5 For as the affliccions of Christ are plenteous in vs: euen so is our consolacion plenteous by Christe.
6 Whether we be troubled for youre consolacion & saluacion, whiche saluacion, sheweth her power in that ye suffer the same afflictions which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted for your consolacion, and saluation,
7 yet oure hope is stedfast for you, in as muche as we knowe howe that as ye haue youre parte in affliccions, so shall ye be partakers of consolacion.
8 Brethren I woulde not haue you ignoraunt of oure trouble, whiche happened vnto vs in Asia. For we were greued out of measure passinge strength, so greatlye that we despeared euen of lyfe.
