Luke 24:24-32

Noyes(i) 24 And some of those who were with us went to the tomb, and found it to be as the women had said; but him they saw not. 25 And he said to them, O dull of apprehension, and slow of heart to believe all that the Prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things, and enter into his glory? 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. 28 And they drew near to the village whither they were going; and he made as though he would go further. 29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us, for it is towards evening, and the day is now far spent. And he went in to stay with them. 30 And it came to pass, as he was at table with them, that he took the bread, and blessed it, and broke and gave it to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32 And they said one to another, Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked with us on the way, while he opened to us the Scriptures?
