For the whole law is summed up in this one precept, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Now if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you be not destroyed by one another.
This then I say, walk by the spirit and by no means fulfil the lust of the flesh.
For the inclinations of the flesh are contrary to the spirit; and the inclinations of the spirit are contrary to the flesh; they are opposed to one another; so that you do not, what you wish;
but if you are led by the spirit you are not under law.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest"they are these"adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
idolatry, fascinations, enmities, strifes, emulations, .animosities, contentions, factions, sects,
envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and the like, of which I forewarn you, as I have indeed before declared that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God:
But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness,
meekness, temperance; against such things there is no law.
Now they who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
