Our fathers minded not thy wonders in Egypt, they did not remember the multitude of thy mercies. Though in coming up they were refractory at the Red sea,
yet he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make known his mighty power.
He rebuked the Red sea and it was dried up; and he led them through the deep as through a wilderness;
and saved them from the hand of those who hated them, and delivered them out of an enemy's hand.
The water covered those who afflicted them, not an individual of them was left.
