⁶ since, indeed, it is a righteous thing with God, to repay affliction to those who afflict you,

²⁵ But he that does wrong shall receive for the wrong which he has done; and there is no respect of persons.

¹⁰ and they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, Sovereign, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

¹⁸ And the nations were angry, and thy wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldst give reward to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to those who fear thy name, both small and great, and that thou shouldst destroy those who corrupt the earth.

⁴ Who will not fear thee, Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou alone art holy; for all nations shall come and worship before thee: because thy judgments are made manifest.

⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters, saying: Just art thou, who art and who wast, the Holy One, because thou hast thus judged. ⁶ For they have shed the blood of saints and of prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink, and they are worthy.

²⁰ Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets: for God has avenged you on her.

²⁴ And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

² for true and righteous are his judgments, for he has judged the great harlot that corrupted the earth with her lewdness; and he has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
