¹ Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness to the king's son.

³⁹ And Zadok the priest took the horn of oil out of the tent, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet, and all the people said, Live, king Solomon.

¹² Only LORD give thee discretion and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, so that thou may keep the law of LORD thy God. ¹³ Then thou shall prosper, if thou observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel. Be strong, and of good courage. Fear not, neither be dismayed.

¹⁹ And give to Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace for thee, for which I have made provision.

¹⁰ Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people. For who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

¹ Unless LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless LORD guards the city, the watchman wake but in vain.

² And the Spirit of LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of LORD.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says LORD, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. ⁶ In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is his name by which he shall be called: LORD our righteousness.

³⁴ For he whom God sent speaks the sayings of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.

⁸ But toward the Son, Thy throne, O God, is into the age of the age. The scepter of thy kingdom is a scepter of straightness. ⁹ Thou have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness. Because of this, God, thy God, anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy companions.
