When he shall call thee by a new name which the Lord himself will give thee; ³ then thou shalt be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. ⁴ And thou shalt no more be called, Forsaken; nor shall thy land any more be called, The desert; but thy name shall be called My delight; and that of thy country, The inhabited land. Because the Lord is well pleased with thee therefore thy land shall be thickly inhabited: ⁵ and as a youth cohabiting with a virgin bride, so shall thy sons inhabit it: and 'as a bridegroom will rejoice in his bride, so will the Lord rejoice over thee.
