Shall the dust praise you? shall it declare your truth? ¹⁰ Hear, O LORD, and have mercy on me: LORD, be you my helper. ¹¹ You have turned for me my mourning into dancing: you have put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; ¹² To the end that my glory may sing praise to you, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you for ever.

¹⁹ Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for them that fear you; which you have worked for them that trust in you before the sons of men!

⁸ Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! ⁹ For he satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness. ¹⁰ Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

⁶ Who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth! ⁷ He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the dunghill; ⁸ That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people. ⁹ He makes the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise you the LORD.

² The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, on them has the light shined.

The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

⁵ Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
