20 So he was brought to him. And soon as he saw Jesus, the spirit threw him into convulsions; and, falling on the ground, he rolled about and foamed.
21 And Jesus asked his father, How long since this befel him? And he said, From his childhood.
22 And oft times it hath cast him into fire, and into waters to destroy him. But if thou canst do anything, have compassion on us and help us.
23 Thereupon Jesus said to him, With regard to this canst thou believe? All things are possible for him who believeth.
24 Upon which the father of the child immediately cried out, and with tears said, I do believe: Help, O sir, my unbelief.
25 And when Jesus saw that the people were crowding upon him, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I command thee; Go out of him; and enter no more into him;
26 and the demon having screamed, and severely convulsed him, went out. And he was like one dead. So that many said, He is dead.
