Genesis 50:15-17 Now, when the brethren of Joseph saw that their father was dead, they said––Oh! if Joseph should lie in wait for us,––and, should return, to us, all the evil wherewith we requited him!

Now, therefore, grant forgiveness, we pray thee, for the transgression of the servants of the God of thy father! And Joseph wept, when they spake unto him.
