RKJNT(i)
But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
And Jesus answered, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, who stripped him of his clothing, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
And by chance a certain priest came down that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
And likewise a Levite, when he came to that place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
And on the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.
Now which of these three, do you think, was a neighbour to him who fell among the robbers?
And he said, He who showed mercy on him. Then Jesus said to him, Go, and do likewise.
