¹⁹ and if any one shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written of in this book.

⁵² Woe to you lawyers! because ye took away the key of knowledge; ye entered not in yourselves, and those who were entering in ye hindered.

³ Happy he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep the things written therein; for the time is at hand.

⁹ After these things I saw, and behold a great multitude, which no one could number, out of every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palms in their hands. ¹⁰ And they cry with a loud voice, saying: Salvation to our God, who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb. ¹¹ And all the angels were standing round the throne and the elders and the four animals, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God, ¹² saying: Amen; the blessing, and the glory, and the wisdom, and the thanksgiving, and the honor, and the power, and the might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen. ¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying to me: These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and whence came they? ¹⁴ And I said to him: Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me: These are they who come out of the great affliction, and they washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore are they before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them. ¹⁶ They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun fall upon them, nor any heat; ¹⁷ because the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and will lead them to the fountains of the waters of life; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

⁸ And all who dwell upon the earth will worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb which is slain, from the foundation of the world.

¹³ And I heard a voice out of heaven saying: Write, Happy are the dead who die in the Lord, henceforth; yea, says the Spirit, that they shall rest from their labors, for their works follow with them.

² And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

²² And I saw in it no temple; for the Lord God the Almighty is its temple, and the Lamb. ²³ And the city has no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine on it; for the glory of God lightened it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. ²⁴ And the nations will walk by its light; and the kings of the earth bring their glory into it. ²⁵ And its gates will not be shut by day; for there will be no night there; ²⁶ and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. ²⁷ And there shall not enter into it any thing unclean, or that works abomination or falsehood; but they who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

² In the midst of its street, and on either side of the river, was a tree of life, bearing twelve fruits, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

¹² Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to each one according as his work is.
