Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and never despair.
He said: "In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor regarded man.
And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'
For a while he refused, but later he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God or respect men,
yet because this widow bothers me, I will protect her, so that she may not finally wear me out with her coming.' "
And the Lord said: Hear what the unjust judge says;
And will not God bring about justice for his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them?
I tell you, he will give them justice quickly. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?"
