¹ And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: ² And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. ³ And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus said to him, They have no wine. ⁴ Jesus said to her, Woman, what have I to do with you? my hour is not yet come. ⁵ His mother said to the servants, Whatever he said to you, do it. ⁶ And there were set there six water pots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. ⁷ Jesus said to them, Fill the water pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. ⁸ And he said to them, Draw out now, and bear to the governor of the feast. And they bore it. ⁹ When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not from where it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, ¹⁰ And said to him, Every man at the beginning does set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but you have kept the good wine until now. ¹¹ This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him. ¹² After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brothers, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days. ¹³ And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: ¹⁵ And when he had made a whip of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; ¹⁶ And said to them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise. ¹⁷ And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of your house has eaten me up. ¹⁸ Then answered the Jews and said to him, What sign show you to us, seeing that you do these things? ¹⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. ²⁰ Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and will you raise it up in three days? ²¹ But he spoke of the temple of his body. ²² When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this to them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. ²³ Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. ²⁴ But Jesus did not commit himself to them, because he knew all men, ²⁵ And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

²⁷ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. ²⁸ And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.

¹⁸ And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. ¹⁹ And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them: and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. ²⁰ And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. ²¹ And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; ²² And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her to the man. ²³ And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. ²⁴ Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall join to his wife: and they shall be one flesh. ²⁵ And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

²² Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

³⁴ And he took and sent messes to them from before him: but Benjamin's mess was five times so much as any of their's. And they drank, and were merry with him.

⁹ And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither listen to your voice, that you shall take of the water of the river, and pour it on the dry land: and the water which you take out of the river shall become blood on the dry land.

⁶ And you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. ⁷ And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. ⁸ And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. ⁹ Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the entrails thereof. ¹⁰ And you shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire. ¹¹ And thus shall you eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover. ¹² For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. ¹³ And the blood shall be to you for a token on the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. ¹⁴ And this day shall be to you for a memorial; and you shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

⁶ And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. ⁷ Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against you; pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. ⁸ And the LORD said to Moses, Make you a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looks on it, shall live. ⁹ And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it on a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

¹⁶ And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the LORD. ¹⁷ And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. ¹⁸ In the first day shall be an holy convocation; you shall do no manner of servile work therein: ¹⁹ But you shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering to the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall be to you without blemish: ²⁰ And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: three tenth deals shall you offer for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram; ²¹ A several tenth deal shall you offer for every lamb, throughout the seven lambs: ²² And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you. ²³ You shall offer these beside the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering. ²⁴ After this manner you shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet smell to the LORD: it shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering. ²⁵ And on the seventh day you shall have an holy convocation; you shall do no servile work.

²⁴ And you said, Behold, the LORD our God has showed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the middle of the fire: we have seen this day that God does talk with man, and he lives.

²³ And you shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of your corn, of your wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herds and of your flocks; that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always. ²⁴ And if the way be too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from you, which the LORD your God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD your God has blessed you: ²⁵ Then shall you turn it into money, and bind up the money in your hand, and shall go to the place which the LORD your God shall choose: ²⁶ And you shall bestow that money for whatever your soul lusts after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul desires: and you shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you, and your household,

¹ Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover to the LORD your God: for in the month of Abib the LORD your God brought you forth out of Egypt by night. ² You shall therefore sacrifice the passover to the LORD your God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there. ³ You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shall you eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for you came forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that you may remember the day when you came forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life. ⁴ And there shall be no leavened bread seen with you in all your coast seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which you sacrificed the first day at even, remain all night until the morning. ⁵ You may not sacrifice the passover within any of your gates, which the LORD your God gives you: ⁶ But at the place which the LORD your God shall choose to place his name in, there you shall sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that you came forth out of Egypt. ⁷ And you shall roast and eat it in the place which the LORD your God shall choose: and you shall turn in the morning, and go to your tents. ⁸ Six days you shall eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD your God: you shall do no work therein.

