὶ (and yet) μὴ (not) θανατούμενοι (being killed); ¹⁰ ὡς (as) λυπούμενοι (being sorrowful), ἀεὶ (always) δὲ (yet) χαίροντες (rejoicing); ὡς (as) πτωχοὶ (poor), πολλοὺς (many) δὲ (yet) πλουτίζοντες (enriching); ὡς (as) μηδὲν (nothing) ἔχοντες (having), καὶ (and yet) πάντα (all things) κατέχοντες (possessing).

⁴ εἰ (If) μὲν (indeed) γὰρ (for) ὁ (the one) ἐρχόμενος (coming), ἄλλον (another) Ἰησοῦν (Jesus) κηρύσσει (proclaims), ὃν (whom) οὐκ (not) ἐκηρύξαμεν (we did proclaim), ἢ (or) πνεῦμα (a spirit) ἕτερον (different) λαμβάνετε (you receive) ὃ (which) οὐκ (not) ἐλάβετε (you did receive), ἢ (or) εὐαγγέλιον (glad tidings) ἕτερον (different) ὃ (which) οὐκ (not) ἐδέξασθε (you did accept), καλῶς (well) ἀνέχεσθε (are you bearing with it).

⁶ εἰ (If) δὲ (however), καὶ (even) ἰδιώτης (unpolished) τῷ (-) λόγῳ (in speech I am), ἀλλ’ (yet) οὐ (not) τῇ (-) γνώσει (in knowledge); ἀλλ’ (but) ἐν (in) παντὶ (every way), φανερώσαντες (we have been made manifest) ἐν (in) πᾶσιν (all things) εἰς (to) ὑμᾶς (you).
