16 and strictly charged them not to make him known;
17 so that there was a full confirmation of what was spoken by the prophet Esaias saying,
18 "Behold my servant whom I have chosen! My beloved in whom my soul is well pleased! I will put my spirit upon him; and he will publish judgment to the nations.
19 He will not contend nor raise a clamour; nor shall any one hear his voice in the streets.
20 A bruised reed he will not break, nor extinguish a dimly burning taper, until he render his judgment victorious.