¹⁶ Three times in a year shall all your males appear before the LORD your God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:

⁹ Who said to his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brothers, nor knew his own children: for they have observed your word, and kept your covenant.

³ And you shall compass the city, all you men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shall you do six days. ⁴ And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day you shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. ⁵ And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.

¹⁴ She may not eat of any thing that comes of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.

⁷ But the LORD said to Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.

¹⁰ And the king said, What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD has said to him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Why have you done so?

²² And David said, What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should this day be adversaries to me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

¹³ And Elijah said to her, Fear not; go and do as you have said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it to me, and after make for you and for your son.

² And Elisha said to her, What shall I do for you? tell me, what have you in the house? And she said, Your handmaid has not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. ³ Then he said, Go, borrow you vessels abroad of all your neighbors, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. ⁴ And when you are come in, you shall shut the door on you and on your sons, and shall pour out into all those vessels, and you shall set aside that which is full. ⁵ So she went from him, and shut the door on her and on her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. ⁶ And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said to her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

¹⁰ And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall come again to you, and you shall be clean. ¹¹ But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. ¹² Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. ¹³ And his servants came near, and spoke to him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid you do some great thing, would you not have done it? how much rather then, when he said to you, Wash, and be clean? ¹⁴ Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like to the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

⁹ And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off for ever.

¹⁷ I know also, my God, that you try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy your people, which are present here, to offer willingly to you.

¹⁰ For you will not leave my soul in hell; neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption.

⁹ For the zeal of your house has eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached you are fallen on me.

¹⁹ And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

³ Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

¹⁵ And wine that makes glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengthens man's heart.

¹⁰⁰ I understand more than the ancients, because I keep your precepts.

¹³⁹ My zeal has consumed me, because my enemies have forgotten your words.

¹ Blessed is every one that fears the LORD; that walks in his ways. ² For you shall eat the labor of your hands: happy shall you be, and it shall be well with you. ³ Your wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of your house: your children like olive plants round about your table. ⁴ Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that fears the LORD.

⁵ Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

¹ Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars: ² She has killed her beasts; she has mingled her wine; she has also furnished her table. ³ She has sent forth her maidens: she cries on the highest places of the city, ⁴ Whoever is simple, let him turn in here: as for him that wants understanding, she said to him, ⁵ Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. ⁶ Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

¹⁰ Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. ¹¹ The heart of her husband does safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. ¹² She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

¹ To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

⁶ Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. ⁷ Go your way, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God now accepts your works.

¹⁹ A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes merry: but money answers all things.

¹¹ Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, said the LORD.

⁹ The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

⁷ He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loves to oppress. ⁸ And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labors they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.

²⁹ And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with you, Jesus, you Son of God? are you come here to torment us before the time?

⁴ And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Why think you evil in your hearts?

¹⁶ Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the middle of wolves: be you therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. ¹⁷ But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will whip you in their synagogues;

⁴⁰ He that receives you receives me, and he that receives me receives him that sent me. ⁴¹ He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. ⁴² And whoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

²³ And you, Capernaum, which are exalted to heaven, shall be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in you, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

¹⁹ He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

³⁸ Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from you. ³⁹ But he answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: ⁴⁰ For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

⁴⁶ While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood without, desiring to speak with him.

²⁰ But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the word, and immediately with joy receives it; ²¹ Yet has he not root in himself, but endures for a while: for when tribulation or persecution rises because of the word, by and by he is offended.

⁵⁵ Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brothers, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? ⁵⁶ And his sisters, are they not all with us? From where then has this man all these things?

²⁸ Then Jesus answered and said to her, O woman, great is your faith: be it to you even as you will. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

⁴⁵ Then shall he answer them, saying, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.

²⁸ For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

⁶⁰ But found none: yes, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, ⁶¹ And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

⁴⁰ And saying, You that destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself. If you be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

⁶³ Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

⁸ And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said to them, Why reason you these things in your hearts?

¹⁶ And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; ¹⁷ And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution rises for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

³ Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

² And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashed, hands, they found fault. ³ For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders. ⁴ And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brazen vessels, and of tables. ⁵ Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not your disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?

