¹ And I saw in the right hand of him that sits on the throne, a book written within and without, sealed with seven seals.

³ and he that sat was, in appearance, like a jasper and sardine-stone: and there was round about the throne a rainbow, in appearance like an emerald.

⁷ And he came, and took the book out of the right hand of him that sits on the throne.

¹³ And every creature that is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are on the sea, even all that are in them, I heard saying: To him that sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and strength from age to age.

¹ And I saw when the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, with a voice like thunder, Come and see.

² And he had in his hand a little book opened; and he placed his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the land;

⁸ And the voice that I heard from heaven spoke to me again, and said: Go and take the little book that is open in the hand of the angel that stands on the sea and on the land. ⁹ And I went to the angel, and said to him: Give me the little book. And he said to me: Take it, and eat it up, and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be in your mouth as sweet as honey. ¹⁰ And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up, and it was in my mouth as sweet as honey; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was bitter. ¹¹ And he said to me: You must prophesy again before many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.
