⁵ And while they feared and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them: Why seek you among the dead for him that lives?

³ His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment was white as snow. ⁴ From fear of him the keepers did shake and become like dead men. ⁵ But the angel answered and said to the women: Fear not; for I know that you seek Jesus, who was crucified.

⁵ And they entered the sepulcher, and saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe: and they were frightened. ⁶ But he said to them: Be not frightened; you seek Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here: see the place where they laid him.

¹² And Zachariah was troubled at the sight, and fear fell upon him. ¹³ But the angel said to him: Fear not, Zachariah; for your prayer is heard, and your wife Elizabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