¹¹ And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

³¹ And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

² And said to them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as you be entered into it, you shall find a colt tied, where on never man sat; loose him, and bring him. ³ And if any man say to you, Why do you this? say you that the Lord has need of him; and straightway he will send him here. ⁴ And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. ⁵ And certain of them that stood there said to them, What do you, loosing the colt? ⁶ And they said to them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.

¹² And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said to him, Where will you that we go and prepare that you may eat the passover? ¹³ And he sends forth two of his disciples, and said to them, Go you into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him. ¹⁴ And wherever he shall go in, say you to the manager of the house, The Master said, Where is the guest room, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? ¹⁵ And he will show you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us. ¹⁶ And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said to them: and they made ready the passover. ¹⁷ And in the evening he comes with the twelve.

⁵⁸ We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

²⁹ And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, you that destroy the temple, and build it in three days,

⁴¹ Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.

⁴⁹ And he said to them, How is it that you sought me? knew you not that I must be about my Father's business?

⁵ And Simon answering said to him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at your word I will let down the net. ⁶ And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net broke.

⁴⁶ And why call you me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? ⁴⁷ Whoever comes to me, and hears my sayings, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like: ⁴⁸ He is like a man which built an house, and dig deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently on that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded on a rock. ⁴⁹ But he that hears, and does not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house on the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

³⁴ The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and you say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a drunkard, a friend of publicans and sinners! ³⁵ But wisdom is justified of all her children. ³⁶ And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. ³⁷ And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, ³⁸ And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

¹³ They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

²⁹ And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

²⁵ But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and you are tormented.

⁴⁵ And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought; ⁴⁶ Saying to them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but you have made it a den of thieves.

¹ And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came on him with the elders, ² And spoke to him, saying, Tell us, by what authority do you these things? or who is he that gave you this authority?

⁷ Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. ⁸ And they remembered his words,

⁴⁴ And he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

¹⁷ For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

²⁵ And they asked him, and said to him, Why baptize you then, if you be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

³ And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus said to him, They have no wine.

⁵ His mother said to the servants, Whatever he said to you, do it.

⁹ When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not from where it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

¹¹ This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

¹³ And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

¹⁷ And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of your house has eaten me up.

²³ Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

² The same came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that you do, except God be with him.

²⁵ Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.

⁴⁶ So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.

¹ After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, My Father works till now, and I work.

¹⁹ Then answered Jesus and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do: for what things soever he does, these also does the Son likewise.

²³ That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honors not the Son honors not the Father which has sent him.

⁴² But I know you, that you have not the love of God in you.

⁴ And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was near.

¹⁴ Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. ¹⁵ When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

¹⁷ And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.

²⁶ Jesus answered them and said, Truly, truly, I say to you, You seek me, not because you saw the miracles, but because you did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

³⁰ They said therefore to him, What sign show you then, that we may see, and believe you? what do you work?

⁶¹ When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said to them, Does this offend you?

⁶⁴ But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

³ His brothers therefore said to him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that your disciples also may see the works that you do. ⁴ For there is no man that does any thing in secret, and he himself seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world. ⁵ For neither did his brothers believe in him. ⁶ Then Jesus said to them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready.

¹⁷ If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

³⁰ Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. ³¹ And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ comes, will he do more miracles than these which this man has done?

²⁰ These words spoke Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

³⁰ As he spoke these words, many believed on him. ³¹ Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed;

⁴⁹ Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honor my Father, and you do dishonor me.

¹⁷ Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. ¹⁸ No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

²⁹ My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

³ Therefore his sisters sent to him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom you love is sick.

¹⁵ And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent you may believe; nevertheless let us go to him.

²⁵ Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

⁵⁵ And the Jews' passover was near at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.

¹⁶ These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things to him.

²³ And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

³⁷ But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:

⁴¹ These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spoke of him. ⁴² Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: ⁴³ For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

¹ Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them to the end.

¹¹ For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, You are not all clean.

