³¹ And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ comes, will he do more miracles than these which this man has done?

³ And said to him, Are you he that should come, or do we look for another? ⁴ Jesus answered and said to them, Go and show John again those things which you do hear and see: ⁵ The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. ⁶ And blessed is he, whoever shall not be offended in me.

²³ And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?

¹³ They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

¹¹ This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

²³ Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. ²⁴ But Jesus did not commit himself to them, because he knew all men,

² The same came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that you do, except God be with him.

³⁹ And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

² And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.

¹⁴ Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. ¹⁵ When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

³⁰ As he spoke these words, many believed on him. ³¹ Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; ³² And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

¹⁶ Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keeps not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

⁴¹ And many resorted to him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spoke of this man were true. ⁴² And many believed on him there.

⁴⁵ Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

¹¹ Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

⁴² Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

¹³ Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

²⁶ For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
