7 Wherfore as the holy ghoste sayeth, to daye yf ye shal heare his voice,
8 harden not youre hertes, after the rebellion in the day of temptacion in the wyldernes,
9 where youre fathers tempted me, proued me, and sawe my workes .xl. yeares longe.
10 Wherfore I was greued wyth that generacion and sayde. They erre euer in their hertes, they verely haue not knowen my wayes,
11 so that I sware in my wrath, that they should not enter into my reste.
