34 And the Pharisees, hearing that he had put the Sadducees to silence, assembled together;
35 and one of them, a lawyer, asked, trying him,
36 Teacher, which commandment is great in the Law?
37 And he said to him, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind."
38 This is the great and first commandment.
39 There is a second like it: "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.