⁹ Jesus said to him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known me, Philip? he that has seen me has seen the Father; and how say you then, Show us the Father? ¹⁰ Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak to you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwells in me, he does the works. ¹¹ Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

¹³ And whatever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

²⁶ But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.

¹⁴ You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.

⁴ But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

³⁰ Now are we sure that you know all things, and need not that any man should ask you: by this we believe that you came forth from God.

⁶ As soon then as he had said to them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

²⁶ When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he said to his mother, Woman, behold your son! ²⁷ Then said he to the disciple, Behold your mother! And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.

⁸ Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulcher, and he saw, and believed. ⁹ For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

¹³ And they say to her, Woman, why weep you? She said to them, Because they have taken away my LORD, and I know not where they have laid him.

¹⁵ Jesus said to her, Woman, why weep you? whom seek you? She, supposing him to be the gardener, said to him, Sir, if you have borne him hence, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brothers, and say to them, I ascend to my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

³⁰ And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: ³¹ But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through his name.

¹³ And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where stayed both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. ¹⁴ These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

²⁴ And they prayed, and said, You, Lord, which know the hearts of all men, show whether of these two you have chosen,

²⁴ Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be held of it.

³² This Jesus has God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

¹⁵ And killed the Prince of life, whom God has raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

²⁶ To you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

⁷ And when they had set them in the middle, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have you done this?

²⁸ Saying, Did not we straightly command you that you should not teach in this name? and, behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood on us.

²⁶ And the angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south to the way that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza, which is desert. ²⁷ And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, ²⁸ Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. ²⁹ Then the Spirit said to Philip, Go near, and join yourself to this chariot. ³⁰ And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understand you what you read? ³¹ And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. ³² The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: ³³ In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. ³⁴ And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray you, of whom speaks the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? ³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached to him Jesus. ³⁶ And as they went on their way, they came to a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what does hinder me to be baptized? ³⁷ And Philip said, If you believe with all your heart, you may. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. ³⁸ And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. ³⁹ And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. ⁴⁰ But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

⁶ And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what will you have me to do? And the Lord said to him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told you what you must do.

¹⁶ Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

²⁴ For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain to the craftsmen; ²⁵ Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, you know that by this craft we have our wealth. ²⁶ Moreover you see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands: ²⁷ So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nothing; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worships.

²⁴ But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

⁴ Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

¹¹ But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.

⁷ Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.

¹⁶ Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

¹⁹ What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own?

³⁹ The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

⁵ Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

³¹ Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

³ For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; ⁴ And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

¹² Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

¹⁸ But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.

⁶ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

¹⁶ Why from now on know we no man after the flesh: yes, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now from now on know we him no more.

¹⁶ And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? for you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

⁴ (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

¹⁹ But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.

⁵ To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. ⁶ But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatever they were, it makes no matter to me: God accepts no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:

¹⁰ For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. ¹¹ But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. ¹² And the law is not of faith: but, The man that does them shall live in them. ¹³ Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree:

⁶ For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.

²⁰ And are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; ²¹ In whom all the building fitly framed together grows to an holy temple in the Lord: ²² In whom you also are built together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

¹⁶ That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; ¹⁷ That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

²⁶ That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

³⁰ For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. ³¹ For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. ³² This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. ³³ Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

⁶ Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

¹⁹ For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;

⁹ For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

¹² Buried with him in baptism, wherein also you are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised him from the dead.

¹⁷ And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

¹ Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; ² Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; ³ Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

⁵ Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw yourself.

¹³ Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened to the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

⁹ And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation to all them that obey him;

² Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

¹⁰ Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

¹⁹ For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

²² Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

⁸ By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing where he went.

⁴ Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

¹⁹ You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble. ²⁰ But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

⁴ To whom coming, as to a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, ⁵ You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

³ And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.

¹⁴ Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: ¹⁵ Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

¹³ These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.

²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searches the reins and hearts: and I will give to every one of you according to your works.

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

¹⁶ They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. ¹⁷ For the Lamb which is in the middle of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them to living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
