1 Then some Scribes and Pharisees from Jerusalem accosted Jesus, saying,
2 Why do thy disciples transgress the doctrine of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.
3 In reply to which he said to them, Why do you transgress the commandment of God, from a regard to your doctrines?
