4 but when the goodness and philanthropy of the Saviour our God appeared,
5 not by works of righteousness which we did but according to his mercy he saved us through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,
6 which he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
