Wesley⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁸ And to the angel of the church at Thyatira write, These things saith the Son of God, who hath eyes as a flame of fire, and his feet like fine brass. ¹⁹ I know thy love and faith, and thy service and patience, and thy last works more than the first. ²⁰ But I have against thee, that thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, who callest herself a prophetess, and teacheth and seduceth my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to idols. ²¹ And I gave her time to repent of her fornication; but she will not repent. ²² Behold I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her, into great affliction, unless they repent of her works. ²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know, that I am he who searcheth the reins and hearts; and I will give you, every man, according to your works. ²⁴ But I say to you, the rest that are at Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak, I will lay upon you no other burden.
