John 3:3-8 Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily I say to thee, unless a man be born again, he cannot discern the reign of God.

Thomson⁽ⁱ⁾ ³ Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily I say to thee, unless a man be born again, he cannot discern the reign of God. ⁴ Nicodemus saith to him, How can a man be born, when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born? ⁵ Jesus answered, Verily, verily I say to thee, unless a man be born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. ⁶ That which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that which is born of the spirit, is spirit. ⁷ Wonder not at my telling thee, You must be born again. ⁸ That blast of wind bloweth where it pleaseth, and thou hearest the sound of it, but dost not know whence it cometh and whither it goeth. So is every one who is born of the spirit.
